"Are you sure?" Derek asked Esther.

"It is true." Elder Caleb answered, "others might not know, but my line of work gives me permission to exclusively incredible knowledge."

"So you are telling me that my sisters were shipped off world to be someone's weapon?" As Aesir talked, his grip around the Elder's neck tightened.

"Not yet!" Esther's voice brought him out of his anger.

"Not yet! If it is true that they are your younger sisters, then not yet. The older a child of Book–light, the more valuable they are. To truly get the maximum benefit from them, they will have to be used just before the age of eighteen."

Esther took a look at Aesir, "from the looks of it, you are probably not up to eighteen years yourself. I am sure who ever ordered for them is aware of this. But that is not what borders me at the moment."
