Jace, the physicians, and the direct relatives, including Jace’s father, gawked at Robin before bursting into laughter.

"You didn’t even go to college, let alone medical school, and you’re claiming to be a doctor?" One of the relatives mocked. "Forget being a doctor—you should be a comedian! But please, don’t make me laugh any harder than this. Hahaha."

"Haha." Jace let out a mocking laugh, adding, "Tell me—how exactly did you learn medicine? Divine enlightenment? Or were you born with a stethoscope in hand?"

He turned to Sheila with a sneer. "Is this really the person you claim saved you? This fool? It’s obvious you’re lying!"

Sheila’s face turned red with rage. "Shut up!" she shouted. "You’re the foolish one! So what if he didn’t go to college? Is school the only place to learn medicine?

"Aren't there physicians here who never stepped foot in a college or university yet are the best of the best?"

Jace chuckled. "No need to insult me—your words don’t faze me." His lips curle

"Robin, please forget this! You are my guest and savior, no one in this room can force you to do anything!" Sheila whispered urgently, tugging at Robin's sleeve. She was worried and uneasy–she had no idea if Robin truly had the medical skills he claimed, and she couldn’t bear to see him humiliated."Hahaha." Jace let out a mocking laugh. "Hiding behind a woman now, punk? Are you even a man?" He sneered.Robin scoffed. “Who said anything about hiding?” He turned to Sheila with a calm, reassuring smile. “Don’t worry,” he said lightly, as if this were no more serious than brushing lint off a jacket. “I never back down from a challenge.”Then his eyes snapped back to Jace, sharp as blades. “You ready?”“Born ready,” Jace smirked, puffing out his chest.Robin’s expression shifted in an instant. Calm. Focused. His gaze scanned Jace with chilling precision. Not even a full minute passed before Robin looked away, his expression unreadable—but there was the slightest twitch at the corner of hi

A flicker of fear crossed Jace’s face, but he masked it quickly. He straightened and smirked. “Alright then,” he said confidently, turning to the physicians. “Anyone willing to confirm his diagnosis?” He was certain no one would dare. After all, they wouldn’t risk offending him—he was a Dunn! This was why he was so confident!Sure enough, at his question, the physicians immediate moved towards Mr. Dunn Sr."I'm busy!""I'm busy!""I'm busy!"One by one, they waved Jace off, pretending to examine the elderly man. But anyone paying close attention would see they were merely going through the motions—acting occupied while doing absolutely nothing. A physical display of the phrase "busy doing nothing."Jace smirked inwardly, satisfied. He turned back to Robin, feigning innocence. "As you can see, they’re all preoccupied. Or perhaps they simply don’t see the need to waste time on such nonsense because they already know there is nothing wrong with me. Since that is the case, it means you l

Everyone's heads turned toward the source of the voice. The door swung open, and four figures stepped inside—three young men and a middle-aged man. To everyone's surprise, one of the young men was Jace. He had changed into fresh clothes—a new pair of pants and a crisp shirt. His face bore a calm, detached expression, as if the humiliating scene from earlier had nothing to do with him. If one didn't know better, they might have thought he was arriving for the first time today. But the still-wet stains on the floor were undeniable proof that the humiliation had indeed taken place. People exchanged glances, their expressions filled with disbelief. How thick-skinned!But in the end, no one said a word.Robin frowned slightly—not because of Jace, but because he recognized one of the other young men. It was none other than Marcus. What was he doing here?Marcus also spotted Robin. His eyes widened in shock. Robin? He wiped his eyes to make sure he wasn’t seeing things. But no, it was real

Without giving the Medical Sage a chance to respond, Hannibal turned to Drake, his tone firm and confident. "Mr. Dunn, that so-called miraculous herb will only do more harm than good to your father. "I have just the perfect solution—a pill created by my master, worth 100 million. But for Mr. Aldridge’s sake, I’m willing to administer it to your father free of charge!" A pill worth 100 million? The room fell into stunned silence. What kind of pill could cost that much? And more shockingly, Hannibal was willing to waive the f*e for Sebastian. All eyes instinctively shifted to Sebastian. Sebastian basked in the attention, his chest puffing with pride. He subtly glanced at Sheila, but his expression faded slightly as he saw she was expressionless as if none of this concerned her. But almost immediately, he recovered. Sheila, you can keep playing hard to get for now, but I'm confident that by the end of today, you'll have fallen for me! Drake shook his head. "No, I can’t accept it fo

Mr. Dunn Sr was taken aback when Sheila suddenly threw herself into his embrace, sobbing uncontrollably. Still, he instinctively wrapped his arms around her, gently patting her back in comfort. His gaze then drifted to Drake, who stood frozen, eyes glossy as if he, too, was on the brink of tears. Drake had never been one to cry. This made Mr. Dunn Sr even more shocked and confused. Had his son and granddaughter lost their minds? What the hell had happened? “Dad, you’ve been ill for more than five years,” noticing his father's confusion, Drake said, stepping forward. His voice trembled with emotion, yet was full of relief. “We did everything we could to help you get better—and now, you finally are.” Mr. Dunn Sr’s eyes widened in disbelief. Sick? For more than five years? Why couldn’t he remember anything? Not even when the illness started. But as he sat there, he could feel it—his body had definitely endured a lot. His gaze dropped to Sheila, his most beloved grand

Hannibal's head rolled across the floor, stopping neatly at Sebastian’s feet. His wide, unblinking eyes were frozen in shock, disbelief, and pure horror. Perhaps, even in death, he couldn't believe that this journey today would claim his life. Maybe, if he'd known, he would have never come! A trail of blood followed the path his head had drawn—some of it mixing with the urine from earlier. Silence fell over the room like a heavy curtain. No one moved. Even Sebastian stood rooted in place, unable to tear his eyes away from the empty spot where Hannibal had stood seconds ago. He didn’t dare look down at the head lying right at his feet. A minute passed, eerily quiet. Then— “Graahhh!” Mr. Dunn Sr let out another deep, feral growl, snapping everyone out of their daze. Instantly, the room erupted in chaos. Panic-stricken, people scrambled away, pushing and shoving, desperate to get as far away as possible. Some even darted for the door without looking back, while othe

The medical sage's face darkened. First, it was Hannibal, and now this kid still wet behind his ears? He was the renowned Medical sage—his presence alone was rare. The Dunns hadn't even had the means to invite him; he came only because of his friendship with Nigel. What gave these brats the guts to keep insulting him?He turned sharply toward Robin, his gaze piercing. “Kid, I’ll admit you’ve got some talent. But you're still just a budding sprout—nowhere near the level to challenge me!”Robin let out a wry smile at the medical sage's outburst. He couldn't understand why people like them always thought that someone having a opinion different to theirs was a challenge to their authority. With a slight shake of his head, he replied calmly, “You are the renowned Medical sage, sir. I wouldn’t dream of challenging your authority. But I also can’t stand by and let a decision be made that would make things worse."The room went dead silent for a beat, everyone staring at Robin like he’d grown

“Dad!” Sheila, who had been weeping beside Mr. Dunn Sr., raised her tear-streaked face and glared at him. "Why are you being so rude to Robin? He is my savior!"Drake frowned slightly. In the face of his daughter, he was more like a dad than the Patriarch of the family. He said softly but firmly, "I know he is your savior, but he has to keep shut if he wants to stay, else he should leave. Sorry, sweetheart.""Alright then, I’ll take my leave," Robin said coolly, his tone unfazed. "Goodbye, Sheila." He gave her a faint smile, then turned on his heels and strode toward the exit.He couldn't stand around watching them sink deeper into their mistake. He’d said his piece—for Sheila's sake, and for his own conscience. That was enough. There was no point in staying any longer."Robin, wait! Don’t go!" Sheila shouted, rising to her feet. She darted after him.“Sheila, get back here!” Drake shouted after her, his voice stern. But she didn’t even flinch. "Robin, please wait!" she yelled again,

He didn’t wait for the chauffeur to open the door—he yanked it open himself and jumped in."Take me to Eryndor Vex! Now!" he ordered sharply. The chauffeur gave a curt nod. "Yes, sire." He slammed the gas pedal, and the engine growled as the car sped off.On the outskirts of the county, tucked away from the eyes of even the most watchful officials, sat Eryndor Vex’s hidden lair.On the surface, it looked like a ruined homestead—just a tilted antenna poking out of the earth. Only up close could one spot the small, unassuming door nestled in the dirt.Roman’s chauffeur brought the vehicle to a smooth stop just before the antenna.Without even waiting for him to turn off the car, Roman jumped out and strode to the door. He knocked once. Then twice. Then a third time. Finally, he pushed the door ope

Inside a luxurious private suite within one of the county's most elite five-star restaurants, two figures sat across each other. One of them was a young man, around Robin’s age, radiating an unmistakable air of nobility. Just a single glance at him was enough to tell he came from a powerful family. That was Roman Hutton—the heir to the Hutton family, one of the Tremendous Five. Seated across from him was a middle-aged man whose presence felt like a sharp blade drawn in silence. His aura was suffocating, violent, commanding, and unmistakably dangerous. This was none other than Shawn, the infamous Underground Kingpin! The atmosphere in the room was heavy, laced with tension as the two men continued their intense discussion. "What did you just say? The mission failed?" Roman gasped in shock, his eyes widening with disbelief. He stared at the furious man before him, then suddenly laughed aloud. "Mr. Morningstar, you nearly had me there. I almost thought you were serious. Hahaha."

The physicians froze, exchanging uncertain glances. Their eyes flicked between Robin, Sheila, and finally, Drake—who remained silent. His lack of protest only confirmed his agreement with his daughter. Their expressions darkened with defeat. Shoulders slumped and pride shattered, they trudged away from Robin. If only they had known how this would play out—if only they’d realized he was a true medical genius—they never would’ve scorned him. But now? It was far too late for regrets. "Cough." At that moment, Mr. Dunn Sr. suddenly coughed. At a speed visible to the naked eyes, his complexion brightened, his breathing evened out, and the weariness on his face faded like mist under sunlight. And then, slowly… he opened his eyes. He was awake! It worked! The Dunns stared in stunned silence, and then—elation. Their eyes turned to Robin, wide with admiration and disbelief. He was the true Medical Sage! "Grandpa!" "Father!" Sheila and Drake rushed to Mr. Dunn Sr.'s side. Shei

  • Chapter 41

A heavy silence blanketed the room, thick and unmoving. Even the air felt frozen in time. The Medical Sage—one of the most respected and celebrated figures in all of Draconia—was kneeling before a young man, begging to become his disciple. It was almost laughable. Had the world suddenly gone mad? Marcus, still holding his stinging cheek, gaped in disbelief. This was the legendary Medical Sage! A man who had made his mark in the medical world. How could someone like him grovel at the feet of a nobody like Robin and beg him to take him as his disciple? How could Robin compare to him? That punk didn’t even deserve to be in the same room with him! Was the old man insane? Delirious? Sebastian and Jace were equally stunned, their expressions twisted as they tried to make sense of what they were witnessing. The only person who looked even remotely pleased was Sheila, standing calmly behind Robin. A smile tugged at the corners of her lips. Shocked as she was, she couldn’

The noise was strange, like something squirming—or fighting—inside him. Sweat began pouring from his body. Not drops—streams. The beads were thick and fast, like he was drenched in minutes. The rumbling continued, rising and falling. It lasted for nearly two minutes.Then—Silence.Complete and total.Robin stopped whistling and calmly wiped the light sheen of sweat from his brow. The mother worm had been unusually tenacious—likely due to the strength of the sorcerer who had planted it. But no matter how powerful, it had faced against Robin, so it was bound to be defeated. And dead it was, scattered into tiny fragments that Mr. Dunn Sr. would expel naturally in the coming days. With a simple wave, the golden needles zipped out of the old man’s body and returned swiftly to Robin’s hand. He placed them carefully back into their case before facing Drake. "Your father’s fine now,” he said coolly. “But I’ll return in three days for a follow-up.”He paused, letting the air settle before

"What?" Everyone froze, horror etched across their faces. Worms? Again? How could there still be so many inside Mr. Dunn Sr.? Was he even human anymore? The sheer sight was terrifying and confusing all at once. Then— "Ugh!" "Blehh!" Just like before, several people couldn’t hold back. They turned to the sides, vomiting on the marble floors. Instantly, the room was consumed by an unbearable stench. There was already the stench of urine, blood, and the earlier vomit—and now, this. Not to mention the oozing corpse in the corner. All of it mixed into one suffocating, nauseating cloud that made breathing nearly impossible. Even with the curtains drawn open and fresh air rushing in from outside, it did nothing to help. If anything, the breeze only spread the foul odor more efficiently, carrying it into every corner of the room. "Get rid of that corpse!" Drake ordered. “Yes, My Lord,” the guard replied. He strode over to Hannibal's decapitated corpse and slung it effortlessl

Marcus held his aching cheek, stunned and baffled as he watched Sheila disappear through the doors. His mind reeled. What was it about Robin? He was nothing more than a nobody, a complete loser, why did these influential women think otherwise?! Why did they see him so differently? He couldn't understand it! What charm was Robin using to deceive them? First it was Katherine, and now Sheila! Two powerful women! A bitter glint flickered in his eyes—he couldn’t stand it. That envy ate at him like acid. Right beside him, Sebastian looked even worse. His whole face was flushed with rage, and his eyes gleamed with an unmistakable killing intent. Robin couldn't be let to continue to live! Once this was over, he would make sure he was erased for good! Outside, Sheila didn’t need to search far. Just as she stepped beyond the courtyard, her eyes landed on a familiar figure leaning against a tree—Robin. He hadn’t left.Even though the herb had already been used and he had every reaso
