As Anna's feet hit the floor of the basement, she quickly lifted the spell to counteract gravity, feeling only half of her well restored mental energy being drained again. After all, it was using a spell to resist the laws of physics, which was never easy.

"Anna?!" Esme Crane exclaimed.

That look sent goose bumps all over her body. What the hell was going on in this apartment building? Every room was empty, not a single person in sight. But there were strange runes painted above the floor of each room, and these runes were not just in the rooms, but also spread to the corridor outside, the entire floor board was enveloped in runes, eventually spelling out a huge spell formation. These runes formed a spell formation that was all painted with red paint, and when one looked with the Eye of Insight, they only felt that the entire formation was releasing an eerie red glow.
