A Trust

Max made a fist, putting all his strength into that fist. He lifted, then prepared. He was very close to the glass wall that stood between him and Gwen. Max punched it.

Nothing happened to the wall at first. The wall was too thick to be broken with a single punch. Max tried once more, the young man never gave up, for Gwen's sake he would try to break the wall and free Gwen from the strange place in the girl's mind.

"Hang in there, Gwen. I will destroy this wall!" Max promised Gwen. He didn't care if the back of his hand had to hurt and bleed. In the young man's mind was only the girl he had fallen in love with since that unexpected encounter at Gwen's grandmother's farm. Max again exerted his strength, driving his fist into the wall. Again and again, once more without letting up.

His determination was too strong, the blows continued unabated. "Max... hurry, I can't take it anymore!" The young man was getting more and more compassionate, there was a belief in him that he would be able
