"Because I wanted to make sure that you returned in a state that was clear of the tedium you were trying to overcome. Isn't that why you came out this late?"

Einer circulated his gaze awkwardly, for some reason he felt that Baron's sentence was like a subtle insinuation for him. It was like saying that Einer shouldn't have come home this late, because he was here working, not on vacation.

Einer replied, "I already feel better, but now I need to is-"

"I hope you do too."

Einer paused, the Baron's words that interrupted him made Einer frown in confusion.

"What do you mean?" asked Einer, and the Baron raised his head - looking straight into Einer's face.

"You know, sir? Since you left, Mademoiselle hasn't slept at all. She can't sleep, she just cries." Einer looked at the second floor where Chelsea's room was, and the light was still on. Then he looked at the Baron again, and the man moved closer surprising Einer with his words. "You know, right, what you should do?"
