Chapter 3

Lonan looked surprised at the blue screen in front of him. This was very strange. He did not understand what was happening. But he seemed to be considering the writing on the blue screen. His chest was getting sore, and he was on the verge of unconsciousness until he painstakingly touched the 'yes' button.

Lonan's eyes widened. This seemed strange. He really did get an extra three minutes of breath. His body felt more refreshed than before. He no longer felt even his chest, which was sore and tight. Furthermore, he thought he could now breathe like he was in the air.

He was still trying to stay still in the water. He looked at the clock on his hand, which showed that it was still at the four-minute mark, which meant that he had to surface in one minute. He did not even feel the difficulty like in the first minute.

Actually, Lonan still didn't know what was happening. He blinked a few times, no longer seeing the blue screen again.

Meanwhile, some people were still busy with their cell phones, recording Lonan's crazy actions. But they realized that Lonan only had a few seconds left.

"Hey, why isn't he showing up soon?” A woman wearing a red bikini spoke in a loud voice. Her eyes scanned the side of the pool where Lonan had dived earlier.

Some people looked tense, but others seemed unconcerned about Lonan's condition. They didn't even think Lonan would make it this far.

Time was ticking away, but Nancy didn't care at all. She folded her arms and waited for Lonan to come up with his defeat.

"He really hasn't shown up yet. Even in a little while, the time will be over." A man standing beside Nancy spoke. His gaze was fixed straight towards the pool.

Nancy glanced sarcastically at her friend who had just spoken. "Why are you worrying about him? I even think he's dead." a small chuckle sounded as he ended his speech.

"Is that true? But what exactly is going on with that guy in there? He's not even giving any signs. Could he have survived for five minutes?" Another woman asked curiously. She did not take her eyes off the pool at all.

Danish shook his head. "Are you kidding me? Who could hold their breath in a pool for five minutes? That's an absolute impossibility. "

"I guess it's true that he died down there. He's a stupid man. He was willing to get a little money in exchange for his life." Danish spoke again. He didn't even care if Lonan was really dead.

Five minutes had passed. The moment a woman realized it, she immediately shouted.

"Is he really dead?" The man by the pool spoke loudly. Everyone looked at him anxiously.

"That could have happened. It's even past five seconds, I think she's unconscious in there." The woman in the red bikini spoke up again. She was still faithfully holding her cell phone and recording everything that happened. Apparently, the woman was screaming. Some people watching live were also worried and started typing comments in the comment section.

"What are you waiting for? Go check on him." Danish shouted, giving orders to his partner.

The man beside Danish nodded. He prepared to enter the pool, but at exactly five minutes and ten seconds, Lonan came out of the pool.

For a moment, everyone was silent. They were transfixed by Lonan finally accomplishing the Mission. As for Danish and Nancy, they were shocked when Lonan succeeded.

Nancy rounded her eyes at Lonan. "This can't be!"

Holding one's breath for five minutes underwater was impossible for an ordinary man to do. At first, Danish and Nancy had hoped he would lose and humiliate Lonan in front of many people. But Lonan even showed up in five minutes or so.

Everyone was staring at him in awe. A woman walked over. She shined her cell phone at Lonan. "Lonan, you are so great. He can actually stay underwater for five minutes. That's amazing."

The woman's comment section filled up again. Some people also witnessed something amazing.

Several people immediately walked up to Lonan. "I thought he was going to die silly, but he's really good."

The blue screen came back into view. As he looked at the few people in front of him and did not show any reaction, Lonan was sure that only he could see the System.

Lonan stared at the notifications that appeared one by one. He read them very carefully. The System made him feel slightly confused, but he ignored it momentarily.

Lonan looked back at Nancy and Danish. They did not immediately give Lonan what he should have received at this time. "I have done what you wanted. Where's the money?" He put his hand back in front of Nancy with a stern face.

She only wanted something bad to happen to Lonan with Lonan's defeat. Actually, she did not want to spend that much money.

The streaming event on the woman's cell phone wearing the red bikini was still going on. The woman was also highlighting the debate between Lonan and the couple. Some viewers also looked in that direction and realized something.

"You should have given the money immediately." Lonan gave him a stern look.

Danish felt angry when Lonan demanded the money again. Then he clenched his fists and spoke, "Damn it! I knew that, of course, you were cheating in there. There's no way you could have done all this without cheating." Danish made an accusation.
