Diana looked the bill in disbelief, temporarily stunned as she remain seated at the table. The price of the meal was so high, far more than what she could afford. Meeky had just scammed her too, her heart fell as the realization hit her.

She looked at the waitress again, her eyes pleading. “Please, there must be something we can do. I do not have this kind of money. I didn’t know he would leave me with the bill.” Diana said, her voice trembling as she spoke.

The waitress’s expression didn’t change, she was growing impatient. “I am sorry, but someone has to pay for this meal. If you can not pay, I will have to call security.”

Diana found herself feeling desperate. She checked through her purse, hoping to finding some substantial amount of money but all she found were a few crumpled bills and loose change. It would never be enough to cover the expensive dinner. With no options, she brought out her phone, hoping to see who she can call for assistance to pay for the meal.
