Chapter 114

"My father..." Dakota paused momentarily, staring at various photos of a man who looked to be in his mid-thirties, along with a small child who was himself and a woman who was the same age as the adult man.

Dakota is currently at the O'Connor family home. James takes him to see traces of his father in a room that once belonged to him.

Dakota's eyes stare blankly. All this time, he did not know the whereabouts of his parents until he concluded that he was an orphan who did not have parents, and it turned out to be true.

"What kind of person is he, sir?" Dakota turned to James.

James smiled sadly as he heard Dakota calling him 'mister' instead of 'grandpa.' James knew it wasn't easy to accept a sudden change.

He looked at Dakota warmly. "Your father was a warm man." His eyes seemed to reminisce those times with longing. "He was the opposite of your attitude. Your father was cheerful, friendly, and kind. Because of that attitude, people looked down on him, thinking he wasn't fit to lead.
