Silence hung over the presidential suite.

Lisa pondered a little before saying, “I’ll take care of Yanni for the time being! She’s in no condition to take care of the baby, anyway!”

Then, someone opened the suite’s door.

Layla stood at the door with tears in her eyes. She came in and went on her knees before Mason.

She said tearfully, “It’s my fault, Mr. Mason. I picked up the call in the study because I was worried it might disturb Ms. Zoe's rest that day. However, I didn’t understand what the person on the other end of the phone was saying and I had something on my mind too. So, I hung up.

“Then, I forgot to tell Ms. Zoe about it. I swear, I’m the one who picked up the phone that day. Ms. Zoe didn’t mean to keep it from you! She’s innocent. It was my fault!”

Layla was old and she had worked in his manor for a long time. Zoe had been treating her rather well all this time. She was so guilty and frantic over her own actions that she started slapping both of her cheeks.
