We all stepped out of the green room and walked down the hallway. The girls wouldn't stop chit-chatting in excitement until we reached the intersection between the entrance and the stage. We turned right and they became completely silent. The light gradually dimmed as we continued our walk towards the backstage area. I glanced back over my shoulder to see their eyes move around frantically in all directions.

We arrived backstage and climbed the stairs onto the platform, which had been almost cleared of all the boxes and tools. The girls ran past me—except for Umi—and their jaws dropped when they saw the empty court. The rest of us stood aside to let them enjoy the moment.

Risa swept tears from her eyes and Sanae squeezed her as soon as she noticed it. Astra joined the hug a second later.

Umi stood next to them an

The concert continued without issues until the second to last song: Starry Sunrise. Umi's microphone suddenly stopped working during her section of the song. Fortunately, Aki quickly realized what was happening and sang for her since they both had a similar vocal range. I approached Miki again. "What happened?" "I'm not sure, her microphone just stopped working. She probably doesn't hear us either." "There are more microphones, right?" "Yes, in that box," he answered and pointed at a box on the desk. I opened it and grabbed one of the three microphones. "The song will finish in two minutes, then the girls are going to give a short speech to introduce the last song. We'll swap at that moment."

As always, the lecture room was empty when I stepped in. Only Professor Fuku sat at her desk in front of the whiteboard. She stared down at the hologram projecting out of the desk, yet her eyes stayed still. I stood next to her and called her, "Professor Fuku?" She jumped on her chair. "Miyahara! You shouldn't do that, you could've given me a heart attack." It had been a while since I had seen her eyes open that wide. "I'm sorry," I smiled. "Don't worry," she chuckled and stared at me. "You seem happier than usual." "Well, it's finally presentation day after almost four years." "Yeah…," she sighed and looked down at the desk, yet her smile remained.

I sat up in a jump and stammered, "Good evening. No, it's no problem at all." "I'm glad to hear that," the man replied. "I was in the Business Administration project presentation of Saitama University a couple of days ago, the reason being that I was already interested in your company. I wanted to make sure you had a proper vision for it before recommending it to the CEO. It took me these last few days to convince him, that's why I'm calling at this time." No words came to my mind. I didn't even know what to think. I hadn't heard about Archilands Records before. What if it was a scam? Or maybe they just wanted to use us to get more popular. Maybe it was a mistake. The man laughed nervously, "I apologize, I always talk too much before asking: are you interested in this proposal?"

I was in the middle of taking a shower when my glasses rang with a call. I walked out of the bathroom only wearing a towel and put my glasses on to see that the lawyer was calling. He had already worked extra without asking for more money, so I didn't want to make him wait. I answered the call and a hologram of him projected out of my glasses onto the floor. Luckily, he wasn't able to see me. "Good evening, Mr. Miyahara," he greeted me. "I just reviewed the contract, so everything's fresh in my head." "Great. What do you think?" "There's nothing wrong with it. Some of the terms might be a little harsh or ambiguous, but everything makes sense from the point of view of a company." "That's what I thought." "Why did you ask

Destroyed, I walked back to Aki's apartment. Thirty minutes remained before we needed to go to work, so I wanted to be alone with her until then. However, I stopped when I raised my hand to ring the bell. I wanted to be comforted, but not in the way Aki did. Instead, I walked to the neighboring apartment and rang the bell. Haru opened the door a few seconds later. "Kaito? I'm glad to see you, but what are you doing here? Don't you have work in half an hour?" she smiled. Her smile disappeared as soon as I said, "Can I come in for a bit?" She turned around to look inside her apartment before looking at me again and nodding. She held the door open for me to enter and closed it behind me. Her apartment was a little messy wit

Everyone sat in silence until the door opened and Haru appeared behind it. She waved and smiled. Aki stood up in a jump and shouted, "Aunt?!" "Hi, Aki," Haru giggled. "Why do you seem so shocked?" "I just… didn't expect it." Haru chuckled. I signaled her with my head to step in and so did she. She stood next to me in the middle of the studio. "She's your aunt?" Risa wondered. "I see the resemblance, now that I know it," Astra added. "I didn't see her face properly that time in the car," Umi said. "I'm sure I've seen her at Saitama University before." Haru replied, "Yes, I am… was a

As I talked with Jun in his apartment, my glasses started ringing and a name appeared on the screen. Talents Of The Old Tomorrow? Another company. Should I answer? "A call?" Jun wondered as he drank more of his beer. I nodded and sighed. "Looks like it's another company. I should answer, but it's late and I'm tired of dealing with this—" "Just answer." The glasses kept ringing as I sat in silence. Why am I even thinking of avoiding it? My glasses recognized my command and the call started. "Hello?" I said. "Good evening, Mr. Miyahara," a woman replied. "I'm very sorry to bother you this late, but we haven't found the time to call you until now." She sounded truly embarrassed. "Don't worry, I'm used to it," I joked, but I realized it didn't sound as I had expected it to sound; it even sounded cocky. I cleared my throat and asked, "What do you need?" "Yes. I'm calling on behalf of Talents Of The Old Tomorrow. We are a company with the goal of bringing classical music to the prese

We turned around to see Aeryx walking through the glass door. Oh, Ms. Yoshida meant her. "I thought you had already left," Ms. Yoshida laughed nervously. Aeryx replied with her hands on her waist, "And miss the opportunity to meet beautiful and talented girls?" The girls instantly perked up their chests and stood straight like soldiers. Aeryx chuckled and smirked, "Astra, Aki, Sanae, Risa, Umi, it's a pleasure to meet you. You only have one album, yet I'm already a fan of your work. I mean it." The girls grinned at each other and Sanae replied, "Thank you! We also admire your work, mostly Umi, she's a fan of yours." Everyone looked at Umi, who stared at Aeryx in shock. It took a couple of seconds for her to come back to reason. She shook her head and stammered, "Yes, I have been a fan of yours for almost three years." Her eyes kept moving up and down, barely making eye contact with Aeryx. "Since I started, then. I'm flattered. I know you wrote the songs for Blossom Stars. You're s

    The First Galactical Idols

We began the tour with enough energy to power the entire world, and so we did. The first half of the tour took place in the biggest venues in our country, followed by arenas, domes, forums, and stadiums around the world with a capacity of up to sixty thousand people. All of the concerts were live-streamed on the QNet, and included Furenoora, Plaraqor, and Slixam, making us the first idol group to transmit a concert to other planets. Thankfully, the tour was filled with adventures and good times. We had learned enough to be able to avoid most of the problems we had in the past, although that didn't save us from the mistakes of others. Haru accompanied us throughout the majority of the tour to get experience since she was about to become the only CEO of GIMA.

Although work on the fourth album had already begun before the conference, it accelerated after that. Half of the team focused on it, while the other half focused on the rest of the projects. Two developers were hired to start working with the people in charge of the QTubers project—Aya and Tomokazu—and with Jun, who was the designer. The developers could also work on other projects related to the QNet or even Humas, if GIMA ever decided to make them. Prior to opening our studios to other artists, GIMA invested a considerable amount of money in renovating the buildings on the street where HQ was located, while keeping their antique architecture. However, we didn't expect the government to acknowledge our actions and even commit to allocating more resources to the Trading District over the following years.

After revealing Blostars' future to the girls, everything was discussed in several meetings with the entire company. No one expected it to happen so soon. More importantly, it was going to be a huge blow despite the decision feeling like the right thing to do.Even though it took multiple weeks to come up with a plan, we were all able to come to an agreement. The first part of the plan was to schedule a press conference, for which GIMA's HQ didn't have space. We asked TOTOT to lend us theirs, and they accepted without asking any questions. However, I had another request. The longer we waited, the more likely it was for the announcements to get leaked. So, the day of the press conference arrived in the blink of an eye.Walking out of the green room and seeing dozens of ca

Even though we were in a proper venue on Plaraqor, it only had a capacity for five hundred Plaqories, who were similar in size to Humans. Still, the space backstage was very limited. The entire team couldn't fit in the green room at once. Luckily, that was a rare occurrence as most of them were working elsewhere. Sanae finally stepped out of the bathroom after fifteen minutes. I walked in and washed my hands and my face to freshen up, then I approached the toilet to use it. However, I hadn't even unzipped my pants when Sanae's yell made me jolt. "Who ate my sour candies?!" I sighed. Now what? All of GIMA's team in the room glanced at each other in silence when I stepped out. I Became the Manager of the First Galactical Idols

    The Third Final Stretch

Ms. Yoshida and I agreed on the time later in the day, and the next morning arrived before I realized it. There was no need to wear something too formal since we had known each other for a while, but that decision backfired as soon as I stood in front of the glass door of the meeting room at TOTOT Studios. A suited man was sitting at the same table as Ms. Yoshida, not too far away from her, which caused me to freeze in place. Could that be…? My eyes met with Ms. Yoshida's, so I had no choice but to step in. "It's great to see you, Mr. Miyahara," greeted Ms. Yoshida. "Thank you for coming." "Good morning, Ms. Yoshida," I replied as I approached the table.

    Paying Off

Work accelerated despite the uncertainty of the tour, and before we realized it, all of the songs had been written. Life Is Life, the title track, was the perfect introduction to the album. It described what life was and what it meant for any living being in an uplifting manner. Umi had done an incredible job using concepts that were easy to understand. Shapes & Colors, the second song of the album, talked about how life is life, no matter the shape or the color, the body or the culture. It had an uplifting tone just like the title track. Barriers was the third song of the album, making it clear that every species had its own challenges and problems to deal with. More than uplifting, it was a reminder that we really couldn't meddle in another species' life. We Ar

An hour passed. I watched Aki sew Blostars' costume with the new ideas she had for the third album. Aside from small details that made reference to the album, she wanted to add a new layer of fabric to the skirt to give it more depth. I instantly agreed when I saw it. Then, the invitation qmail arrived. The location was the most important conference hall in the city, where the government always announced important stuff. That was where the ex-president, Sanae's and Risa's father, confessed his actions and revealed that he was stepping down as the president. Regardless, it was a beautiful place, surrounded by the most elegant garden I had ever seen. The invitation also included the time, which was the next day before noon, and the dress code, which was strictly formal. It made Aki happy because I was going to wear

Time froze as I stared at the Furenoo aiming at us. It was obvious they were a Furenoo, yet I had to be truly confident they were a bad person. Regardless, there was no time to think. Even though every movement I made was processed by my brain in an instant, my body moved at the speed of a snail. Everything around me had slowed down. Finally, my arm had been lifted high enough so that my stun gun aimed at the Furenoo. I just needed to pull the trigger, but before being able to do so, a distant shot made my eyes shut. After an eternity of silence, a loud thud made my eyes open again. The Furenoo that was aiming at us was now convulsing on the floor. They had been shot by another security guard that had appeared from the other corridor. The security guard next to me wa

We hugged as a team after that, then we let the girls rest. That didn't last for long, however. The owner of the bar only knocked on the door once and opened it before we could even answer. He stood in front of me and looked me in the eye. "Please perform again tomorrow." A sigh of relief came out of my mouth. There were no plans for the following day, so I eagerly accepted. "Sure." He smiled and stepped out of the room without saying anything. The girls laughed and continued to rest for several minutes. Once they felt rested enough, it was time to proceed with the second part of the plan. We grabbed as much as we could of the merchandise we had been able to bring with us an
