_ Avery’s dead family

With determination, he and Avery gathered the materials they had stowed away earlier: cardboard, a spray painter, and lamp stands and in a whim, they got to work.

The room felt cramped as they worked with the cardboard and spray painters first.

They laid the cardboard in three places and resorted to writing a S in th first, an O in the second and another S in the third one.

The spray painter hissed softly as Danny pressed the nozzle, leaving bold red letters on the cardboard.

Despite his weariness, he focused on creating a clear and visible SOS sign. Sweat trickled down his face, mixing with the dust on his skin.

Avery was there giving instructions and directions on how to make it bold and visible.

“A little bit more paint here, mate.” Avery would chirp his instruction and Danny would take heed.

Together, they were bringing the sign to life and it wasn't as hard as Danny thought it’d be.

As a matter of fact, he was enjoying it. It was like playing with a toy.
