The canteen was a large hall that was quite plain. It was filled with large tables that could seat four people on each side. There was no set of seats in the canteen meaning students were free to sit wherever they liked.
However, that doesn't mean the high-level wouldn't set their own rules.
Erix noticed that low levels sat next to other low levels while the high levels sat with the high levels.
School had barely resumed, yet the social norms appeared to have already been established, just like they had been in his old school.
Erix stood at the back of the last person in the queue.
However, while waiting patiently for his turn, a boy came late into the queue. He nonchalantly nudged Erix out of line, and smuggled himself into the line.
Erix was surprised by that abrupt push, and because he wasn't expecting something like that, he lost his footing and butt-kissed the floor.
If it wasn't for the 1 point he added to his agility, he would have smooched the ground entirely.
"Oh, sorry man. I didn't intend to push you har.." The boy paused to take a closer look at Erix, before exclaiming in shock.
"Holy moly, Erix! C'mon, I never knew it was you."
The smugness on his face showed how joyous he was after seeing Erix.
Erix was shocked when he heard his name.
He never imagined someone from his old world could show up nor let alone call him by his name.
But that wasn't the case there, whosoever was the person was no doubt Erix's bully. Erix had no friends so it possibly couldn't be one.
He decided to look up at the person's face to know what kind of shit he was into.
As soon as he saw the person's face, he had an awful flashback to his time in elementary school.
The person in front of him was by far one of the biggest bullies he had dealt with, and his name was Bones Blackstone.
Like the boy's name implied, he was very lanky and had a body full of bones.
His cheekbones were sulking out as though his flesh were imprinted on it.
His cranium could have been visible if it wasn't for the tiny flesh covering them.
Overall, the boy was bony like hell.
Bones was one of Erix's childhood bullies.
Although he wasn't very strong, he was strong enough to beat Erix.
Since Erix was considered weak, he was bullied every day.
Almost every day in their elementary school, Bones would use him as a punching human and extort a lot of money from him to vent out his frustration.
"I'm very sorry. I never knew it was you. Here, take my hand, let me help you," Bones said as he outstretch his hand toward Erix who was still on the ground.
Of course, Erix wasn't so stupid to think Bones would genuinely assist him, so he ignored his hand and stood up on his own.
"Didn't ya miss me? I bet those summers were boring without me, right?" Bones said while laughing.
Seeing Erix hadn't changed a bit from his weak nature, he couldn't help but laugh even harder.
He planned to only overtake the Lvl 1 students in the queue since he couldn't wait to go through the line the normal way as it was too long, but after seeing that the first Lvl 1 he overshadowed was Erix, he had a quick change of plan.
"Ummm… Bones, could we at least not do this here? There are staff watching?" Erix said while pointing at the two armed soldiers standing at the entrance of the canteen hall.
Thinking for a moment, Erix was surprised he managed to say those words without cracking in between.
In the past, he couldn't have been able to look up at Bone's face, talk more of arguing his words.
Bones was stunned as well. He never imagined Erix could be this bold.
"Ha, seems you have grown from the little Erix I once knew. Wow, that's good to know," Bones said with a smile.
'That's good because I won't have to hold back anymore.' Bones mentally rejoiced.
But Erix was thinking, 'I guess the system made me even bold.'
"Anyway, since you and I haven't seen each other for three years, you are 160 weeks overdue with your weekly payment. My family is poor and my uncle was admitted to the hospital. I need your help to pay for his living expenses. Since you're overdue 160 weeks, I will round it up to 200 weeks. That's the interest. So your payment is 2000 points," Bones said while grinning maliciously.
Bones was of course lying. If Erix could recall correctly, Bones was an orphan like him and had no relatives alive.
He was only trying to find an excuse to extort a stupid ignorant kid that was weaker than him to gain more money.
"Also, my moves have gotten rusty ever since we stopped training together. Meet me at the school gate by 5 tomorrow. Together we will enter the woods and train there. And don't forget to come along with the money." Bones said with an even spooky smile.
'Training' was just Bones' excuse for beating Erix shitless. Erix couldn't believe he fell for those lies in the past.
It wasn't like Bones was a good liar, instead, was the complete opposite.
The old Erix simply wasn't able to decline Bones' words or requests because of fear of being bullied more.
But after the system showed up, he become even bolder and less afraid.
Erix first looked at Bones's wristwatch to check his level.
[Lvl 2]
As his eyes were glued to Bones' wristwatch, pondering whether to accept the offer or not, a notification popped out in his eyes.
[Host's mind level has increased]

'Well, I'm not surprised. This must have something to do with the sudden boldness. I think so,' Erix thought.
However, his thoughts were interrupted by another message from his system.
[New quest has been received]
[Hint: An old friend has bullied and stolen from you in the past. Don't you think it's time to get back at him for all of his past deeds?]
[Quest: Avenge yourself by brutally killing Bones Blackstone]
[Time limit: Two days]
[Reward]
[????]
[Reward depends on the number of times he pleaded for mercy, shedded tears, and blisters of blood he gave out]
[Students killed: 0/1]
[Students tortured: 0/1]
Erix's eyes widened the moment he saw the quest on the green screen. He's never hurt a fly before, let alone a human. 'This must be a joke, right?' Erix said to himself. 'What do you mean I have to kill him? How on earth am I gonna do that?' He asked the system but it didn't answer him. The system didn't give him any further information besides the killing quest. To confirm he wasn't seeing things, he decided to review it again and it turned out to be the same. As much as he was dying to pay back Bones for all he did to him, he'd never thought of killing him. Erix was someone with no ability, unlike Bones who had a blink ability, so that made him worried. But if the system really instructed him to kill Bones, then it must have ways of enabling him with it, Erix thought. 'Since it's the system's quest, I must do my best to accomplish it?' He mentally resolved. "Are you afraid? Come on, it's just a little time together like buddies. Alright, could you at least pay me your w
"What are you talking about, bro? Yours is way cooler. Spatial ability is very much impressive and I think it goes very well with combats at far range," Rin said as Shota went forward to finish off the last member that was still held prone by Rin's gravity. After a moment, the entire group was down, and people were now talking about what had happened a while ago. "Let's go check how Erix is," Shota said with a scrunched-up face. He was pissed at his recklessness. He blamed himself for what happened to Erix. Perhaps after seeing him hang out with Erix, the high levels got angry and wanted to prey on the poor level one. One thing was making friends with a low level and the other was protecting him to avoid getting intimidated by the boisterous high levels. Many hierarchy hassles came along with being friends with low levels. Though he promised he would protect him, he couldn't be there at all times. "Sure, but we should grab some burger for him because I doubt he had eaten much
Hearing what Erix said, Shota and Rin were kind of sad. They didn't expect this type of serious answer. And if what he said was true, then Erix must have suffered terribly during his childhood. Shota was sadder than Rin. He blamed himself for what happened to Erix. If he hadn't let him alone all by himself to the canteen, those bullies couldn't have done what they did to him.Shota decided to be more mindful of Erix. He had already once said something that wasn't appropriate, and even though Erix was always saying that it was nothing and that it was normal, in reality, it wasn't. For high-level people, it was a normal thing and a daily occurrence, but for the low levels, it wasn't something amusing. "Anyways," Erix said. "Can we go now? We have less than ten minutes left before classes begin." Shota and Rin nodded, and they headed to their classes. Rin also proposed a burger to Erix but the latter refused. Burgers contained plenty of vegetables so he didn't want to throw up like h
It wasn't that he didn't know what was awaiting him. No, on the contrary, he knew, since he had experienced the whole thing again and again. But today was different. He wanted to stand up for himself. Also, he was on a mission now so he planned to defend himself with all that he had, whereas before, he just got a beating, and didn't do anything. He didn't have any will to change before since he thought the military could resolve everything, but when he saw that he had just drowned in illusions this entire time, he chose to change. And this change could happen now, after punching this guy. Though he still has the kill quest to carry out tomorrow. 'But wait a sec, what the fuck is wrong with you, Erix? A few hours ago, you accepted a goddamn murder quest and now you're preparing to go head-on with a level three who could just kill you with only a swift of his ability. Just how many crazy things are you gonna do? Damn it! I should have realized this earlier, the system has its ways o
Erix was shocked but he was also pleased. The skill seems to work by just thinking of it. He read through the information that was given to him and was pleased to see that it gave information on someone else's ability. It told Erix what type of ability someone else had, which would be very useful in a fight. There was one piece of information the system gave that Erix found quite strange and that was the 'Blood type'. It was weird for the system to give him information about such a specific thing and Erix also wondered how on earth this would ever help him in the future. He decided to look at his stats. The system said his stats have increased after his level up so he wanted to see for himself how much it increased. "Anyway, you will need to choose one of these. Though you can still go around and take a few lessons with any class of your choice, you should know that you can't be in two places at a time. As for the exams in those classes, your future teachers will explain them to you in detail, but you should at least know that they won't happen on earth." Joe finally concluded. Once again, all the classes went into discussion and this time, Joe attempted not to stop them. It was about their future, anyway, so he let them discuss and decide with each other. And what they were taking was about the exams. If they weren't taking place in the earthly realm, it means they will be taking place in the savage realm since the two realms were the only ones in existence. And the possible outcomes on planets within the savage realm were the students fighting magical beasts. Though rumors once had it that there were other realms besides the earth and savage realm, because no one got to testify to it with evi
As soon as Erix heard the sound of the bell, he quickly stood up and sprinted out of the class. Everyone in the class, including Joe, was surprised at the sudden outburst. He had yet to formally announce the end of the class before this happened. The film ended the exact moment the dismissal bell went off, so he wanted to make one more announcement before finally ending the class. But he could, a student got up and ran out of his class. "What..the?!" The big guy yelled in anger and got up as well to trail along Erix, but he hadn't gone far from his seat when he heard the homeroom teacher saying. "The class hasn't ended. Please sit down," Joe said with an ominous look that was enough to make the boy stop. Without uttering any word, and with a grim face, he sat back in his seat.'Damn it! He fled again! That son of a bitch! I will f**king kill him if I get my hands on him!' The big guy grumbled angrily as he sat back down. He had planned to deal with Erix after school. But his p
"Good morning, Rin." Erix greeted me with a smile. "Did you sleep well?" Rin just woke up so his eyes were still half-closed. And because of that, he had an impression that the person who talked wasn't a human. "Why is there a demon in front of my bed?" "Pffff, haha, where did that come from?" Erix chuckled awkwardly. "I'm not a demon, just Erix, your roommate." Hearing what Erix said, Rin immediately stood up from his bed. "Wait, what did I say?" His ears became red. He was ashamed of what he said. "That I was a demon?" Erix repeated what Rin said. "I know what I said, you don't have to remind me." "Oh, my bad. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to anger you," Erix returned to his shy self and just looked down. He wanted to make a good impression but failed. Alas, that's what he thought. "No wait, I didn't mean it like that," Rin quickly said since Erix seemed to have taken what he said the wrong way. "What I meant is that you don't have to remind me or tease me about what I said. It

In the fifth city of the planet of demons, the darkness was absolute. The only source of light was the dimly red light coming from the sky. Amidst this eerie atmosphere, a young lady could be seen walking down the street. Her long red hair fluttered in the chilly wind as she made her way to her destination. The demons on the streets recognized her instantly. She was none other than Tania, the famous saintess of the tenth city. Her reputation preceded her, and the demons knew her for her unparalleled strength and her unwavering respect for the demon laws. They were surprised to see her walking down the street of the fifth city at this hour, and they couldn't help but wonder what brought her out of her abode. As Tania walked past them, she maintained a cold and expressionless face. Her demeanor was as stoic as ever, and it was impossible to guess what was going on in her mind. She continued walking, lost in thought until she finally arrived in front of a modern and decent bungalow.Wi
Lord Julian led Erix, Shota, and Orah up a grand staircase to the second floor of his regal mansion. The walls were adorned with paintings of famous battles and landscapes. Once they reached the top, he turned and gestured towards a door on the left."This will be your room," Lord Julian said. "I hope it'll suffice for your stay here."When they entered the room, they admired the room. The furniture was made from the finest wood on the planet and decorated with intricate engravings. There was a large three-poster bed, a vanity table with a mirror, and a fireplace to keep them warm during the colder nights.Shota nodded with admiration "It's habitable. Not bad."Orah examined the room carefully, old habits from his training, and started to make a list of any potential security risks. When he was finished, he said, "It's perfect. Better than that crappy rubbish from earlier."Lord Julian noticed the absence of Scott and raised an eyebrow. "Where is the servant goblin? Did he not wish to
The ruthless demon towered over the cowering goblin, its eyes glowing red in the dim light of the forest. The goblin had lost all of his comrades in the battle that had been raging for minutes and was now at the mercy of the demon that had led the attack."Please, spare me," the goblin pleaded, his voice trembling with fear. "I surrender."The demon let out a deep, thundering laugh. "Very wise of you, little goblin," Orah growled. "You have made the right choice. I will let you live. But there are consequences."Instead of killing the goblin, however, the demon did something unexpected. He looked the goblin straight in the eye and muttered words in a language the goblin did not understand.Suddenly, the goblin felt a strange sensation coursing through his body. He paled, but at the same time, a strange sense of loyalty blossomed within him. He looked up at Orah with wide eyes and suddenly realized what had just happened."You... you manipulated my mind just like your friend did with Ro
Erix heaved a sigh when he heard what Orah said. Orah had deliberately spoken of the rebellion to give him no choice but to agree with his words, and it had really worked.Definitely, they wouldn't let the goblins go after learning of their plan for fear of being exposed. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean they must kill the goblins to silence them. There are other ways to silence them without actually killing them.As much as Erix had the urge to kill the goblins for the sake of exp, he didn't want to miss the opportunity to gain loyal servants who undoubtedly would bring more benefits than just the immediate gain of exp. Thus, instead of complying with Orah's appeal, he acted differently."No, we won't kill them. They'll be useful to us if we have them as servants. I don't want us to waste them by killing them," Erix told his friends."How are we going to tame these losers anyway? Why don't we kill them now to save ourselves the trouble of doing that in the future?" Shota spoke up, soun
Erix and his friends delved deeper and deeper into the forest as they talked to relieve their boredom. However, that was only until they came upon a group of seven goblins, armed to the teeth. They stopped a short distance away from the goblins before they were seen. The goblins carried spears, bows, arrows, and many other vicious weapons."What should we do now? Go back?" Orah asked in a very low tone."These guys are armed. They are not like any other goblins we have encountered so far. Maybe we should leave before they see us," Erix asserted. In his opinion, he found it pointless to waste their strength fighting the goblins."Come on, it'll be fun to fight these losers. Only I can take them out at once," Shota said with excited eyes. However, seeing that none of his friends reciprocated this enthusiasm, he sighed and said, "Fine, if that's what you want, then... Ahhh!!!" Shota cried out and jumped up in startlement.A few seconds later, a rat ran out from under the ground where he h
In the portal room inside military base two, a purple opening appeared from which five soldiers emerged. The soldiers were the military team that had gone to look for the students who had gotten lost inside a beast planet. However, they had returned empty-handed, believing that the students were no longer there. They saw it with their own eyes as the students dissolved into red, invisible dust."Everyone, except Leo, can go back to their domains and rest. I'll report to the General Staff with Leo," General Stanley announced shortly after they arrived. They all nodded and went on their way. But all of them except Leo.General Stanley looked at Leo and asked, "Are you sure you want to do this? Roaming about Camuti alone is dangerous, you could even die there."Although he was always envious of Leo and his impeccable way of doing things, he didn't wish him death.Leo's face was cold and expressionless. He only nodded but said nothing."If you say so. Just know that you don't have to kill
Josh was a little startled when he heard that. He didn't know why, but Erix's words made him anxious and frightened. He tried to put up a calm facade, but that immediately crumbled as Erix approached him.Erix walked towards him calmly and with a cold expression. He didn't look excited or angry.'But he's only human,' a thought popped into Josh's head. 'What if this is only a technique to intimidate and disorient you? He may have super healing, but he's not invulnerable to death, so be smart. Kill him when you get the chance.'Josh's courage immediately picked up as this thought crossed his mind.He got into a fighting stance and laughed nervously, "Come on, little human. You can't scare me."Erix chuckled when he heard this. He pronto activated his light wing boots and transported himself behind Josh, invisible as a bullet."How about now, are you afraid of me?" Erix asked in a whisper, chuckling. He wasn't attacking Josh yet. He just wanted to scare him a little.Josh was terrified
