005 : Come To Congrats The Genius Sister

Victor walked up to Veneza, and his appearance made all the guests take a notice.

"I've come to congratulate my brilliant sister," Victor said, taking Veneza's hand and kissing it. "Congratulations on your doctor's degree, Vene. May you become a great doctor and not be partial."

The look on Victor's face must have made Veneza feel annoyed. Before Victor could kiss the back of her hand, she pulled her hand away roughly with a look of displeasure.

"What are you doing here? I didn't invite you!" said Veneza.

"Yes, of course, I know that I wasn't invited, it was like that before and it always is. But isn't this a good day? Don't you want to receive good wishes from others for your success?"

"I... accept your good wishes? Why would I do something stupid?"

"You just need to accept it."

"What exactly do you want? What did you come here for? You know you're just making things uncomfortable and annoying?"

Victor didn't seem to care about Veneza's words and instead reached for a glass of wine to drink. He said, "Isn't it your scolding voice that's making this party so uncomfortable? At least out of respect for your guests, hold your temper a little. Pretend like we're siblings who get along. If you can't be gentle with me, how are you going to deal with your patients?"

Veneza was silent, slapped by Victor's words. She looked around and realized that the guests were also watching her throw a temper tantrum at her own party.

Veneza was embarrassed, and Sera, seeing this, rushed to push Victor away from her daughter.

"How dare you talk to my daughter like that!" Sera snapped at Victor. "You're as shameless as your mother!"

Victor replied casually. "I'm just glad that I resemble mom so much."

"Hah! You're shameless! You didn't come here to give my daughter congratulations or good wishes. You must have come here to curse my daughter's career, and you must have come with the grudge of your mother's soul who died just two weeks ago, right!"

"What kind of person still believes in such ancient things in this day?" Victor replied, then looked at Sera coldly. Unlike his past self who refused to meet eyes with the sibling who oppressed him. "My mother is not one to curse others for no reason. If you think I came to bring a curse from her, then you personally know what painful things you have done to my mother, so that she would have a curse on you and your daughter, huh?"

Sera was dumbfounded, her eyes wide and furious. She clenched her fist before slapping Victor, shocking all the guests.

" What an asshole! A child like you should be given a harder lesson in etiquette than others!" Sera said, furious.

Victor felt his ears ring for a moment from Sera's hard slap, but he kept his cool and kept his head up.

Victor straightened the gray suit he was wearing and said, "I might be lacking in ethics classes, Mrs. Sera. What can I do? I'm the only one who didn't get ethics class while my other nine siblings did." Victor glanced at Antonio, and the man with the thin beard did nothing but give him a very sharp glare.

Victor sighed. "Perhaps you greeted your brother's presence with cynicism because I brought nothing, Vene. But if you come out, you will find the gift I brought for you, that is if you accept it." Victor briefly glanced at Maria who was also at the party, standing next to Verlaine, before walking towards the exit. "I'm leaving. All the best to you, Vene."

After Victor left, Veneza still felt angry. She felt like Victor's presence had just ruined the party, even though she thought the day was going to be perfect.

"He's like an annoying bug," Veneza said, clenching her fists and still looking angrily at the door Victor had walked through. Then she remembered Victor's words and ran outside the party hall to look at the gift Victor had brought for her.

There was nothing there, and Victor had already left. But when Veneza looked down, she found a medium-sized gift box. Veneza picked up the box and knew that it was the gift Victor had given her.

"What's this?" asked Veneza, and when she opened it, her eyes bulged in shock. "This is... a Garavey brand necklace? This is a $50,000 necklace? Is this real?"

"It's real." Veneza was surprised to see Naomi already standing behind her, followed by Sera, and the others. "I've seen a lot of jewelry, gold, diamonds and whatnot. I know what's real and what's fake. And the one in your hand is real."

Veneza was getting more and more incredulous. "How could he give this to me? No, I mean, how could he buy this? Where did he get the money?"

"Woah... that's a really pretty necklace. Do you hate it?" asked Naomi, "If you hate it because Victor gave it to you, give it to me. I don't hate Victor-"

"No!" Veneza took the necklace away from Naomi. "He gave it to me, so it's mine!" Veneza said and walked inside while holding back her embarrassment.

[Level up! The user's current level: 2]

Victor sighed and felt a little relieved after he finished doing the task his system gave him. He spent $250,000 on jewelry and buying shares of Simon Drave's company. He disguised his identity and managed to become the highest shareholder, that way he could ask Simon to cut off the cooperation with Leighton.

"It would be nice if he stopped licking Leighton's feet," Victor said, rubbing his cheek. "Mrs. Sera's slap marks hurt a lot. The heat is still here."

Victor's gaze went to the street, but he still remembered how his siblings had treated him at the Veneza party.

"They're still the same. Some were insulting, and the rest just watched like I was a joke. These people are trash," Victor said, tightening his grip on the steering wheel. "If Mom was still around, she would have been the most insulted person. It's a pity. Did she deserve to have such a bad life? Even after her death, there are still people who speak ill of her." Victor thought of Mark.

"But no matter, mom can rest now. And I will avenge all the insults. I will start from the lowest point, and I will definitely make Antonio Leighton apologize to you."

Victor then left for a place, where he would start his first business even though he had no business talent at all.

Victor arrived at a small warehouse, he entered the warehouse and saw a man sitting with a sad look.

"Nice day for daydreaming," he said, distracting the man. He looked surprised at Victor's arrival. "Are you living well, Dylan?"
