In the land of Akozo, the ruins caused by the dragon were still fresh but already Samata was seated on the throne which stood in the throne room with no roof to cover it. There she sat until she began to hear the footsteps coming towards the hall. Standing by her sides were her most trusted soldiers whereas outside the dragon was flying about. She looked up and saw that the person coming in was her son Akiza. She sighed. It still disturbed her greatly whenever she set her eyes on her son, her slave whose will was no longer his but here.
"Mother" he bent with one knee before her and rose only when he heard her ask him to. While he stood before her he said, "I am sorry that I failed to capture his wife and some of the palace officials who sneaked her out of this palace"
"You do not need to blame yourself son. We were at war and everything happened so fast. You did exactly what I told you to do and you led the army of Dodo well. They will always remember you for this" The mother then stood up and asked the soldiers standing by her sides to leave them and they did. She then walked closer to her son and standing before him she held his and put his palm into hers, smooching it and looking at those palms. There was tears in her eyes and Akiza could not understand why. He tried to help her clean those tears but the woman wanted to keep crying. It broke her heart to see her son acting the way he did and she wished her friend Aromo never did what she did with her son.
"Mother why are you crying?"
"I am okay son" she wiped her tears.
"No you are not. Are you worried about me? You should not be. I promised to stand by you and that is what it will always be" he assured her.
"You don't understand son. I did what I did because I needed you to stay on cause and not be taken away from me. I know you don't understand what I am saying but I mean it when I tell you I love you. All these that happened here today I did it for you, that you may take your rightful place on the throne your late father left you. It is yours to assume" she blinked her teary eyes as she looked up at his face.
"Is that what you want me to do mother? Whatever you wish that is my command. If you wish that I take the throne then I will take it" He said and smiled. Samata nodded.
"I need to rest now" she disengaged her hands from his and walked away. Akiza stood there confused, wondering if he had done anything wrong.
That evening Samata walked outside and then addressed the large army that survived the battle.
"I know what it would seem now that we are in charge here. We have taken this great land and we must keep it, we must also send a word to Dodo to inform the people of our victory here and also inform the Prophetess of Dodo to come over and dedicate this land to the gods of Dodo. We are not going to slumber but we will be sober for we know that having taken this land the wife of the demised King is nowhere to be found. We do not know if Akozo has any allies and if they do it can be possible that the wife escaped to call for her supporters. If that becomes the case then we have another battle to fight, we keep fighting until we are victorious. Now, I will send some men among you to Dodo and take this message to them"
Few days later the men sent to Dodo arrived and they headed to the shrine of the Prophetess of Dodo. Having told her of their victory she did not smile but nodded, stood up and announced that she would announce to the people about the victory and would be in Akozo in four days time. The messengers left.

Ralf was back to his men who thought it wise to leave the bar and return to their base and there wait for their Master who was taking long inside the room offered to him and Aromo inside the bar. When the bandits returned to the base the Second In Command after Ralf inquired of Ralf but was told he was still at the bar. He suspicious but decided to wait. After few hours Ralf returned and called for an urgent meeting and when the bandits came together he let the cat out the back, revealing to them the reason for the meeting.
"We are no longer going to continue like this. There is always a time when things must change and the question is what does it change to? Now, we have a new leader that we must follow and she is the one who will expose us to the very thing we have always desired; taking our pound of flesh; avenging the death of our over four hundred brothers who were murdered by the King of Abumu in one night, that way we will not only kill the King of Abumu but somehow take over his Kingdom" His men found his words unconvincing and they needed more explanations.
Princess Damina walked out of her hut and headed to the forest to hunt, it was while she was there that she got bursted by the men belonging to Ralf and one of them recognised her to be the same lady that there leader got insulted by and ran off with someone's horse. At that moment it was clear to them that if they capture her and take her back to base their leader Ralf would be pleased with them. They got hold of her and while she struggled with them they forced her out of the forest and headed back to base with her.
Back in the base they learnt that their leader had gone to bring with him the lady that she spoke would become their leader which all of them had come to agree with. They then tied Princess Damina to a tree and waited. Shortly Ralph came back with Aromo who walked briskly towards the tent she was being ushered in. Princess Damina who was tied to a tree saw and recognized Aromo but Aromo did not recognize her for she didn't look towards her direction. Inside the tent Ralf proposed to offer Aromo some meat they hunted but she declined and looked around her.
"Your people agreed to make me their leader yet I could see in the eyes of some of them; they don't think it would be appropriate for a woman to be their leader. You will have to make them understand that you have made your decision and your decision is final. I am counting on you to make this easy for me"
"Definitely my Mistress" Ralf then stepped outside and standing for second called for the gathering of the brothers and they soon gathered before him. He began, "Well, some of you have seen the woman I came back with" as he spoke Aromo stepped out and stood beside him. "We all know why she is here, as we discussed she is our leader from now on, it means she answers to no one but everyone of us answers to her. But then I have decided even then I already concluded that it would be wiser to pay attention to what you have to say and probably make my decision based on your opinions. So I am here to ask, if any of you do not agree with this new development the person can come to my left side while the ones that agree with me can come to the right side of mine"
The group stared at one another and even though some who disagreed with Ralf perceived danger they still stubbornly chose to stand at his left side to show their disagreement. When it was clear to Ralf that the two divided groups have made their decisions he counted the number of those that disagree with him and they were up to twenty and the number of the ones that agreed with him were up to three hundred and fifty. He then spoke to those who were against him.
"I would have pardoned you and probably would have listened to you but you see, I am under a curse to obey this woman standing before me here and whatever she says is what it is. So I am going to have to ask her what she thinks of you lot" When Ralf turned to face Aromo she did not say a word immediately but looked at the twenty men for a while then spoke, "I would have pardoned them and probably I would have decided to make them understand me but having disagreed and disapproved of me at first it would be so foolish of me to now welcome them into my space. Well, here is the thing, I want them dead" Immediately she said these words Ralf drew his sword and the over three hundred and fifty men drew their own swords. The twenty men having seen that they were going to be slaughtered like animals drew their own swords and chose to die fighting instead. The over three hundred and fifty men pounced on them and before king the twenty men were on the floor, bleeding and dying. Only five of the other group lost their lives. Ralf turned again to face Aromo and he asked, "Have I pleased you my lady?"
"Yes, you have pleased me real well" She responded and walked back into the tent.
That night Princess Damina was brought to face Aromo who was to decide what becomes of her. When Aromo looked up at her standing there before her she spoke, "Are you still angry with me?"
"I don't know what you are talking about but you should be careful how you use words" Said Princess Damina. Aromo smiled at her courage and then asked, "Won't you beg for your life? the last time I checked I have the right to either set you free or sentence you to death"
"I know what you did; you did to him what you Sisters Of Magic in Dodo are good at" said the Princess.
"When you talk about the Sisters of Magic in the land of Dodo you talk about them with so much ignorance and disrespect. You do know that not even the Prophetess of Dodo can tell where the Sisters Of Magic are dwelling. When you call them Sister Of Magic in Dodo you limit them. My Sisters are not only in Dodo but everywhere. Your mother inlaw is still one of us"
"Stop calling her my mother in-law. A woman that killed my own father can't be the mother of a man who marries me" angrily said Princess Damina.
"Are you saying now that Akiza will never marry you?" asked Aromo. There was no answer from the Princess who thought it would be childish of her to respond to that question; no matter how much she loved Akiza she was never going to get back with him again. All she wanted was to survive. Now that it was clear to Aromo that Princess Damina hated Akiza she was now ready to tell her the real truth.
"When Akiza's mother came to your father's palace riding that ancient creature you did not see her son with her right? Well, that was because she left her son with me in my own house. You know what I did with and to her son before she returned after taking your father hostage? I had him inbetween my legs and she felt the sweetness of my body, that way she became my slave" After she had said this she waited to see the reaction of the Princess but it appeared the Princess wasn't ready to loose her cool or she wasn't ready to betray herself and reveal the fact that she still loved Akiza and that what the woman was saying was itching in her ears. Aromo then stood up and continued, "You see my dear, your mother took her son knowing fully well of what I did to him, well, I'm not sure if she knew what I did to him at first but I know she must have found out by now and when she did there was only one way she would have restored the sanity of her son, to himself? no, but either to herself or to another sister like us. It means that if your mother in-law decided to restore the sanity of Akiza and to still keep him by her side the only way for her to achieve that is by making love with her own son"
"Why are you telling me all of these things?" Princess Damina who was boiling with anger needed to know. She had been feeling like punching Aromo on the face all the while she had been speaking but somehow she managed her anger.
"You have always been the Daddy's pet and so your father the late King of Dodo never told you that he was having an affair with the Prophetess of Dodo and that actually was where his downfall started. You would like to ask me how I know these things but I had to know them and that was before I left the land of Dodo under banishment"
"I am not going to beg you for my live Aromo, no I'm not. I would hate to stay here with you or to leave here knowing that you did this to a man that I loved. He was never my enemy but his mother. Whatever you and his mother are has nothing to do with his innocence. I stayed with that man and I knew him very well, he was a lovely man, who needed my happiness. I thank the gods for the times I spent with him. He will always be the only man I ever loved. You can go ahead and order your men to have me killed, I'm now waiting"
"I can't kill you my dear, I'm not going to do that, atleast not yet, then this is what will happen to you then, you will have to allow Ralf to make love to you and should I tell you what happens to you after you allow him in-between your legs? you will loose your will to him and if you loose your will to him and he has lost his will to me what do you think will become of you? You will then become my pet just as you were your father's" This was too much for Princess Damina and she went down on her knees and begged Aromo.
Queen Lume allowed herself some rest as the officials with her went into the inner forest to hunt for some meat. The Chief Guard stood beside her and waited for her. She raised her head to look at him, "You should rest your tired head too""I'm okay my Queen. I would prefer to stand" he said and adjusted his sword."That isn't my name. I am not "My Queen" any longer. You can call me by my name, meanwhile I insist that you sit and have rest" She adjusted herself and then the Chief Guard slowly sat beside her."You are unusually quite. Your wife...""She died, her corpse laid just beside the Dodo soldier that killed her. She might her died fighting the one that killed her" The Child Guard spoke and removed his face from her glare to avoid exposing his weakness and revealing his tears. The Queen was so sympathetic towards him and she begged him to take heart. "I know how you must feel. If I were you I would have left me behind to look for my wife but you stuck with me and your loyalty s
Begging was enough, besides Aromo was not ready to hurt Princess Damina and when she stood facing her where she knelt she asked her to be on her feet which she did and she walked closer to her and asked, "You know that your father wasn't good to me right?" Damina nodded with tears in her eyes."I heard you loved sex, you stopped?" asked Aromo but the Princess didn't answer, wondering how Aromo got to know about her sexual life. Could it be that Akiza was sharing what they had together with others behind her back? "Well" continued Aromo, "I would have you here with me but already you know that the plan is not to remain here but to take what belongs to these people from the man who took it from them. Here is Abumu and these people belong here" She moved outside and the Princess followed suit. They both stood at the entrance of the tent."It will soon get dark. I know you must be famished and so you need to eat" Aromo beckoned on one of the men and asked that Damina be served. As Damina
In the land of Akozo, Akiza walked to the dragon while it curled up outside the palace building. When he came to him he saw he was feeding on a human. He knew of his mother's arrest of all the men and women that surrendered during the battle in the palace and her plan to be feeding them to her creature. As he stood there a soldier walked up to him to inform him of his mother's demand for his presence. He walked to the throne room and met her pacing angrily. She stopped and began,"A troubling news I have received and it angers me as well; the people of Dodo are no longer with me and they have killed the officials in the palace of Dodo and equally attempted to kill the Prophetess. They have turned against me but they have made the worst mistake of their lives. How could they? have they not been told of what I did with my dragon in the palace of Dodo, do they think I can not do the same to them? I will ride to Dodo at first light and I will ride not on a horse or on a chariot but on my
The entry of Samata into the land of Dodo was a scary one for the people as they began to run Helter skelter. The dragon obeyed the command given him by Samata and began to rain down fire on the roofs of the homes of the people of Dodo. The people ran out of their burning houses and while they ran through the streets the fire from the breath of the dragon swept them off their feet and they began to burn, to scream and to die. The Priest remained in his house and waited in prayer. He knew there was nothing he could do. When he heard the heavy sounds outside his house was when he stepped out. He stepped out to meet Samata standing in his compound with her dragon growling loudly in the air. When he stepped outside he knelt before her and Samata walked up to him in her Queenly regalia. "My own people turned against me!!!" she was visibly angry and her eyes were red with fury."I didn't know of this my Queen. When I got the opportunity to talk sense into your subjects it was already too l
When Aromo regained herself fully she walked to the seat kept for her in the middle of the compound of the palace of Abumu and then sat down in it. After he had sat down she looked towards Princess Damina who was made to kneel before her with her hands bound behind her back. "You should have done the right thing, you should have remained with me and followed my moves but you were overcome by your cling to the past and now the past is about to ruin your life. Did you actually want me dead, What were you thinking? if you had succeeded in killing me surely Ralf wouldn't have let you walk away" "I knew all of that when I decided to have you killed. I already decided my faith by now. You survived that sword because you have magic running in veins. Yes, I failed and I know what your judgement will be; death. Go on and sentence me but Incase you ever get the opportunity to meet with Akiza again, let him know that I love him still and will always love him" "Oh how romantic. Ofcourse I'm go
The Prophetess was back to give the Chief of the Diadoma tribe the feedback and she was smiling as she sat with him once again, ofcourse she tried her best to keep her smile so real to avoid the fat man noticing she didn't like him. The Chief was eager to hear what Lume had to say to his proposal."You see my lord, sorry my Chief, you already know just like I told you earlier that the lady you are asking to come to bed with you is a daughter of a Prophetess but then I made a promise to talk her to it and somehow she accepted but...but there is a condition attached to it""whatever the condition may be" the fat man sounded excited and this irritated the Prophetess the more and she wondered what exactly was wrong with the old man. She however didn't want to spoil the whole thing as she went further to tell him that already Lume had accepted to be with him for that night but on the condition that the Chief wasn't going to see her face as he made love to her. At this the the Chief didn't
Amanda the maid whom Akiza slept with and became sick had hid in one of the rooms where the maids were allowed to stay and while she sat there she kept shivering for she could not understand what happened; why Akiza was dying, and she hid there for two days without food or water. When she finally stepped out she didn't need anyone to tell her that the Queen had taken her son away on her dragon and nobody knew where she was taking him to but none questioned her, not even the physicians who were attending to her son. When Akiza's mother reached the gods cave in Dodo she dismounted her dragon and helped her son down from him. She then looked directly towards the cave and paused for a second. She felt strange and somehow she suspected all was not well. She then turned to the dragon letting him know to be alert and the dragon growled. Samata then was about entering the cave when suddenly Aromo stepped out holding onto the mother of magic and forcing her to move with a sword pointing at her
It was late at night when Amanda was heading to the well in the palace to fetch some water with a bucket. Suddenly someone came to her front and stood there. She was startled at first until she recognized the face of the one standing there. She didn't want a situation whereby she would scream and awake others in the palace. She needed that water so as to bath and she needed the young man to step away from her front. That was Ohu, one of the palace male servants who had refused to let her be. He had been pestering her to accept to be his woman but time and again she had made it clear to him that they would never have anything in common. That night what Ohu wanted was to let her know he was aware of what she did with Akiza before he went into coma and his mother had to take him away on the dragon. When he mentioned this she was startled and she looked at him gloomily and wondered how he saw it. She dropped the bucket in her hand and asked, "What do you mean by that?""What it means is t
"The dragon rained fire in every corners of the earth" boasted Samata but Aromo raised her head and spoke, "In Ngiga it didn't rain, fire didn't rain my mistress" Samata then looked at Lume, "And you, you who married my mortal enemy""My husband wasn't your mortal enemy, your mortal enemy is the one kneeling before your side. I mean wasn't because of her your only son died? You stand to accuse me" Lume then stood up. "Are you insane? How dare you?" Samata slapped Lume across the face and she stood up in anger. "Go ahead and kill me, isn't that what you are known for? You only but kill, you kill and your dragon kill, that ancient evil creature that breathed fire on the innocent children of the earth. I know that you believe in yourself so much that you don't think someone can stop you but..."Amanda gave birth to my late son's son. The child didn't die before Amanda gave birth to him and died. I know that somehow you are thinking that my death will be the end of everything about me b
Seated on the throne Samata was moved to think again, the very day that Aromo challenged someone in her presence. She didn't know the person was a Prophetess of Dodo and that day they saw hell. Seated on the throne of Akozo she kept thinking so hard about everything and how far she had gone with Aromo. She knew without being told that things weren't the same again between them, with Aromo being responsible for the death of her son Akiza. At this thought once again she stood up and went outside. She was approached by one of the officials who stood before him and asked, "We are being told that things aren't the same again by the other officials who are no longer near us but stays outside the city. They say we do not have an army again and we do not know what else to do. Is it not a thing of pain that most times we neglect the things that matter most. Now that your dragon had burnt to ashes the army that should be in the camp which other army are we to use?""Use and do what?" Samata ask
When it was evening the two arrived in the godscave and the mother of magic looked up to her face, the face of Samata and then spoke to her after sometimes. "You are not just a person from the land of Akozo but you are royalty and the child you carry is royalty too. At this Aromo looked at Samata and wondered what else she hid from her. The mother of magic continued, "You are a Queen from the royal home of Akozo. How true is this?" "You are right mother of magic. I came straight to Dodo from the palace of Akozo" admitted Samata and this touched Aromo who was forced to ask, "What else are you hiding from me Samata?""I never hid the part where I'm the Queen of Akozo or where I was the Queen for I'm no longer a Queen, but you remember you never gave me the opportunity to speak further as you asked me to leave your house immediately. What else would you have me do, force myself to stay and have you throw me out by force?"That night Aromo and Samata went to Aromo's house and while they
Having left the place of Aromo Samata headed towards the next village in the same land of Dodo. She planned to find a way to stay where no one would be able to question her about herself so deep or be able to read her mind and suspect her. On the other hand Aromo headed to the godscave in the land of Dodo. In the godscave was where the mother of magic was staying and there she has disciples whose duties were to carry important messages across to the sisters of magic across the world. When Aromo arrived the godscave she met the mother of magic already seated and expecting her."I knew you were coming. It already reached my ears before you arrived. Is it not a new thing that you came on a day like this? You hardly come at a time like this" The mother of magic was saying."I'm sorry but coming over here to see you all I wanted to do is to ensure that I'm doing the right thing. Mother of Magic, I just want to know if I'm doing the right thing or not. I want to know if someone I accepted
"You believe in the earth god and also in your mother but between these two whom do you believe in more?""Of ourselves our mother. She founded the sisterhood and it was only when she found it and initiated us that we began to know what it means to have freedom. We were before those who were broken, with some of us made to suffer in the hands of the officials of the King of Dodo. Even though the King isn't a bad one his governors and commanders of his armies are bad and did unspeakable things to those of us that found solace in the sisterhood. We hadn't joined then and it was when we came together, each of us with her own story of how she suffered in the hands of the governors, commanders and other officials of the palace of the King. We then decided that we had to join our mother whom through we had seen raw display of power. We then went ahead and had in our minds to create a common goal, never to allow anyone intimidate us again whether man of woman. It worked for us because we gre
The next day after she had buried the dead bodies she found herself thinking of what next to do. She stood up once and paced and then in that same morning, very early in the morning she saw a great number of young men and women with clubs and with other weapons troop into the compound because they had been told that the owner of the house had been killed. Samata did not know how they got the information. They went into the house and dragged her out. One of them said it would be a waste of spectator if they killed her in the house instead it would be worth what she committed if they could drag her to the open market where the whole people would witness her death. The rest agreed to this and then they dragged her out of the house and headed with her to the market square where they intended to have her stoned to death. When the people had gotten to the market with Samata and her baby they pushed them to the ground and were getting stoned to stone her death when a voice of someone was hea
Now that you have destroyed the world what else would a helpless old man like me be doing here on earth. Go ahead and kill me" Samata shortly stepped out with her fingers bloody. she had killed the Seer.Goge and Arore with the Prophetess arrived the Sea and boarded a ship. Meanwhile where Lume was with Aromo she had begged her not to do what she had decided to do, begged her to please spare her life and not enter the land of Akozo with her but then it wasn't what was expected by Lume because Arome had made up her mind and nothing was going to stop her."Don't tell me not to take you to Akozo Queen..If you are left here or with your daughter and those with her who claim to be doing the right thing what good will you do for her or for anyone. You know why I must take you to the Queen of Akozo? Because already I'm owing her, owing to the fact that because of me her son Akiza died. I want to make it up to her my dear and there is only one way to do that, to present to her that which she
There was total hatred from Samata to the rest of those in the palace. She began to see everyone in the palace as the problem she had had. First she hated the King and vowed she wasn't going to have anything to do with him again, then she hated his advisers believing it was they who led him astray and then he hated Rimma whom she believed was responsible for the King's coldness towards her. As days passed by, days turned to weeks, weeks to months and after Samata gave birth to Akiza she decided she was going to kill the King by herself and upon killing him she would instill her son Akiza on the throne as crown Prince but she planned to kill him secretively, then kill Zakiza after some months or years and then install her son as crown Prince. The day she planned this she went to the King's room to inspect it before the night came. At night she crept into the King's room and having met only him there, having planned to kill him alongside His wife and the new born baby Zakiza she didn't
The King of Akozo that night didn't sleep a bit. He didn't go to see Samata in her room and even if he had gone Samata wouldn't have opened the door for him for she was very angry with him that night. Rimma didn't say a word until when she was sure the atmosphere was conducive enough. "My darling. Why are you so shocked that you left your food unfinished in the dining?""My dear, I wasn't hungry anymore. You won't understand" said the King"I do understand and I understand that you are confused right now as to who to love most but that shouldn't be so, should it? You are married to both of us and we now have have children, I mean when she has...""That's not the issue Rimma, that's not the issue. I neglected that woman because she couldn't take it. I never thought it could be possible again but now everything has changed. She has taken in and it's just something else for me now. Here is what will happen right now; I will be going to meet with those who are going to advise me on what I
