Chapter 5

"Ah, why should I think about that? Forget all this." Lonan shook his head. He tried to get rid of the bitter taste. Of course, Lonan no longer needed a betrayer like them. "I will get through this, and of course, they will be sorry for dumping me." This time, his face looked more stern...

Lonan had already gotten the money, and now he was thinking of becoming famous to easily get likes and viewers on the Stream. That way, he would get his reward back.

"But how do I do that?" Lonan exhaled. Her face showed confusion.

Lonan immediately got up, this time he was in front of the door and looked at his father's sleeping face. That face still looked very pale because his father had just undergone a five-hour surgery. He had also received news from the doctor that his father was recovering. He was relieved that his father had made it through his critical period.

He looked at his body reflected in the mirror, his tired face clearly visible. "It seems that I should go home and change my clothes. I also need to rest for some time."

Lonan got up from his place, exited the hospital, and walked towards one designated resting place.

He had been standing in front of the small flat where he lived. For a few days, and after his bankruptcy, Lonan had no choice but to stay there. It was much better than wandering the streets.

Breathing could be heard before he finally lay down on the narrow space. "I'd better get some rest." He muttered softly and began to close his eyes.

He had just closed his eyes when suddenly a very loud knocking sound made Lonan have to force open his eyes. That felt very sleepy.

"Who's outside?" He muttered softly. But before he could move, there were several more strong knocks.

"Hey, you! Damn it! Open this door quickly!" The baritone voice sounded very loud. Lonan recognized that voice very well.

"You've been late in paying for two weeks. Don't keep hiding! If you can't pay, you'd better come out and suffer the consequences." The baritone voice came back as the pounding on the door grew louder.

Lonan felt his headache. He had just fallen asleep, but some people came and disturbed him. Lonan was forced to drag his body slightly to get out and open the door. He even had trouble standing in the narrow room. Until finally when the door opened, a pair of female and male faces looked at him sharply.

Lonan knew those two people very well, he was the owner of the flat, where Lonan lived.

They had annoyed and irritated looks on their faces. The man spoke again when Lonan had just gotten up and stood before them. "This is not an orphanage for poor people like you. Either pay up or leave here. But before that, you have to settle the previous payment." the man shouted, making his neck veins visible.

Lonan sighed and seemed to massage his head, which was in a lot of pain. Then he looked at the two men and spoke, "Yes, I will pay. One moment."

Lonan reached into his pants pocket but did not find his cell phone there. "Where's my cell phone?" Lonan muttered softly.

Lonan was still feeling the pain in his head that made him forget about his cell phone for a bit. But he soon remembered leaving his cell phone beside his pillow before falling asleep.

"Wait a minute, I'll patch up my cell phone." Lonan had just moved to turn around, but suddenly, his hand was immediately caught by the man with the creepy face.

"Don't you dare run away from me! I know you are a poor man who doesn't know himself." The man tightened his hand around Lonan's wrist. "I even know what happened to your father this time." He emphasized the word to Lonan.

The woman who was with the man also smiled. But his gaze looked intimidating then he spoke, "Yes, you can't run away from here. We even know that your father has been hospitalized, and you might not be able to pay the bills here. Remember, we will never give you any excuses, and don't expect us to love you." The short-haired woman gave him a sharp look.

"I will pay for it, so you don't have to worry," Lonan spoke calmly.

The woman sneered at him. "You're so arrogant. Aren't you already broke? Or did you just beg?" The woman gave him a probing look, but he quickly shook his head. "Ah, it's possible you've been stealing money to survive." She smiled mockingly.

"Poor people like you don't deserve to hang around like this. And I don't think you should bother working on your father's recovery either. Because death would be much better for your father." The man named Bruno emphasized that word to Lonan.

Lonan stared at him with piercing eyes. He immediately withdrew his hand and threw away Bruno's hand, holding him. Then, as fast as lightning, Lonan moved his index finger to point at Bruno's face. "Mr. Bruno, you better watch your language!" The voice was full of emphasis.

Lonan's eyes were red, showing great anger. Of course, he did not like it when people deliberately said bad things about his father.

Bruno pushed Lonan's hand away firmly, but before Bruno could speak, Lonan spoke again, "You shouldn't have said that. Even all this time, I've always paid my bills on time. And I will continue to pay them as well." Lonan gave an affirmation.

Some days, Lonan was quite depressed because of his father's deteriorating condition, and trying to find the money for his father's surgery, he was late paying the bills for two Sundays. He had to go to several of his relatives' houses to find a source of funds to help his father's situation.

Bruno was so annoyed that Lonan dared to speak to him in a high voice. He raised his hand and wanted to give Lonan a hard slap, but Lonan immediately restrained his hand and threw it away.

Lonan quickly grabbed his cell phone that was next to his sleeping pillow. Then, he made a payment transaction to them. "Look, I paid for it." Lonan showed the receipt she had just made.

Bruno looked at him, but he was not satisfied. He approached Lonan and spoke, "You are so very arrogant. Don't think that just because you've paid it off now doesn't mean you don't owe us. Remember, you've been late with your payment for two weeks, and of course, you must pay. a fine."

Lonan frowned. He did not even know about the fine. But before he could ask, Bruno spoke again, "Lonan, you have to pay three thousand dollars to us. That way, you no longer have any arrears to us."

That made Lonan quite surprised. He even lived here with only one thousand dollars in rent, so how come he had to pay another three thousand dollars? Lonan shook his head. "Why are you saying that? I only rented this place for one month, and you're asking me to pay three thousand dollars late? This is not in the rules at all." Lonan spoke firmly.

Bruno smiled slightly. He certainly did not care about that. "This is my place, and I'm the owner here. So it's up to me to charge you a fine."

The heated incident made the blue screen appear again. Lonan looked at it and saw an inscription.

[Streaming System Triggered]

[Mission: Humiliate them to get a defense]

[Stream]

Lonan stared and read the few words on the screen carefully. Then he looked at his cell phone, and he immediately opened it. Lonan saw an app and thought of streaming immediately, but he was quite confused about how he would do it.

Lonan saw a new app on his phone. It looked bigger and flickering. Finally, he hesitantly pressed the red application on his phone until the streaming system suddenly appeared.

[Streaming Begins]
