Chapter 8 - The Emgrand Hotel

30 minutes later.

Emgrand Hotel.

This was one of the finest five-star hotels in Waterside.

For a standard room alone, the cost for a single night's stay was ten thousand dollars!

Outside the entrance in the hotel lobby, a young man in his mid-twenties wearing a white shirt and a light coat hurriedly made his way inside.

As he passed through the doors, he rushed to the front desk.

"Sir, would you like to book a room?"

A beautiful young woman in a gray uniform rose from her seat.

As she spoke, a sweet smile graced her lovely lips, making her even more enchanting.

"No! I'm here to see someone named Zachary! Could you tell me where his room is?"

The girl was taken aback for a moment before she asked,

"Do you have an appointment?"

"No!" Henry shook his head gently.

The girl's face showed a hint of regret.

"I'm sorry, sir! According to our hotel policy, we are not allowed to give out a guest's room number without their prior permission."

Henry quickly reached into his pocket for his cell phone.

After dialing Darcie's number, the phone rang.

After several beeps, however, there was no answer from the other end.

"Damn!"

Henry addressed the receptionist again.

"I've tried calling several times, but there's no answer. Can you call his room?"

The girl looked pensive for a moment before saying,

"Sir, you can wait in the lounge while I try to reach him."

"Alright, thank you."

As Henry made his way to the empty sofa, with no other visitors in sight, the receptionist dialed a number on her phone.

Two minutes later, a security guard in a distinctive uniform entered the lobby through the front door.

"Excuse me, are you looking for Mr. Zachary?"

"Yes, I am."

Henry rose from his seat, thinking that the guard would escort him to Zachary's location.

"You'd better leave this place! We don't tolerate troublemakers in our hotel! Come on!"

The guard stood beside Henry and raised a hand in a gesture for him to leave.

"I don't want to cause any trouble. I just want to meet Zachary!"

"Sir, since you insist, let me be clear. You insist on meeting Mr. Zachary without an appointment! If I were foolish, I might not suspect you at all! But I've been in this business for almost ten years, and I know very well that well-dressed people like you can often be criminals in disguise! So I'm warning you once again. Please leave immediately, or I won't hesitate to get rough!"

On the one hand, Henry's inner voice urged him to leave.

After all, he was a professor, and making a scene was not something he wanted to do. But on the other hand, his instincts were against leaving.

He couldn't stand by and watch his uncle being mistreated by Zachary.

If it were in the past, when he had no power, maybe all he could do was make peace with Zachary and hope never to meet him again.

But this time, he had the power of the gods. It was his responsibility not to let anyone act recklessly.

Even if that person wasn't Zachary and had no connection to Henry, as long as he had the ability to act, he would act.

If Henry allowed it, there was a possibility that Zachary would cross even more lines in the future.

Henry had to make a choice. He had to punish him.

Taking a deep breath, Henry shook his head.

"I didn't come here to cause trouble, and I'm not going to leave!"

"Young man, if you insist, don't blame me!"

The guard grabbed Henry's arm with both hands and pulled him roughly.

He was a former bodybuilder, and he put all his strength into the pull.

He thought it would be enough to knock the slender young man to the ground and drag him out like a wild animal.

His patience had run out. He just wanted to throw the young man out into the street.

But an amazing thing happened.

No matter how hard the guard pulled on Henry's body, his efforts were in vain.

Not only did Henry not fall, he didn't even move an inch.

"What the hell is this?"

After several attempts, cold sweat began to form on the guard's forehead.

Up until now, not to mention facing an ordinary criminal, with his self-defense skills, he could even take down three burly criminals at once single-handedly.

However, when facing a slender figure like Henry, he felt like a five-year-old trying to topple an adult.

"Is that all your strength, or have you not eaten yet?"

Henry taunted with a mocking smile on his lips.

Before he could finish his words, the guard's body was sent flying backwards for ten meters and crashed to the ground.

The sound of the fall was loud and would have been painful if it hadn't resulted in broken bones.

But before the girl could dial a single digit, Henry was standing in front of her.

"I asked you to contact Zachary earlier. Instead of calling him, you called Security! Now I'm asking you again, please give me his room number!"
