083 - Chosen To Save Himself

Evans stood up from his cot and stretched his arms above his head, arching his back to relieve the tension. He had been in this small cell for what felt like an eternity, and he was eager to get out and stretch his legs.

As he heard the sound of footsteps approaching, Evans turned to face the door. The guard unlocked it and gestured for him to come out. “Time to go, Evans,” he said gruffly.

Evans nodded and stepped out of the cell, blinking in the bright light of the corridor. He was escorted by two guards, who led him down the hallway to a small interview room.

As they approached the room, Evans saw Samantha being led out of her cell, flanked by two guards of her own. She looked pale and nervous, but her eyes locked onto Evans' and she smiled slightly.

The guards opened the door to the interview room and gestured for Evans and Samantha to enter. They did so, followed by their respective guards, who stood watchfully by the door.
