The sound of drills on the walls increased and holes at different points were blasted through. Men in overall black poured in through this holes.

Surprisingly, they held with them what Madeline and Lydia were sure were guns.

The two women took a fighting stance. With Madeline already releasing a part of her aura forming a giant claw before her.

"Father Fred! You and your halots should surrender immediately, your men are dead and you are surrounded."

This was an order from one of the men in black overalls. From his talk, he was most likely the leader.

Some of the guns were pointed to Madeline and Lydia, with a major of them to Father Fred and his giant fish bowl.

Madeline was still contemplating an excape route, but the moment she heard that man call her and Lydia 'Halots', something snapped in her.

She immediately released her aura and as in went forward, a chimera made entirely of aura appeared.

"FIRE!"

Sparks of light like the shimmering of stars reflecting off water went off in

Madeline laughed again. "Is it not obvious? The second is Aesir and Gina. These two have currently been accepted as members of the Ebora. Although we were not able to get Grootslang, we were still able to get the a person into the royal house and two into the biggest gang. As it is, we are still on track."Lydia nodded in understanding, but she still could not shake off the feeling of something being wrong. Maybe it was just her feelings for Derek getting in the way, she was still actually worried.....Meanwhile, Derek was escorted personally by Esther back to the true Atlas hidden deep within the Submerged region. Before the short journey had started back to Atlas, a guard had suggested that Esther blinded Derek with a cloth or a bag over his head. She had taken his life on the spot. What the poor guard did not know was that this guest of theirs that they had been ordered to obey no matter what by the king was actually their Kings boss.Writers were a prideful bunch. No matter th

Esther walked away with Derek still in her company. She could care less about an ant like Ramond. If not that she still had to consider his importance and standing, she would have really made him swim with the fishes. Derek did not know what or why what happened had just happened. But the look on Raymond's face was just too funny. He could not help but giggle a little. "What's so funny?" Esther asked. "If I were you, I would be more concerned about what I would do to you." "Ehh!?" Derek immediately swallowed back any laughter remaining in his throat. In front of Esther's quarters were two very tall huge men that acted as guards. They bowed the moment they saw Esther arrive. She pretended not to see them. Opening the doors, she entered inside. The first thing that met their sight made Derek's eyes widen in surprise and then squint in observation. It was Farida. She was wearing nothing but her undies. She sat in a corner on a couch with a glass of what Derek suspected was win

"And do you know the best part?" She came close enough to whisper into his ears, "it just might."She waved her hand and runes gathered to form a long needle."So are you going to tell me or not? Which noble Writer family are you from?"She pulled his head closer. "I said which noble..." She was distracted by the slight smile she saw that was still on his face. She moved back and Gabe him a kick to the face. A kick that was hard enough to spill some blood."Don't worry, I know that did little to nothing on you. I plan to excavate you the right way." She touched the rune and twisted it again and Derek screamed some more."Listen to me boy. As of this moment, most of the blood in your body have gone straight down to your legs."She pulled him by his hair and bent his head to see.Derek's eyes widened a bit at what he saw.He could clearly see that his pants were about to burst from the pressure. And mounting it's back, she delivered a crushing blow to its neck.*Caw!* It screamed again. However, she did not stop for a bit and after the fourth blow, the eagle passed out. Derek and Aesir stared at her in surprise as she slowly stood from the eagle's back. She made fierce eye contact with Derek and then looked away. Aesir turned to Derek with a brow up, and Derek raised his hands in surrender, "what I'm innocent. I swear!" "Of course you are." Aesir smiled and walked away.Manila began work immediately. The plan was to use the bird as a distraction for the scorpions so that they could pass. The best way to do this would be for them to make sure that the beast could no longer pick up flight.Manila was unsurprisingly skilled at this. She cut out the feathers of the beast.Aesir and Derek also joined her and helped. Soon eno

Derek could not help but look at them and observe them. These were not like the scorpions he knew from earth. For one, they produced webbings from their tail end. Also, there seemed to be very organized and particularly busy. Some of them were bigger, but those big ones were few. And from the looks of it, they monitored the activities of the smaller ones. Aesir asked, "how far are we talking of?"She pointed to the hill far in the distance. "That far? But that will take at least an extra day off our schedule." Derek added."Yeah! It will. But it will be far better than to have those things have our scent. Cause ones they do, they will follow us for a very long time." Manila advised."Hmmm. Is there no way to distract them?" Derek asked."Well, there are a couple of ways that could work. However, we don't even have the necessary materials to make tha

Madeline nodded her head in understanding to Chief Sasha's words."So what does this have to do with aura?" Madeline asked."Well! Every thing." She picked up another stone from the ground, "according to your definition of aura, then aura is this object in your hands. And has stated earlier, it weighs you down over time." Chief Sasha turned and threw the stone into the water, then she turned once more and slowly released her aura, "However, if you understand that all it is, is an extension of your body, then behold the weight is gone. After all, your hands have always been attached to the rest of your body and you don't hear them complaining."Those words suddenly stroke difference to Madeline. Meanwhile, back at the mountain that belonged to the Waka tribe, Derek sat crossed legged in a cave assigned to him. This cave was by far a better one than the one he had and his friends had been sharing on first arrival. Also it was decorated appropriately and it even had a bed in the middle made of several animal fur. Derek had already given out instruction that he would loved to be left alone for a while, if not the entrance to this place would have been crowded by people. With rumours of the tribe having a writer as a guest, every body wanted to meet him. Also, tales of his marvelous feat from the battle earlier in the day had reached their ears.He was as good as a god to them at this point. At the entrance of the cave already lay all sorts of gifts for him. However, Derek was not all that interested in playing messiah at the moment. He just had too much on his mind. Too much problems that needed his attention. One of which was the pressing matter that both his women were mis
