Whose fault?
Dorothy stared at Laquan and he also stared back at her.

"Whose fault is this one?"she asks.

"Yours. If you hadn't delayed us,we would have.."

"No. It was yours. If you hadn't been a scholar,we.."

"Nope. It was purely yours. If you hadn't said that.."

"It was your fault for being so dense."

"No. You were the one being too rash with your decision."

They accused themselves.

They were both in the palace's prison.

"If we had left home earlier,the palace messengers wouldn't have found us at home. Your gluttony self implicated us here."Laquan expounded.

"If you hadn't been a scholar, would the emperor have noticed you?. Would he have sent guards to the house?"she attacked him back.

"If you hadn't get out of the house and talk to the guards brazenly,then we wouldn't have been attached to the crime of not obeying or being rude to the emperor."he snorted.

"Well,if you had addressed them a little earlier, would I have done that."she tsk'ed.

They both remained quiet.
