72 The Attempt

Leo sat in front of the furnace in the living room holding a bottle of whiskey in his hands. The drink was untouched and he brought it to his lips a couple times as he sat there but he still didn't down it and he wasn't even sure why.

He suddenly got up and threw the glass into the furnace and felt a little bit relieved to hear the glass break and the flames roar up as he fed it the alcohol.

'Fuck you Terry' he thought to himself as he refused to acknowledge Terry Dubois as his father in his head.

He was worried about what the implications of it all meant and he knew his father wouldn't hesitate to strike him down if given the chance but he wanted to convince himself that he would do anything necessary to stop his father from achieving his malevolent goals.

'Of course if it comes down to it I'd gladly give him the killing blow to pay him back for all the hurt his actions have caused me in my a life' he thought to himself as he walked over to the bar and poured himself another dr
