CHAPTER NINE

Reynold sped across the distance as quickly as he could as he occupied himself with thoughts of whether he should go or not. However, his legs did not stop.

He jammed into her room and tried to barge into the toilet too but the door was tougher than he expected. He shook the door knob hurriedly trying to force it open but nothing happened.

"K.J! K.J!!"

He wasn't thinking right now–all that was in his mind was her safety. He didn't care what would happen after he trespassed all he just wanted to know was if she was okay.

But no matter how much he called, there wasn't a response. And then it dawned on him that she was in the bathroom. He didn't know what to do in this situation, what if she was doing something?

‘Perhaps I should just leave.”

"R...ey.”

Just when he thought that her weak voice called out to him.

He immediately began to panic and got more aggressive as he shook the door knob trying to force it open. Seeing that no matter how much he tried to force the knob it wouldn't open, Reynold stepped back and dashed forward, smashing a kick into the door and forcing it open in that instant.

Sprawling out before his eyes was Kayla on the floor, a white towel covered her breast and her body but there were still parts that were provocatively revealed, such as her thighs and a little bit of her hips.

Her skin was pristine and almost glowing, Reynold felt dehydrated and his heart began to beat faster than he could control.

He shook his head, annoyed at himself.

'Seriously guy, this is not the time for this kind of thought.'

He hurriedly bent down and lifted her carefully, making sure the towel did not fall off.

Meanwhile_

Someone was right in front of the window in a red sportscars with his binoculars.

Jay sighed.

"How did we get to this point?" He asked himself.

They had turned to leave but they were here again. Right when Kayla dropped a message, Lloyd had asked Jay to turn back and that was how they ended up being here again.

Jay shook his head. He pitied himself for being stuck with the goofiest and most jobless guy in the family. But that does not mean he didn't enjoy every moment with this same jobless guy.

"Ohhh!! He has her in his arms!” Lloyd screamed as he saw a clear visual of Kayla in Reynold's arms and as he slowly laid her on the bed.

He immediately retracted his eyes from the binoculars.

"Ah! Ah," He panted.

“What is wrong?" Jay asked, lifting his binoculars to look too but Lloyd hurriedly stopped him.

"Don't you dare! Don't you dare it!! Do you want to see my sister having sex with her husband?!" He yelled but belatedly kept his voice down.

"Oh my God! I'm sorry."

"It's okay," Lloyd said looking towards the direction of the window.

"I was worried that she might be pulling this plan because she is dead set on ruling the company but it seems I was wrong. I know she has never had a boyfriend, I've never even caught her with a man before. There's no way she would have sex with just anyone for the sake of becoming the CEO."

“Then... you think her marriage is not some contract?"

"No, that does not look to be the case. Kayla can never allow a man to be this intimate with her. If she's doing it right now, it must mean she loves this man." He said with a soft smile on his face.

Scratching his head he continued -

"Man, I thought she was deceiving everyone. I had looked forward to how I would enjoy disgracing her."

"Too bad," Jay added. He paused for a few seconds before asking. “Can we go now?"

It was cold outside, and he was already feeling sleepy.

"Yes, but this will not be the end. I must know who the hell that guy is. Who is he that he can make my sister fall head over heels for him." He clenched his fist as he spoke.

A while later they were out of the place and arrived at another sophisticated building—nestled in a secluded, primeval cove was a resort of some sort.

The exterior was a harmonious blend of natural beauty and tasteful architecture. Surrounded by lush tropical foliage, the resort was a single-story villa with a thatched roof that seemed to merge seamlessly with the verdant landscape.

Lloyd and Jay carefully walked the cobblestone path meandered through manicured gardens, leading to a wide, teakwood veranda that wrapped around the villa.

The veranda was furnished with plush outdoor seating, with two men relaxing in boxers briefs.

"Oh, you're back. I thought you said you were on your way before."

One of them said as he removed his shades and looked at Lloyd.

'Unshameful thing wearing shades in the thick of the night' Lloyd loathed at him inwardly.

"So? What is your report?”

"There is nothing to worry about. I saw them have sex. The marriage is not fake." Lloyd reported.

"Hey hey hey!" The other one shot up from where he was relaxing. "If they are having sex doesn't that mean Kay would be the first one out of all of us to give father a grandchild? What if he hands over the company to her?!”

Silence ensued for a couple of seconds then the one with the shades commanded -

"Keep watching over them and report whatever you find to us." He tapped Lloyd's shoulder as he spoke.

"You have been a very obedient brother these days. I am impressed. Don't worry, with this we will cover you up and not let father or first brother find out about the shitty things you've done."

"Thank you so much, brother."

He bowed his head with his teeth grinding against each other.

"And you Jayman! Take good care of my brother."

"Yes sir.” Jay bowed his head as he responded.

"Then, you lot excuse us." He wore his shades and returned to his seat signaling for both of them to go.
