The Chief Guard who escaped from the land of Diadoma found himself in a strange place and he dismounted the horse he had escaped with. He looked about him and walked to the stream that he saw. When Samata arrived the land of Dodo he headed straight to the godscave. But when she got there she was greeted by a sight that shocked her to the brim; there lying down at the mouth of the cave was the mother of magic who had died. Samata could not believe it at first but when she knelt before her cold body and felt it she cried out in pain. Her dragon could see her owner cry and he began to walk closer to her, bent over her to console her. Samata remained seated beside the corpse and knowing that she died out of a stab wound wondered who might have done this. She knew without having to be told that something that an enemy had done this. Her duty was to discover who did this. She knew also that it was time for the sisters of magic to assemble in the godscave and having been the first to discover the corpse it was left for her to begin to send the invitations through signals. Lomi was found dead on the mountain of Para where he and his army had had a clash with the army of Diadoma. The Diadomas hardly die and this have them an advantage.
