Anna did not want to be in the limelight, nor did she want to deal with the nobles. Seeing that Professor Bobbington and Dr. Rutherford were already talking to some of the nobles, she immediately ducked out of the way and led her companions to an inconspicuous spot in the corner, deciding to follow the principle of "observing from the sidelines" this night and hiding quietly in the corner to see what the royal family and the nobles were planning.

"It's been fine, thanks for your concern." Mason responded.

"Just a colleague who didn't want to show his face." Anna's answer remained the same.

What kind of colleague would be reluctant to show up at such an occasion? You know this is a dinner hosted by the royal family, how many celebrities are gathered, it's the perfect time to make connections. How many people in this world would not show up at such an occasion? Besides, this night was not a masquerade ball, so wearing a mask to conceal one's appearance would be a bit rude.
