Did Mason think she didn’t know what he was thinking?

She responded softly, “Let’s end it once and for all, Mason. That’d be better for both of us.”

He blinked gently. Instead of answering her immediately, he lit a cigarette by the window, but he snuffed it out halfway through.

Then, he said, “Do you hate me this much? Are you not going to give me one last chance? Fine, then! I guess it’s better if we cut ties completely!”

In the end, they agreed on a five hundred million settlement. That’d mean Zoe would get a total of two manors, four apartments, and the aforementioned amount of money. On top of that, she’d get Liam’s legal contract for Noah’s case.

Mason proceeded to add the amended clauses to their divorce agreement. He signed it quickly, worried that he might change his mind if he didn’t do it fast enough. The ink from the pen almost permeated through all of the pages of the agreement.

He couldn’t bring himself to see it when it was Zoe’s turn to sign.
