099 - Erebus

Lorenzo looked at the map on the screen, studying the layout of Sector 4. The anomaly was located in the heart of the sector, surrounded by a maze of dark corridors and narrow pathways.

“Time to get moving,” Lorenzo muttered.

He set off towards the anomaly, his footsteps echoing through the empty corridors. The air was thick with an eerie silence, and Lorenzo's skin crawled with every step.

As he walked, the darkness seemed to grow thicker, like a living entity wrapping itself around him. Lorenzo's heart pounded in his chest, but he refused to back down. It's either KILL or BE KILLED.

Suddenly, the lights flickered and died, plunging the corridor into total darkness. Lorenzo froze. His senses were high on alert.

“System, what's going on?” he whispered, his voice barely audible. But he got no response. Lorenzo was frightened to the bones.

[Power outage,] [Backup generators online.]

The lights flickered back to life, casting eerie shadows on the walls. Lorenzo's eyes adjusted slowly,
