With a smile on his lips, Sebastian began to feed Dinda again. Although she still winced a little because of the bland taste of the porridge, Dinda still obeyed and tried to finish her breakfast. While feeding Dinda, Sebastian spoke softly to her, telling funny stories about the things they did together when Dinda was younger.
"Dad, do you still remember when we went to the park, and Dinda ran around with that big dog?" Dinda asked, suddenly remembering an old incident that made her eyes shine.
Sebastian chuckled. "Remember. That dog likes Dinda, he didn't stop chasing you until we had to climb onto the park bench," he said, still remembering how funny and adorable that moment was.
"Dad also climbed onto the bench, right?" Dinda giggled, remembering her Dad's surprised expression at that time.
"Yeah, Dad was scared too at that time," Sebastian admitted jokingly, making Dinda laugh even more. They continued to laugh and share stories, enjoying every moment of their warm togetherness.
After a few mouthfuls of porridge, Dinda finally gave in. "That's enough, Dad. I'll finish it later, as long as Dad really buys me pizza!"
Sebastian looked at the bowl of porridge that still had some left but was more than half gone. He smiled and nodded. "Okay, deal. Pizza for Dinda after you get out of the hospital."
Dinda smiled widely and held out her pinky finger once more. "Dad has to promise again!"
Sebastian held out his pinky finger, sealing their promise for the third time. "Dad promises," he said softly, looking at Dinda lovingly.
Sebastian knew that even though the challenges outside the hospital room were tough, as long as he had Dinda and his love for his sweet daughter, he would always have a reason to keep fighting. And the promise they made that day was a reminder that his love for Dinda would always be his greatest strength.
Sebastian had just finished feeding Dinda when the phone in his pocket vibrated, indicating an incoming call. He glanced at the screen and moved from Dinda's side to the window to answer the call. His voice changed to a more serious one as he began to speak, his voice slightly muffled so as not to disturb Dinda who was busy watching cartoons on the small TV in the hospital room.
While Sebastian was talking near the window, Sara entered the room. Her eyes immediately caught the phone that Sebastian had placed earlier in the corner of the room, which was still recording. Sara's face hardened seeing that. She walked quickly towards the phone, her eyes full of anger and annoyance. With a quick movement, she grabbed the phone, stared at it for a moment, and then seemed to intend to throw it to the floor.
Sebastian, who noticed Sara's quick movement from the corner of his eye, immediately ended the call quickly and approached with quick steps. Just before Sara could throw the phone, Sebastian caught her wrist. His voice was tense, almost angry, though he tried hard to keep it in.
"Sara, what are you doing?" he asked in a low but warning tone. His hand on Sara's wrist was still tight, though he tried hard to remain calm.
Sara stared at him with eyes burning with anger. "Why are you recording Dinda like this? Do you want to use it as a weapon against me in court? Do you think you can win custody just by recording some sweet moments with Dinda?"
Sebastian was silent for a moment, feeling his anger boiling, but he didn't want to explode in front of Dinda, who was still in the room. His breath was heavy as he held back his emotions.
"I recorded this for Dinda. Not for you, not for the court, and not for anything other than our togetherness." He released his grip from Sara's wrist slowly, although his eyes were still full of firmness. "Don't touch my phone again, Sara."
Sara stared at Sebastian sharply, pain and anger visible in her eyes. She felt defeated and felt her position was threatened, especially with Sebastian's presence in the hospital that should only be a place for her and Dinda. Sara didn't want to let Sebastian take away the happiness she had built, even though she knew that all of this was rooted in her own betrayal.
"Sebastian, you don't know anything about how it feels to take care of Dinda alone. Don't think you can come anytime and act like you're a hero," Sara said in a low tone, her voice biting.
Sebastian stared at her deeply, holding himself back from exploding in front of Dinda. "I will always be there for Dinda, Sara, whether you like it or not. And I will fight for her custody. This is not about you or me anymore. This is about Dinda, about her happiness."
Sara snorted, then looked at Sebastian with hatred. She glanced at Dinda who looked shocked by their fight. With a sly smile, Sara began to cry silently but she made sure Dinda saw it. Sebastian took a deep breath, calming himself down.
Seeing Dinda who looked confused at him from the bed, Sebastian felt his heart calm down a little. "Daddy will always be there for you, honey," he whispered softly, more to himself than to Dinda.
"No! I don't want to be with Daddy. Daddy has made Mommy cry! Daddy is mean!"
Sebastian was stunned to hear Dinda's sharp and hurtful words. Her heart felt crushed when she heard her daughter reject her presence. The deep pain pushed her to fight the tears that were about to well up in her eyes. Dinda, who was still a child, should not feel this pressure, the pressure between love and hatred, between her and Sara.
"No! I don't want to be with Daddy. Daddy has made Mommy cry! Daddy is mean!" Dinda shouted, her voice shaking with emotion. Trembling, she stared at Sebastian as if he were her most hated enemy.
"Honey, it's not like that. Mommy isn't crying because of me. Mommy... Mommy just feels tired," Sebastian tried to explain, but his voice stopped when Dinda looked at him with an unwilling gaze. Trembling, Dinda hugged Sara even tighter, as if to protect herself from Sebastian.
Sara, seeing the opportunity, immediately took over. She hugged Dinda lovingly, pretending to be calm in front of her daughter. "Dinda, Mommy isn't crying. You know Mommy loves you, right? Daddy just wants to ruin everything. He doesn't care about us," she said softly, but in a tone that clearly conveyed the message that Sebastian was a dangerous figure. Dinda nodded, wiping away the tears on her still-damp cheeks. "Yes, Mommy. I don't want to see Daddy anymore! Get out of here!" Dinda shouted, her voice getting higher and full of hatred.Sebastian felt an unbearable pain in his chest. He wanted to step closer, but he felt as if an invisible wall was blocking him. "Dinda, please... listen to Daddy. I love you. Daddy doesn't want to make Mommy or you feel sad. Daddy just wants us to be together again. We can play and have fun," he said, his voice full of hope, even though deep inside he fel
“What do you mean? What cyst?” Sebastian blinked, staring at the small screen on his phone, feeling his heart beat faster. The emergency information he had just received made him pause in front of his door, but then he ran to the car without thinking. He knew that something serious had happened to his wife. He had to get to the hospital immediately. His voice was hoarse as he spoke to the hospital operator, trying to get a grasp of the situation as quickly as possible. “This is a complication… You need to come to the hospital immediately and sign the consent form for surgery as soon as possible.” The voice was flat but urgent. Sebastian pressed the accelerator, his eyes scanning the road anxiously. His breathing was erratic, his mind spinning with various bad scenarios. His heart was filled with overwhelming fear—his wife, Sara, had always seemed healthy. They had just celebrated their wedding anniversary last week, and there had been no sign of anything like this happening. She
“Sebastian, listen to me. You need to know something.” Sara’s voice was firm, but Sebastian could feel the tension behind it. They had been in this uncomfortable situation for a few minutes, but Sara’s next words would change everything. “What else do you want to explain?” Sebastian asked in a flat tone, trying to remain calm even as his anger boiled beneath the surface. He didn’t know what else Sara could say after the affair was revealed. Sara took a deep breath, then in a bold tone, said, “I may be married to you, but that doesn’t mean I lose my sexual freedom. Just because we’re married doesn’t mean I’m completely yours.” Sebastian was silent. His eyes stared at Sara sharply, waiting for the continuation of her sentence, but in his heart, he could hardly believe what he had just heard. “As a woman, I have the right to explore my own desires. I don’t think this is wrong. We haven’t been together for a long time, so I—I have the right to find my happiness elsewhere!” Sara conti
"Who is Rich Daddy, Dinda? I am your only father!" Sebastian's voice trembled, trying to hold back his burning anger. But the words came out louder than he intended. Dinda frowned, looking at her father with a scared look. She took a few steps back, slowly releasing her grip on Sebastian. “No, Dad! Rich Daddy is good. He often gives me toys!” Dinda shouted, her voice getting higher. Hearing those words made Sebastian's chest feel tight as if something was strangling him. How could Sara bring another man into their daughter's life and make Dinda believe that there was another father figure who replaced him? Sebastian knelt in front of Dinda, trying to calm his anger and speak more softly. "Dinda, only me is your father. No one else. Whoever the man your mother brought here is, he is not your father." However, his words did not reach Dinda. His eyes began to fill with tears, and he began to tremble in fear. "Why is you angry? I don't like you angry!" Suddenly Dinda pushed Se
“Ah, Sebastian. You remember, right? This land is under my name. You gave it to me as our wedding gift. Even the house you built with great difficulty, it’s all mine now.” Sebastian fell silent, his heart felt like it was being squeezed. That house was where he had placed his hopes and dreams, every stone he had stacked was a manifestation of his love and dedication to their little family. He used to think that the house would be a place where they would grow old together, watching their children grow up. But now, reality hit him. Sara not only claimed the property but also lived there with another man—her lover. The thought of that stranger sitting in the living room, walking on the floor that Sebastian had once built with his own hands, was something he could barely accept. Sebastian’s lawyer coughed softly, drawing his attention back to the pile of documents in front of him. “You need to sign this as soon as possible. The longer we delay, the worse the situation will be. Especia
"Dinda, honey, let's go back to sleep," Sebastian said softly, holding back the emotional turmoil that was still swirling inside him. He looked at his daughter lovingly, realizing that this argument was not something a child should hear. "Mommy and daddy are just talking, there's nothing for you to worry about." Dinda stood in the doorway, confused. Her eyes moved from Sebastian to Sara, then to the lawyer sitting quietly beside her mother. Her expression did not show fear, but confusion, as if she was trying to understand this complicated situation. Sebastian's heart sank when he saw his daughter's innocent face. He opened his arms, wanting to hug Dinda, trying to give her the sense of security she needed. "Come here, honey. Daddy's here." However, Dinda did not immediately run into his arms. Instead, she looked at her mother, then turned to the lawyer who was sitting calmly, not the least bit disturbed by the tension in the room. Dinda hesitated for a moment, then what happe
Hearing all this, Sebastian almost fainted. The emotions burning in his heart could not be contained. In an instant, anger took over him. With a swift movement, he knocked the lawyer to the ground and grabbed his neck tightly. “You are indeed a cowardly man, a traitor! Insolent!” He could not understand that the person in front of him was a traitor, a person who had messed up everything he had. However, as the situation was getting out of control and the atmosphere in the room was tense, his wife ran over, quickly breaking a vase on Sebastian’s head. The sound of the broken ceramics made him jump, as if making him realize the bitter reality that he had to face. Sebastian could not believe what was happening. In an instant, he was arrested by the police. His wife, who was now standing next to the lawyer with a straight face, claimed that he had intentionally hurt someone. Even their little daughter, Dinda, who had always been considered his hope and happiness, testified against
“Yes, but we need to talk quickly. Things are getting worse out there. If there’s anything you need to say, now is the time,” the old man replied, glancing around at the policeman who stood there in fear. The chief of police was watching the situation anxiously, and he certainly knew how scary it was to get on the wrong side of the respected family’s caretaker. He fought to keep his cool, but his face showed how worried he was about what was going to happen next. Sebastian swallowed, trying to gather his words. “There’s a lot going on and I can’t explain it all right now, but I’m innocent. My wife… she set this up. I’m the victim of all this.” The chief of the family’s caretaker nodded, understanding the complex situation Sebastian was in. “I believe what you say. However, it’s important to remember that we need evidence and a strategy to turn this around.” As the argument continued, the policeman asserted himself and tried to press for an explanation. “Sir, we were just doing
