Victor glanced at the man who was secretly watching Vania. It looked like he was the one Damian Huppert had told to spy on his own girlfriend.

"This is getting interesting." Victor sighed and stood up straight, trying not to show that he had come to make sure about Vania and Damian's relationship. "How are you, Vania?" Victor asked.

"You can see it yourself. I'm perfectly fine," Vania said, coldly dismissing Victor's visit to her. "What are you doing here? If it's to talk to me, then I'd say I don't have time to talk to you. I have a lot of work to do."

"Of course, it's a lot, it must be the work that's piling up even more since you ignored them for five days, right?"

Vania was surprised for a moment, then she looked at Victor sharply. "How did you know that? Did you dig up anything about me?"

"Of course, Vania, I planned to see you. How could I not find out where you were first. And it was quite a surprise that you didn't come to work for five days straight." Vania averted her gaze,
