No sooner was he back up to speed than the cell phone, which seemed to have been ignored, lit up-providing a sound and vibration that made Victor turn his attention back to the flat object.

Victor pulled over again, picked up his cell phone and opened the message Adam had given him.

When he read the message that Adam had managed to track William's whereabouts, Victor seemed to smile with relief. But when he found out where William was most likely to be, all the man could manage was a disappointed expression.

Really, Victor didn't want to be prejudiced, nor did he want to think that William had disappeared after meeting his son. Victor didn't want to... he couldn't bear the thought of what might happen if what he was thinking was real.

He took a breath, letting it out slowly before he started the engine again and rushed off to the location Adam had sent him.

But Victor couldn't help it, his head was now filled with negative images of what might happen where he was going.
