Anna chuckled with a flushed face. "Never mind, you're praising me too much. I'm not that pretty."

Dakota smiled in response. They chatted casually, just flowing for several tens of minutes. It wasn't uncommon for her to laugh. Anna felt very happy and comfortable talking to Dakota. It was different when talking to Jay, who often made her talk to herself because Jay was more focused on playing on cell phones in front of her.

Anna watched Dakota with a slightly furrowed brow. "Ah, I had forgotten. How did you find out about Jay planning that bad thing for me? I didn't even know about it myself."

Dakota, who was drinking, became silent and then smiled slightly. "You don't need to know that."

Anna nodded her head. "Yes, you're right. I don't need to know that." She sipped her drink with her eyes, not leaving Dakota. "I'm glad I got to meet and talk to a man like you, Dakota. You can understand how I am."

Dakota responded to Anna's words calmly. "I'm glad that our meeting made a good impression on you."

I'm grateful for having this kind of ability.

Dakota could even see that the woman before him seemed very happy with him. It was obvious from Anna's face, which was still flushed, blushing. Even Anna acted wrong in front of Dakota, which made Dakota feel sure that Anna was starting to be interested in him.

Anna received another message that she had to return to the company immediately. She put her cell phone in her bag with a sad look on her face. "I'm sorry, Dakota. Apparently, our meeting was short-lived. Next time, I'll treat you better than this as an expression of my gratitude."

Dakota shook his head as she got up. "There's no need. This is enough."

However, Dakota's head suddenly hurt. His body was unsteady, and he almost fell down. Anna immediately helped Dakota to sit back on the chair. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"

Dakota held his head while exhaling. "My head still hurts a lot from the collision that day."

Anna widened her eyes, surprised by Dakota's words. "Collision? When did it happen, and why did it happen?" Anna sits back in her chair, curious about what happened to Dakota.

Dakota leaned his back against the back of the chair. "I don't know, but I was so distracted that I didn't realize a truck was approaching. I got hit and when I woke up, I was already in the hospital. I was discharged today after a week of hospitalization."

Anna was even more shocked listening to Dakota's explanation. She felt sorry for Dakota. "You should still be resting in the hospital and receiving follow-up care, Dakota. I'm sure you were going to go home, but instead you saw me and Jay fighting. You had to deal with us. I'm sorry, Dakota."

The woman looked guilty to Dakota. Dakota held Anna's hand on the table, trying to calm Anna down. "Calm down, it's okay. I've gotten good treatment. It's not your fault. After all, it was me who wanted to help you. You don't need to beat yourself up."

Anna squeezed the fabric of her shirt right in front of her chest. Seeing Dakota's shady eyes made Anna's heart skip a beat. They looked at each other for a while with their hands still holding each other. In an atmosphere that was very supportive of their closeness, suddenly, there was a voice that Dakota knew very well.

"Hey, loser! You were flirting with another woman after being dumped, huh." Ghea sneered at Dakota with her arrogant face.

Dakota removed his hand from Anna's. He stared coldly at Ghea. He replied calmly. "None of your business."

Ghea snorted in annoyance as she rolled her eyes. "How arrogant. You're tired of being rejected by me, so you're looking for a new target? You lowly man!"

Actually, Dakota was too lazy to meet Ghea again. He didn't respond to Ghea's words and looked at Anna before him. Ghea, on the other hand, looked at Anna with a displeased look. She was not happy to see that scene.

Ghea looked at Anna from head to toe. "You should look in the mirror, Dakota. Look at the obvious difference between you and that woman. From afar, it's obvious that you're more suited to be her servant."

Bruno chuckled as he girded his loins. "Anyone would think so. Just look at his clothes, even a servant is more presentable than him."

Anna frowned, beginning to dislike hearing their insults to Dakota. "Do you know them, Dakota?"

Bruno stepped closer to their table, then looked at Dakota and Anna in turn. "Of course, we know each other. Everyone on campus knows him as a poor, shameless lowlife!"

Anna held back Dakota's hand, who just silently accepted Ghea and Bruno's insults. "Why are you doing nothing? Haven't they gone too far?"

Dakota was still silent. His demeanor looked calm, not bothered by Ghea and Bruno's insults. Seeing Anna holding Dakota's hand gently made Ghea even more unhappy. Something disturbing in Ghea's heart was that Dakota forgot about her so quickly.

Ghea folded her hands in front of her chest while snorting in annoyance. "You're the woman Dakota is getting close to, huh?"

Anna was silent. She didn't know what to answer because she and Dakota had just met. She didn't know whether it could be called an approach or not. She looked at Dakota, who still looked calm.

Ghea didn't like that Anna seemed to be ignoring her. "Just so you know, I just rejected Dakota after he confessed his love a hundred times. He's a poor man. No one would want him. That's why you should stay away from him too!"

Bruno laughed again, mocking Dakota while putting his arm around Ghea's shoulder. "Of course, any woman would also think dozens of times about getting close to him. You should do the same. Stay away from that loser!"

Anna was quite surprised to hear Ghea's statement about Dakota's declaration of love, but there was also a feeling of admiration in her heart because it meant that Dakota was a man who was loyal to women. He didn't give up even after being rejected hundreds of times.

Dakota looked at Ghea and Bruno with an annoyed look but was still calm. "Then what's your business?"

Ghea and Bruno chuckled at Dakota's question. Bruno raised his chin haughtily. "What a shameless man. How dare you ask such an impolite question. Sassy bastard!"

Dakota clenched his hands under the table. He wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. Dakota looked at Anna with a cold look in his eyes. "Anna, we should just get out of here. Aren't you in a hurry too?"

Anna nodded her head quickly and got up along with Dakota. They walked together to leave, but Ghea and Bruno stopped them.

"Wait a minute!" Bruno raised his hand, blocking Dakota's way. "You can't just leave, you idiot!"

Bruno looked at Anna's shy face. He smirked at the woman's face. Damn it. She was so beautiful. Even more beautiful than Ghea.

Dakota, who heard Bruno's inner voice, looked at the man coldly. "Don't block us. She's in a hurry."

Bruno chuckled in annoyance. He pushed Dakota's shoulder back a few steps. "You really are a shameless man. A poor man like you dares to approach this woman. You'll only be a parasite to her. You should be ashamed and look in the mirror, why Ghea rejected you so many times is because you're poor!"

"Yes, that's right! Now you're pretending to ask her out at the cafe. Do you have the money to treat her?" Ghea also sneered at Dakota. She berated Dakota with a loud tone that made everyone there look at them. "Isn't this the woman who bought you? How embarrassing!"

Bruno raised both eyebrows while looking contemptuously at Dakota. "Of course she did. A man like him, where does he get his money from? A parasite, forever just going to be a parasite. Costing those close to him dearly!" Bruno looked at Anna. "Hey, you'd better stay away from this guy. He'll embarrass you!"

Ghea nodded her head. "Besides, what's the point of dating a poor guy like him? Men are supposed to treat women, not the other way around. Dakota, you should feel ashamed, but you're acting calm like that. Disgusting."

Bruno laughed while shaking his head. "If I were him, I wouldn't be able to show my face in front of people. People who only live as parasites are better off dead!"

Ghea and Bruno's words to Dakota made Anna Dakota upset. "Stop it. You guys have gone too far. Don't talk carelessly to my girlfriend!"

Anna's statement suddenly made Ghea and Bruno surprised to hear it, including Dakota, who immediately looked at Anna in disbelief.

Of course, that didn't make Ghea and Bruno believe Anna's words. They laughed until Anna frowned, confused. Dakota watched the two people before him with cold eyes, not moving at all.Ghea wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes because she was laughing too much. "Are you kidding me? That's impossible."Bruno chuckled and shook his head. "No need to make up stories. You think we'll believe those lies?" He glanced at Anna with a condescending look. "You must have been asked to pretend to be his girlfriend, huh? What a pity!"Anna frowned. She had a hard look on her face. "No, no, no. We are dating. Dakota is my girlfriend."Even though they weren't actually dating, Anna would have done the same thing Dakota did earlier for her to break up with Jay.Bruno raised both eyebrows with a great look on his face. "What reward did this man give you? A lowly man like Dakota would do anything to get his way. He's an imposter! We warned you to stay away from this man!"Ghea tilted her head sli

After leaving Bruno and Ghea, Anna continued to chuckle as she drove, remembering the faces of the two people who looked surprised that Anna was richer than Bruno. She glanced back at Dakota. "Did you see how surprised their faces were? It was so funny."Dakota smiled in response to Anna's words. She didn't expect that a seemingly shy woman like Anna could do such a brave thing. "It turns out you're brave enough to fight them too."Anna smiled, watched Dakota for a moment, then focused back on looking straight ahead. "That's because of you. You helped me first. Thank you, Dakota."Dakota nodded her head in response to Anna's thanks. "Now we're even. You don't have to treat me anymore."Anna immediately turned to Dakota with a severe look in her eyes. She shook her head, disagreeing with the man's words. "I can't. I've promised to treat you better than today, Dakota. And you can't refuse it."Dakota nodded with a chuckle. "Okay."Although she refused on her lips, she was pleased in her

Dakota tried his best to remain silent, even though the security guard was equally trying to drag Dakota's body away from there. All the employees were laughing at Dakota. Dominic was again rude to Dakota by pushing the man's body. "Don't make up stories. We as employees here have never come together with Miss Anna. Are you dreaming in broad daylight like this? You're crazy!"Another woman shook her head while chuckling in annoyance. After all, everyone here knew that not just anyone could get close to Anna. "You'd better get out of here now before we call the manager to kick you out because if Manager Robin intervenes, you'll be sent straight to jail!"Dominic chuckled. He actually felt satisfied hearing that. "Let him go to jail. I'm sure, he must be a poor person with no home." He folded his arms across his chest. "A poor person like him deserves to live i

Everyone there was shocked to hear Anna's story. How could a messy-looking man like Dakota be Anna's lover? They all looked at each other. Their heads were all in the same place, wondering what was happening. The one who could least accept this was Dominic. He approached Anna boldly. "Excuse me, are you kidding me? How could a man like him be your lover?"Anna gave Dominic a sharp look, even sharper than before. "Watch your language. What's wrong with him? I won't forgive anyone who insulted him earlier, including you, Dominic." Anna held Dakota's wrist as she gave the man a deep look. "Come on, let's get out of here."They all fell silent, feeling bad for Anna. Because this was also very surprising for all of them. They thought that Anna's lover was a man from a respected family and was very rich like Anna, but in fact, it was a shabby-looking man like Dakota. However, they also couldn't deny that Anna had said it herself. Anna led Dakota out of the lobby, regardless of the confused

Dakota had re-entered the campus. As usual, everyone's gaze remained the same, looking down on him and insulting him. However, Dakota didn't care about that because her only goal was college. There were still thirty minutes before Dakota's first class started. Dakota decided to relax first in the campus park while rereading the lessons passed during this week."Well, well, who's here? I thought, you wouldn't come to campus anymore after having a rich lover, Dakota."The voice was very familiar to Dakota. Who else, if not Ghea. Dakota was too lazy to face Ghea again. The man immediately got up, intending to leave, ignoring Ghea. But after a short step, Ghea had already blocked his body.Still feeling annoyed about the incident that day, Ghea ruffled her waist and stared at Dakota with a sharp, hateful look. Dakota didn't go to class. He deliberately searched for the woman in his mind's eye, who was raped by Hansen. He remembered that the woman's name was Adelle from the law school. Dakota couldn't figure out if Hansen had the heart to take away his chastity. Dakota immediately looked for Adelle's class. He frowned when he passed one of the classes, and then his footsteps stopped. "I kind of saw her there."Dakota took a few steps back, then looked into the classroom where Adelle was. He continued to watch the woman. Adelle looked glum and quiet, sitting in the back row. Dakota was sure that Adelle was mentally shaken by the rape. Dakota had to talk to Adelle. He decided to wait for Adelle until the class was over.Just after one hour, Adelle came out of her class. Dakota, who had been waiting since before, immediately approached the woman by holding Adelle's hand. Suddenly, she was shocked and scared."Let go of me!" Adelle tried to release Dakota's hand. She was terrified, thinking that

Adelle looked at Dakota. The doubts in her heart had disappeared because she saw the look in Dakota's eyes that implied sincerity. Adelle was sure that with this, she would get that justice. Adelle nodded her head in agreement with Dakota.Dakota smiled, then began to make a mutually agreed plan. "We'll set him up. I'll get him to confess to everything he's done, but we have to get him on tape." Dakota was still holding Adelle's cell phone. "I need your cell phone to record his confession because I don't have a cell phone."Adelle nodded her head, agreeing to Dakota's request. "Go ahead, there isn't anything important on there anyway."Dakota nodded. "Alright. We'll divide the tasks for this."They talked about how the flow in their trap should go smoothly. Both had agreed on it, and Dakota had prepared a scenario for Hansen to fall for the web.Adelle glanced at her watch, which was already unnoticed. They talked for almost half an hour. "Ah, I'm sorry. I have to go to class soon. I

Hansen's brow furrowed. However, his face still looked utterly innocent. "Everything you said was just nonsense, Dakota. You're just wasting my precious time. Before you report me, I will first report you to the authorities for defamation of your own professor."Hansen grinned. He took out his cell phone and dialed the police station. "I want to report my student who defamed his own lecturer. The location is in a park area near the Conburgh campus."The police officer on the other side responded to Hansen's report. "Yes, sir. We will be there shortly to follow up on your report."Hansen hung up the phone while grinning at Dakota. "Look, you're the one getting arrested by the police, Dakota. You can't do anything to me."Hansen wasn't messing around with that. He could use this situation to his advantage. By reporting Dakota to the police, of course, the campus will not believe Dakota, even with the evidence Dakota has.Dakota looked at Hansen with a severe look. "Are you sure you can
