"General Manager, Katherine?"

Liam's words hung in the air like a thunderclap. The air grew thick with tension, and the crowd's eyes widened in shock.

The guards immediately lowered their weapons. They couldn't afford to provoke Katherine.

"Does he mean General Manager Katherine, the General Manager of Eagle Industries?" someone gasped, his voice a mix of disbelief and awe.

"Who else could he be talking about?" another snapped, shooting him a withering glare. Such a foolish question!

The room instantly spiraled into a frenzy. Most people knew Katherine by name — the powerful General Manager of Eagle Industries — but few had ever seen her in person. So when she entered, many hadn’t recognized her. But now?

The whispers swirled like a storm.

"So that's her..."

"I never thought I'd see her in person in my lifetime. Now, I can die in peace."

"She's even more intimidating than I imagined."

"So noisy." Katherine hissed.

Instantly, as if someone had pressed a mute button, the room

"What?"Katherine's face turned frosty. She shot Sarah an icy glare. "You dare say it again?"She was on the verge of putting these fools in their place — of revealing that Robin was, in fact, the new chairman — but from the corner of her eye, she caught Robin subtly shaking his head. Her words froze in her throat. Understanding his unspoken request, she swallowed her anger.Marcus immediately grabbed Sarah's arm. "Apologize to General Manager Katherine!""Why should I?" Sarah snapped. "We did nothing wrong!""Sarah!" Marcus's face darkened. They were here to get the proposal approved — the last thing they needed was to provoke the general manager. If she said one word to the chairman, the partnership would be as good as dead. "Apologize now!""I'm not apologizing! For all we know, it might actually be the truth!"SMACK!Without warning, Marcus slapped Sarah across the face. "Why are you being so stubborn? Apologize to her!"Tears stung Sarah's cheeks as she clutched her burning face.

Several minutes later, the door to the CEO's office slowly creaked open, and a pale looking Liam stepped out. He looked completely defeated, his eyes red and puffy, his shoulders slumped. Even the once valiant spark in his gaze had faded, replaced by a hollow, lifeless stare. It was clear what had transpired in the CEO's office had deeply affected him. To put it plainly, it had shattered his worldview, leaving him completely unmoored. What he thought he knew, it turned out he knew nothing at all. The man he had scorned and dismissed as a mere pauper was, in fact, the new chairman and yet, he was so humble. Meanwhile, he, a mere Chief Liaison, had strutted around with his inflated ego, throwing his weightless weight around and acting as though he owned the whole world, even daring to insult the chairman and order for his legs to be broken and for him to be thrown out. Hah! How laughable. With his gaze fixed on the floor, Liam made his way back to the conference hall. Marc

His father’s roar was so loud that Marcus had to pull the phone away from his ear, afraid it might damage his eardrums. Staring down at the screen, his hand trembled slightly, and cold sweat broke out along his back. He had never seen his father this furious before — not once in his entire life. In fact, it was the first time his father had ever shouted at him. But he understood his father’s anger. A lot had been invested to secure this deal. Tears of frustration welled up in his eyes. He wasn’t foolish! Why would he provoke Liam when their family’s future depended on securing the deal? He had done no such thing. Everything was confusing. One minute, he and Liam were chatting happily, and the next, Liam was canceling the deal, cutting ties with him, and sending him out. What had he done wrong? He had no idea! “Dad,” he tried to explain, his voice cracking. But his father cut him off sharply. "I don't know what you've done. I don't care. But you better find a way to fix thing

"You bitch! Get back here!" the guards roared, chasing after Sarah. "General Manager Katherine! I need to talk to you!" Sarah shouted, picking up her pace. Standing in front of the podium, Katherine's brows knitted in irritation. What could this madwoman possibly want now? Not that it mattered anyway. She had no intention of acknowledging her. If not for Robin’s words back in the CEO's office—his firm command that she take no action against Sarah or Marcus–she would have killed this bitch already! Someone so ungrateful and ruthless didn't deserve to live! Meanwhile, the guards finally caught up with Sarah, grabbing her arms and forcefully pulling her back. "General Manager Katherine, please! I need to talk to you!" Sarah cried out desperately. Katherine kept her gaze elsewhere, acting as if she hadn’t heard a word. "Can't you see General Manager Katherine doesn't want anything to do with you? Move!" one of the guards snapped angrily, shoving Sarah even harder. "

Gritting her teeth, she spat angrily, “General Manager Katherine, how can you claim that I used that loser? Robin is worthless! By taking his bone marrow, I was doing him a favor! If it had stayed in his body, it would have been worth nothing just like the rest of him, but inside me, it’s worth millions. "By that logic, he actually owes me! So how can you say I took advantage of him? He should be thanking me every day for accepting his worthless bone marrow!” "Huh?" Katherine couldn't believe what she was hearing. She stared at Sarah in shock. Was someone truly this twisted? "Guards, get this lunatic out of here immediately! Just listening to her is killing my brain cells," Katherine ordered coldly. “Yes, boss!” The guards rushed forward, grabbing Sarah and dragging her out of the conference hall. “You brat! I don’t know what spell you cast on General Manager Katherine, but this isn’t over! For humiliating me like this, I’ll make you pay! I’ll kill you!” as they dragged her

"Let her go." The voice was soft, yet it carried an icy edge so chilling that the air itself seemed to freeze. The gang of five turned to the source of the voice. Sheila also lifted her gaze. A lone figure stood before them, bathed in the moon’s glow. The silver light cast an ethereal aura around him, making him look almost otherworldly. This lone figure was naturally Robin. Though this had nothing to do with him, he couldn’t just walk away and let it happen. His conscience wouldn’t allow it. For a brief moment, the thugs were stunned. But then— "Hahahaha!" They burst into laughter, their eyes scanning Robin from head to toe. Sure, he was good-looking—handsome enough to make women swoon. But that was all. He carried no trace of a martial artist’s discipline, no bloodthirsty aura of an assassin. And judging by his simple attire, he was far too poor to be one of the Dunn family’s bodyguards. In their eyes, he was just another pauper playing the hero. Pathetic. The leader sc

"Here." After knocking the leader unconscious, Robin removed his coat and handed it to Sheila, deliberately keeping his eyes away. Her dress had ridden up to her waist, leaving her completely exposed below, and she was barely covered on top. The last thing he wanted was to be mistaken for a pervert. Sheila, still in shock, snapped back to reality at his words. Her face turned crimson as she glanced down, realizing just how much of her was exposed. Mortified, she yanked the coat from him, wrapped it around herself, and quickly pulled down her gown. "Found this. We wouldn't want the corpse keeping a souvenir of your... would we?" Just as she was done, Robin’s voice came again, and when she turned, he was holding something out to her, his expression oddly stiff. Sheila’s eyes widened in horror. It was her ripped underwear! Damnit! Her cheeks flushed an even deeper shade of red. She snatched it from his hand and hid it behind her, too embarrassed to even look at him. Robin found

Robin’s lips twitched slightly. The intruder had just been speaking to Sheila, and now weapons were pointed at him. How did things escalate so fast? Sheila was just as stunned. Her voice rang with authority. "Drop your weapons! He’s my savior! If not for him, those thugs would have raped and killed me! He took them down." She turned to Robin, her expression apologetic. "I’m so sorry. These are my family’s bodyguards. They didn’t know who you are." Robin shrugged indifferently. Meanwhile, the bodyguards exchanged glances, their gazes shifting to the corpses on the ground. They recognized the emblem on the thugs’ shirts. These thugs were members of the Abyssal Dominion. They served the Underground Kingpin—a force to be reckoned with. Even as elites, none of them could claim to take on all these thugs alone. Yet, this ordinary-looking guy, who was completely unknown to them, had somehow managed to kill them all? Still, if Miss Dunn said so, even though they feel she might have exa

Jace smirked.Robin nodded, his expression turning serious as he studied Jace intently.Barely a minute passed before he looked away, his eyes flickering with something unreadable. "Shut up!" she shouted. "You’re the foolish one! So what if he didn’t go to college? Is school the only place to learn medicine? "Aren't there physicians here who never stepped foot in a college or university yet are the best of the best?"Jace chuckled. "No need to insult me—your words don’t faze me." His lips curled into a smirk. "You speak of those physicians, but they were all trained by master physicians. In modern terms, it could be said they were homeschooled. Does your ‘savior’ have one? Should we confirm?" He shot Robin a mocking glance. "Punk, do you have a master? Don’t even think about lying!"All eyes turned to Robin. Even Sheila and her parents

“What?”The bodyguards and security guards froze in horror, their faces draining of color as if their very souls were being siphoned away.Fired? Just like that? They had served the Dunn family for years, dedicating their loyalty and skills. Never in their wildest dreams did they think Sheila would dismiss them over Robin, of all people. They had just ridiculed, mocked, and told him to get lost. Was it really worth being fired for? Didn't their service all these years mean anything to her? But, looking at her expression, the fury burning in her eyes, they realized she wasn't joking. Their legs gave out, and they dropped to their knees."Miss Dunn, please have mercy!""We were wrong! We sincerely apologize! Please don’t fire us!""Forgive us, please!"Their desperate voices filled the air as they pleaded at the top of their lungs. • Chapter 24

The two bodyguards stiffened at Robin’s words, a flicker of unease crossing their faces. If Sheila found out they had turned him away, it could spell trouble—serious trouble. For a brief moment, doubt crept in. Was it worth the risk? But almost as quickly as it came, they shoved the hesitation aside. Today was an important day. Miss Dunn had bigger things to deal with. She wouldn’t waste her time questioning them about some nobody at the gate. Reassuring themselves with that thought, they steeled their expressions, their grips tightening into fists. Their gazes darkened as they glowered at Robin. “Get lost!” they barked in unison, their voices ringing through the air, as if the sheer force of their words could drive him away. Robin chuckled darkly. Since they wanted to play this game, he would see it through to the end. He’d like to see who got the last laugh. Shrugging, he said coolly, “I hope you don’t regret this.” “Hmph!” The bodyguards scoffed. "We never regret anything!

The bodyguards were stunned to hear that someone was brazen enough to impersonate Miss Dunn’s savior. The Dunn family was part of the Tremendous Five—the wealthiest and most powerful families in the county. Who in their right mind would dig their own grave like this? Amused by the sheer audacity of the claim, they turned to get a look at the fool daring to pull such a stunt. But the moment their eyes landed on Robin, their expressions froze. Recognition struck them like lightning. Even though it had been dark last night, they had been among the closest to him. There was no mistake—he was the one. However, their shock quickly morphed into something else. Disdain flickered in their gazes, a cold gleam settling in their eyes. One of them curled his lips into a mocking smile. “Mr. Savior, didn’t you say last night that you wanted no reward? What brings you here today? Changed your mind? Did your so-called honor vanish overnight?” “Heh.” The other let out a scornful chuckl

A dark cloud hovered over Robin’s eyes. He had half a mind to smack their arrogant heads together, but in the end, he let the urge pass. These snobbish nobodies weren’t worth his time. The incident last night had spread like wildfire within the Dunn household—every family member, even the maids, knew about the mysterious man who had saved Miss Dunn. Without him, she would have been violated and killed. She owed him her life. Could this guy be him? Their muscles tensed at the thought. If he was really the one and Miss Dunn found out they had been chastising and ridiculing him and even asked him to get lost, they’d be in deep trouble. But as they took another look at
