001 - No Place For Losers

It was another hectic day for Adams Smith, also known as Crazy Psycho, as he exited the cab that had brought him home from work. He took out his wallet to pay the cab driver and discovered that there were only ten dollars left in it.

He recalls the cab driver saying earlier that his fee was eight dollars. Adams sighed. He reluctantly took out the money and handed it to the taxi driver. The minutes he spent waiting for the cab driver to give him his change felt like hours to him.

Adams was impatient because he had only two dollars left. It could not even afford him Western bread and soy milk for breakfast, but he insisted on keeping it.

Adams walks down the street, tired from receiving the remaining fee of two dollars. The complex where he lives is the 45-story skyscraper in front of him.

Adams entered the elevator and pressed the thirtieth floor. He could feel the mocking stare from behind him. Their gaze seemed to penetrate his sandy rigid skin. Everyone knew him to be a loser and a nobody.

He had made no progress in life, which caused him to lose almost everyone around him except his lovely Samantha, his fiancee, with whom he had been engaged for five years. Samantha has been the only person who has stood by him and helped him through the tough times of life.

The thought of the blonde-haired lady with eight curvy figures, alluring natural leaf green eyes, and bright skin made his face light up.

At the thirtieth floor, the elevator door opened, and he sauntered out, their shameful gazes still following his disappearing silhouette.

"Ooh, if not our crazy psycho, who else will walk on the marble floor with mud-soaked boots?"

He hears a lady say: He stares at her with his side eye and stylishly looks down at his boot. He did not notice that his boots were covered in mud.

Adams clasped his palm and turned a deaf ear to her words. He is only a few flats away from his home, where he and his darling fiancee live, and he does not want to cause any problems.

Besides, he knew Sandra Grey had recently been dumped by her boyfriend. She is probably looking for ways to express her annoyance, and he is not prepared to be the one to entertain her nuisance. He just wants to go home and hug his little sunshine, Samantha Salvador.

Adams arrived at the door of his apartment. His salary could only cover a single room, bathroom, kitchen, and living room; fortunately, his fiancee had no regard for wealth. He beamed as he pulled the keys from his pants pocket and inserted them into the keyhole, only to realize the door was open.

'Did Sunshine forget to lock the door after returning home?' Adams pondered. He shrugged and pushed the door open. The blue tuxedo suit jacket, humbly placed on the cushion in the sitting room, was the first thing to catch his dark orbs. His brow furrowed as he noticed a pair of sophisticated black brogues near the doorway. The shoes seemed familiar to him.

Adams stepped inside his apartment; the clean home he had left was in disarray, and he could hear noises coming from the bedroom.

He froze, his pupils contracted, and his breathing became labored.

"Oh, Evan, please." He hears the voice again. The same words came from none but his beloved.

His heart broke into shards. His mind pleaded that everything he heard was a hallucination and that what he felt was unreal.

Adams matched his steps toward the bedroom, each one sucking away his sanity. He could hear the bed creak as he approached. The loud moans of his beloved and the pleasant grunt of a voice were thoughts he had heard before.

His eyes were bloodshot as energy drained from his poor soul, nearly forcing him to his knees as he pushed through the cracked door.

His fiancee was lying naked with her legs spread apart, with a sweaty man in between them. And he is none other than his boss at the office.

Evans George, the CEO of the company where he works as a cleric, is in his home, lying between his fiancee's legs.

Blood rushed through his brain at such a blatant betrayal. Samantha showed no remorse for her actions. Her irritated expression made it clear that she had done this before.

Sam had been cheating, and she frequently claimed no sex until marriage. "Why?" Adams asked, his voice barely audible.

"Why?" Samantha asks Adams, mocking him.

"What a strange question, Adams; you of all people should know why," she said.

"But you love me; why would you decide to cheat on me, Samantha? It would have been better if you had ended things before doing this," Adams muttered.

He still can not get over the fact that the lady he wants to hug and prepare dinner for is lying on his bed with another man. And she is looking at him with contempt and disgust. Treating him as if he were the world's filthiest item that should be discarded. The same look everyone threw at him.

Samantha wrapped her arms around Evan's neck. She planted a soft kiss on his cheekbone, and they both laughed, making him appear like a clown.

"Because Evans wanted it. He wanted you to learn for yourself. To think that you've been so dense for the past three years, I don't know what to say," Samantha replied mockingly.

Adams instantly collapsed on his knees. His perfect love was a hoax, a joke, and a game. Why? What made his life so cruel? Adams’ lament and the words his fiancee would say next were bound to turn his life upside down.

"I am no longer in love with you, Adams. I could not love a man who behaves like a mentally unstable person, going out in rags and old, worn-out clothes."

"I can not love a crazy psycho guy who believes in miracles and false hope for riches. Wake up to reality, Adams; there is no place for losers like you in this beautiful world. "
