048 : Apology

After the hug and the words, things got a little awkward between Violet and Victor.

They've sat apart since a nurse arrived to check Victor's condition.

"Hey, are you going to stay put, or are you going home?" Victor asked after nearly 15 minutes of silence with Violet.

Violet tried to act normal, but it was evident that she was feeling awkward. Did she regret her own decision to hug Victor?

"Do you regret hugging me?"

"H-huh?"

Victor looked at Violet with his calm, cold face. "Do you wish you could turn back the clock to avoid hugging me?"

"Why are you talking like that?"

"Your face looks like you want to talk like that."

Violet bit her lower lip. It was true that she felt that her spontaneous reaction was embarrassing. Still, she had no regrets after hugging Victor out of sheer delight.

"I was just so happy that you weren't dead. I didn't think about my actions."

Victor nodded. "Makes sense," he said. "So, how long have I been asleep?"

"Three days."

"Wow. That's quite a long time."
