Eagan walked towards the back of the female hostel and saw five women battling with the few zombies with sticks. Most of the zombies were already dead due to the noise he made the other time to attract them. Preya and Princess shoot at the zombies, careful not to hit the teachers.
Once all the zombies were killed, the teacher breathed out, relieved they were finally safe. They ran towards the student to check if any of them were hurt or bitten, but they were all acceptable, to their relief." Thank you for rescuing us; we have been reaching out to the government, but we haven't heard anything from them, so we thought they weren't going to send rescuers to us," explained a female teacher who had on a pair of blue jeans and a pink top, looked to be in their mid or late 30s." We aren't from the military," Eagan said for the nth time since they began to rescue survivors."Oh"" Don't worry. We are not going to harm you either."" I don't think you'll tell us if you want to," someone murmured, but Eagan heard." ..."Some of the girls suddenly began crying, which startled the team that had come to rescue them, Ian, especially as he doesn't do well with calling people."What is wrong? "Priya asked, and a girl sniffled and said, " Sorry, it's not you guys; it's just overwhelming to know some of these zombies were my classmates and teachers."Another replied and spoke." I thought I was going to go in there."" I was scared of turning into a zombie."The teachers consoled the girls with Preya and Princess; Shannon was as awkward as the men on the team and couldn't help calm them, so she stood there silently with a solemn face." You are safe now; once we get to the base, you won't have to see the zombies anymore."" we'll still have to check the classrooms for survivors, so please come with us to the bus," Eagan said and began leading the way."Can we come with you?" One of the teachers asked" You mean to check the classrooms?""Yes"" No, you can't come with us; it'll be a hassle to look after you guys; there are people on the bus who will protect you," Eagan explained." Oh ok"They took the female survivors to the waiting school, where they met some male students, but the team that went to get them wasn't there." Where is Adam" Eagan asked" They sent back these guys, but they haven't come back."" That uncle said he was going to check the classrooms with the male teachers," A teenage boy who looked to be fifteen or sixteen replied; he wore a pair of gym clothes and a headset." I'll get to save up my good ammo; I'm a little bit disappointed that there weren't any evolved zombies today," Shannon saidThe student who heard looked shocked and asked."Do zombies evolve?""Yes, they do, we have only seen one so far, though, and it was a tough fight, but we won!" Silver bragged, and Eagan sighed about his best friend's silliness." Don't sigh at me, you asshole! I have killed 72 zombies today; how many have you killed?" Silver asked, even though he knew pretty well he was the one losing.' System, how many zombies have I killed?"THE HOST HAS KILLED A TOTAL OF 259 ZOMBIES'That much?'YOU WENT ON A KILLING SPREE; I'M QUITE IMPRESSED AT YOU TRYING HARD TODAY.'I always try my bestNO, YOU DON'T. YOU ALWAYS TRY TO DEPEND ON THE SYSTEM"..."Before Eagan could reply to Silver and ruin his mood thoroughly, Shannon answered, " I stopped counting when his kills reached one hundred and thirty-two, and that was before we came here; in the female hostel, we wiped out all zombies in sight and are done by he, Ian and Jess. There were over fifty of them, so please add it up yourself," Shannon explained, and Eagan looked at her in awe; he was planning to give him a snarky remark but having someone count the kills was impressive.HOW I WISH THE HIST WAST THAT"...""Damn! I have to practice more! I'll catch up with your just wait and see, and you, Shannon counting the only you were doing? How could you?""I don't mean to ruin the happy atmosphere, but we got intruders" Light, sitting on the bus, pointed to the school entrance, where zombies started pouring in, in waves." Why are they suddenly gathering? "" We didn't even make any noise!""Our smell attracts them as living humans since we are more.""Damn it! Give me a break, you ugly fuckers!"" All students and teachers get into the bus, close the doors and windows until instructed; otherwise, if you are out of Ammon, reload quickly, and if you don't have an extra halo, others fill when needed, "Eagan Instructed"Your Uncle thought you well; you are a smart thinker like he is."" Is this time to make comparisons?"'System upgrade the weapon for my teammate.'The SYSTEM WILL USE 500 POINTS TO UPGRADE THE WEAPONS FOR THE HOST'S TEAMMATES TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL; FLEXIBILITY AND ACCURACY HAVE IMPROVED.Upgrade COMPLETE!"We just have to hold them off till the captain and his team are back, and we can leave this place."Princess, Preya, Silver, Eagan, Shannon, Matt, Teo, and Yesuf climb the bus and shoot at the incoming zombies, stopping them from getting closer to the bus. The horde of zombies gathered was over a hundred; it was like all the zombies in the neighborhood gathered in the school. The more they killed, the more the zombies poured in!"This is so annoying; they keep coming."" It's a time like this. I wish zombies have a fucking brain.""No one with a brain would go where they'd get killed knowingly.""We are outnumbered!""We'll just continue shooting them until the captain returns, and we'll find a way out."Eagan borough out a grenade from his pocket and threw it at the horde; it exploded and reduced their number." Why didn't I think about that?!" Silver asked and did the same" Because you don't think, "Eagan replied"..."Each person had two grenades, and they threw them at the horde while being careful not to throw them close to the bus and farther away from the entrance to avoid casualties.ALERT! ALERT! THERE IS AN EVOLVED ZOMBIE NEARBY! ALERT! ALERT! THERE IS AN EVOLVED ZOMBIE NEARBY! "There is an evolved zombie close by," Eagan told his comrades. "You are kidding, right?" "No way, Shannon has jinxed it with her mouth!" "Do you remember when we were fighting the level two zombie yesterday? And then it called screeched to call reinforcement? Yeah, I think that is what is going on now," Eagan explained. " But we aren't fighting any .... Captain!" Realization dawned on them, and they groaned " Will there still be my survivors in the classrooms?" "I wouldn't know; we need a radio to communicate freely in combat; they probably won't have time to pick up an actual call." Light pointed at the incoming horde of zombies and asked, "would we have time to make a call?" While they were busy killing the zombies to prevent them from entering the school, Adam and his team faced off with the evolved zombie. "Fuck! This one is even more freaking difficult than the one we met
Like always, Eagan went through the normal speech process; a total of one hundred and five survivors were added to them and their total number summed up to two hundred and twenty plus the newborn baby. It's still a long way to go to reach the total capacity of people needed to fill the base capacity, but it is a good start. Everyone got registered, some high school students volunteered to be on the cleaning team, some girls joined the farming team, and the boys and the teachers volunteered to be on the combat and rescue team. The Doctors were also assigned to their posts: dentists, pediatrics, cardiologist, and even we're doctors dealing with internal organs. The doctors also agreed to train some of the high school students who were interested in medicine. After their registration, they were told about the rules and regulations of the base. Adam particularly emphasized the rewards and the punishment, letting them know that their base wasn't a lawless place where anyone could do any
WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRAIN WITH THE BATTLE GOLEM? After placing it in the training room connected to his room, the golem asked. The battle golem was almost a foot taller than Eagan's five-eight; the golem's body was made of steel and was hard to touch. "No," he replied, he was too tired to train that night, and he had to meet Nina and Naina to discuss some things before going to sleep. 'I'm so tired I wish someone could take over from here,' he thought. As he was heading back to his room, he saw silver coming into his room with two cups of milk like the day before. "Dude, don't you get tired, or are you made of steel or something? Did you go to train even after a long day of killing zombies?" Silver asked in disbelief as he handed him a cup of milk. "I didn't go to train; I just went in there to drop something," Eagan replied and began drinking his milk. "I know as have to get stronger and all but you can't do that if you are disabled or sick because of stress; what I'm trying to s
A slight knock came on the door, and Nina said, " Hello, Eagan; you invited me" Nina smiled as she walked in. " Yes, please come with me" he stood up from the bed and pressed the button that headed to the control room. "Oh, I'm surprised this place exists; I have never heard about it, not seen it in the general plan; how did you find it?" Nina asked as they climbed the stairs " I saw a note that directed me." As they entered the control room, Nina noticed Naina sitting on the chair while typing away on the computer. "Someone is here; who is that?" Nina whispered to Eagan; he chuckled and teased her, "You sound like a jealous girlfriend." Nina gave him a disapproving look, and Eagan raised his hands in surrender. " Okay, Okay! That's Naina; she's the one in charge of this place; hey Naina, meet Nina," Eagan called out to Naina, who was so engaged in what she was doing that she didn't two notice the two walks into the room. " She is like me," Nina said and approached Naina, who h
"What do you think about the shooting? I have improved, haven't I?" Silver asked Eagan; they were both sitting on top of the bus, keeping watch over the surroundings as the other teams went into the nearby houses to check for survivors. Not all came out today as they are training them to work in teams and get used to a small number of scavengers instead of the usually huge numbers that go out daily. "You could use some improvement," Eagan said frankly. " Would it kill you to compliment me? Of course, I'm aware I need a lot of improvement, but at least you could have said something like, 'oh, you did well' or ' you are impressive!' humph, how am I friends with someone like you" Sliver said dramatically while folding his hands on his chest. "Would you rather have me lie to you?" Eagan asked "Of course not! But at least you could butter me up a bit." " I didn't know you were bread," he teased, and Silver smacked his back hard while yelling. " Fuck you, Eagan." They suddenly heard
One month later "Congratulations, you have completed the beginner-level training." Eagan sat down exhausted after training with the golem the whole night. "How many minutes did it take this time?" "I5 minutes and 3 seconds…you broke yesterday's record by 1 min." "Good; starting next, I'll begin trying with the intermediate golem. How many points do I have available?" "You have 35,907 points and 12-wheel tickets." "Saving it was the best…I can do more things with that," Eagan said, still sitting on the floor to catch his breath. "Yes, there are advanced-level weapons available to you now." "I'll leave the points for now…what is a silver record with the golem?" Eagan asked, curious about his best friend's progress. They had started trying a week apart. "Silver has not beaten the golem, but his movement and strength have increased this weak compared to the last," the system informed. "That's good news…he'll soon wake up for his training," he said and got up. It's been a month a
The bases that allied with their base were moved to the hospital, high school, church, and hotel, and they built strong and sturdy barricades around those places to keep the zombies out after clearing them. Each of the bases has at least fifty people in it; people with little children were moved to the main floor in case of a break-in of some sort; in exchange for the resources given to them, the combat team will go out to clear as many zombies as possible, while on the lookout for other survivors and with that been established the main base is ready to go "adventure" like Ian would say, into different districts. Eagan hasn't heard from his uncle in the past month, but he sent someone to bring them trucks full of ammunition to defend themselves and also a truck of foods with long shelf life Alongside a note that reads "Don't Die" which looks like it was written in a rush. Every time Eagan tries to call his uncle, his number is either switched off or out of reach or busy it is never
"Even though I haven't been staying here in the base much as I have to go out with others to rescue more people and also make sure there are enough supplies, the administrative personnel have always been diligent with their work, for those of you who didn't report to work for no reasons, your work hours will be doubled until further notice, I should cut down on your food supply but I won't, this should stand as a warning to all of you as you were all warned that you'll have to earn your stay if you'll be staying here. You are always free to leave if you aren't content with how the base runs. I'm sure other places won't mind having you. Remember, I owe you nothing, and I'm only doing this out of my free will; it didn't make me regret it. That is the end of the first segment of the meeting. If you have any disagreements or complaints, please voice them now," Eagan said and paused. If anyone had anything today or complaints, they kept it in them for fear of being chased out of the safety
