Rocket looked sullen. "At least I got the right one."

"You were right not to trust Echo."

Rocket felt bad but guilt wouldn't take him anywhere. At this point he didn't know what to do for Echo.

Lance raked his hair. "We're stuck here." He fanned himself speedily at the heat in Prescott, Arizona.

Echo writhed while the medic took care of her. She was in her original blue form. No switching, no fake mannerisms, nothing.

Rocket shuddered.

Lance went over to clutch her hand.

"We need to back-up." Rocket went over to the next room. Where he had his goggles. He arranged his kit, he was so sick of Lambo moving his things all the time.

He arranged his bag. He remembered his experience as a child, when he fell into a ditch full of dirt. He breathed in and out trying to keep himself together.
