William arrived at the hospital with hurried steps, his heart pounding loudly. The atmosphere in the waiting room was silent, only the rustle of his quick steps on the clean marble floor could be heard. The dim lights created a gloomy atmosphere in the crowded hospital building.

When she entered the intensive care room, the scent of medicine mixed with the smell of disinfectant stung her nose. The room was full of medical devices installed around a bed decorated with all-white equipment. The spotlights on the ceiling provided a bright glow that contrasted with William's dark mood.

"Noah, I'm coming," William said in a trembling voice.

The doctor taking care of Noah approached him with cautious steps, his face serious as he gave the bad news. "I'm sorry, Mr. William Smith. We tried our best, but unfortunately Mrs. Noah Smith could not be saved. The four shots that hit her body lodged in her vitals," she said in a soft voice, sounding sympathetic to William's misfortune.
