“So, it failed?”

Camilla opened the canned soft drinks she’s holding and poured it into a glass.

“Well, I never expected Harold Owen to succeed at all. If only the great master did not die abruptly, there would be no Mirella that could go against our plans. On second thought, it’s also hard to face off with that giant–I mean, the great master.”

The butler, who’s been listening to all of Camilla’s rants and thoughts, turned off the lights and closed the fridge.

Then he walked to Camilla and pulled the woman by her waist.

“But since I did what you told me, it's only correct for me to get my reward,” the butler told Camilla before he kissed Camilla’s neck, down to the angle of her shoulders, putting the hair strands covering part of her face to the back of Camilla’s ear.

“Now, stop chugging down that carbonated drink like an expensive wine, we have a long night ahead of us…” he added as he pulled the middle-aged lady to her room.
