Chapter 24:
I rammed into the pod several times and sank down the pod crying. It was over 6 minutes now and he was unresponsive. "Zed!" I would never be the same again.

My chest was heavy and it had nothing to do with the suit. I stood up blindly and my legs trembled as I forged on. I met Oogie outside. She held her arm. "I apologize."

"I'm sorry Oogie, I didn't make it. I left him down there and I couldn't even break the stupid containment system. " I said and I gaped at the lights going on. I was flustered and angry with myself. I didn't notice the councilmen materializing and the team rushing in.

I sniffed. "I should have just taken you back to the ship like you asked."

"Forget about it." She murmured sadly. "It's finished."

I glared at her in doubt. "What are you saying?"

[ Rejuvenation process complete. ] I gaped at Zed stepping out. He looked different, a lot more older than I expected but that sickly complexion was gone. Zed wiped water off his eyes like he had just come out of a hibern
