DrivenWhen Lume and the Chief Guard returned to where the Prophetess and Aromo were they could no longer find them. This annoyed the Chief Guard more than Lume had anticipated and she felt there was really truth in what the Prophetess had spoken concerning the Chief Guard. She looked at him for a while and spoke, "But you shouldn't be so much disturbed. They might be somewhere close in this place. Do we need to worry this much by now. We only need to look around" The Chief Guard looked at her angrily and turned to walk away but just then he stopped, turned to her once again and said, "Pray the Prophetess returns. having learnt how important you are to her she must return else I will have to take you with me and she, will be forced to look for me""You know, I have always neglected when the Prophetess spoke of her suspicion of you. I thought she was being too serious with our mission but if I may ask; why do you feel you need her more than you need me? Are you not supposed to be conce
The Prophetess having found that Aromo would soon finish her up, having not the power of her own she called on the god of the earth and just then she was taken up and of the presence of Aromo. IAromo looked around her and realising that the Prophetess was gone struck her palm on the ground and she too disappeared into thin air. When the Prophetess was released by the wind she fell to the ground in a strange place and when she sprang up she saw the god of the earth standing before her. She immediately went down on her knees and kept mute. "You need to get back to Lume and to present yourself by the Chief Guard else your mission is uselessed" He then disappeared. The Prophetess rose immediately and while she ran she was carried up by the wind and brought to where Lume was tied to a tree and when she turned she saw the Chief Guard standing with a long stick in his hand. "What the hell are you trying to do?!" she asked out of anger."Very well, so you came back. I thought you were gone
The man inside the chamber of Cury then raised the staff up and hit the pointy end to the ground and that instance he fell dead. Having seen he was dead and having known that she had been disentangled from the powers of the staff Cury left the palace of Diadoma at once. *****Amanda and Khal found a cow rearer and helped him water his cows. The man helped them by giving them some bread and some water. Khal drank his water like a hungry animal and passed it to Amanda. Amanda drank and for a while she felt like she had taken in something strange into her stomach. She looked at Khal and Khal himself who was staring at her questionably was the first to fall flat on the ground. It then downed on Amanda that the cow rearer had poisoned the water which he gave to them. She stood up to confront him but she too fell and fainted. The cow rearer then walked up to them holding the rope that held his horse, he then picked up the staff which Amanda had held from the palace of Samata. He looked at
"You?" Aromo who stood up was shocked to see Cury staring eyeball to eyeball with her."I'm not here for trouble" said Cury."Are you not now? Where is your staff, the one you took from our mother before or after killing her?" At that point Cury knew Aromo was going to fight her but she wasn't ready for that kind of fight. She had heard alot about Aromo, especially during the time she was still under the care of the mother of magic. Once the mother of magic had told Cury, "But what I'm telling you this night is that despite the fact that I love you I still will not be able to give to you what I have given to some of your sisters whom you don't even know. They carry enough power in them and they can do some things you can't do my dear. Some of their names are Samata from the land of Akozo but lives here in Dodo. Another is Aromo who is from this land of Dodo and very powerful too, but not as powerful as Samata. I tell you this so you will have to respect them, not to fear them but to
The Prophetess of Dodo sat on the ground and wept bitterly after Abi left them. The Chief Gaurd who fainted after Abi left his body sat up on the ground, dusting the back of his head and feeling pains all over his body. He couldn't remember anything that happened. He looked back and forth and saw Lume and the Prophetess. He rushed to Lume and untied her from the tree where she had been tied. He then rushed to the Prophetess and helped her to stand up. When she had stood up she walked up to Lume and held her hands. "I know that you are stressed and you need some rest. Come with me and with the one with us, that we may go to a village called Akog. I have heard that they are a peaceful people. Even though they have been in great conflict with the people of Dodo due to the offense caused them by the sisters of magic I believe they won't chase us off. What we need is where we can stay, whom we can stay with and trust" Lume waited for her to finish before she hugged her. The Chief Guard sto

When Amanda walked out of the room she met the two men standing there where she had left them to go speak with the diviner's wife. When the diviner saw her he looked at her hand and saw the key to his inner chamber in her hand. He wondered how she got it from his wife."You convinced her?" He had to ask. Amanda nodded then threw the key to him and he caught it. The diviner then led the way and the rest followed suit. When they had gotten into the inner chamber where the diviner carries out his divination Amanda sat down and her mind went to Khal whom she had left in the palace of Akog. She waited for the diviner to be through with his incantations before she went on, "I have come that you may help me check what other things this staff can do?" The man then collected the staff from her and looked at it for a while before he chuckled. "I told my friend here when he first brought this staff to me, I told him that it is no ordinary staff. Having seen that you yourself have come to ask wha
"Why are you so scared? I mean you shouldn't be" Amanda was saying."I shouldn't be?" Khal realised himself and withdrew from her a bit."Yeah you shouldn't be. I'm big enough to take care of myself" She sat and Khal went to the windows, staring out of it, yet his mind was fixed on what she just said to him. He just realized he cared about her not because they escaped the palace of Samata together because there had become a bond created between them. If he was the only one feeling that bond then he was in for a big problem. This did not bother him much as he hissed and left the room. Amanda stared at him as he banged the door behind him and gnashed her teeth. *****In the land of Akozo, Samata had had to wait for the return of Dinka. She could ask herself several questions at a time, wondering if it was possible that Dinka could defeat the people of Diadoma and come back to her with Amanda and her pregnancy. As she sat there she began to hear the sound of trumpets. The army had retur
