Roland put out his cigar, told Valerie to stay in the car, and grabbed a metal bat. He then exited the car with his driver and the front passenger.

"Dad!" Valerie shouted, but Roland didn't look back.

Valerie wanted to leave the car, but Eric stopped her. "If you don't want to be a burden to your father, stay in the car!"

Valerie turned and asked, "If you're good at fighting, why don't you go help my dad?"

Eric glanced outside and saw the fight had already started. Calmly, he said, "Don't worry. Everything is under control."

Despite Eric's calm demeanor, Valerie couldn't shake her unease. The Pettersons had about 30 people surrounding their cars, including four skilled fighters. It was clear they were determined to deal with Roland tonight.
