"Elisha?"

Matthias laughed dryly at the mention of Elisha's name.

"What made you think that I am still interested in things regarding Elisha?"

Slowly, the confidence within Aren faded.

It looks like Matthias really doesn't give a damn about Elisha judging from the way he just brushed off the topic nonchalantly.

But Aren tried pushing Matthias again.

"Isn't she the woman who died—"

"Stop your bullshitting," Matthias interrupted Aren. "If you don't have anything more to say, you can come down and go back to your father now."

Despite that, Aren's resolve to come with Matthias did not break.

"Then, I have no choice but to show my competence," Aren declared. "You see, I am good at almost everything I do. Surely you will find me helpful in your next plans," he insisted to Matthias, making the latter feel burdened by his sincerity.

"Fine. Let me think about it," Matthias conceded.

When Aren went out of his car after a few more requests to leave him alone for now, Matthias turned his phone
