The elevator doors opened to reveal a stylish and artfully decorated hallway that greeted Daniel as he stepped out. Paintings hung on the walls, each with its unique style, while sculptures were tastefully placed in every corner. The hallway's simple yet elegant design was carefully thought out, with clean lines and a muted color scheme that added to the sophisticated ambiance of the penthouse.
As Daniel approached his unit's door, he took out his key card to unlock it. However, he paused mid-insertion and retracted the card, suddenly struck with a thought. Setting his bags down beside the door, he took out his phone and opened the Grab app to order groceries. With a few taps, he selected some snacks and frozen goods and added a 5 kg sack of rice and a 1/2 kg bag of salt to the cart. Additionally, he ordered two appropriately sized containers to store the rice and salt.
He recalled his mother once mention that the first thing you put inside a new house when moving in is a container of rice and salt to ward off draught and financial hardship. Though he didn't necessarily believe in such superstitions, he decided to carry on the tradition.
Around 15 minutes later, the Grab driver arrived at the penthouse to deliver Daniel's order. He paid for it and gave the man a tip, thanking him for his quick delivery.
After the delivery guy left, Daniel took out the key card again and this time inserted it correctly, opening the door to his new home. He then took out the two containers from the grocery bags and placed them on the floor. He filled one with the 5kg rice and the other with 1/2 kg of salt. After filling them up, he picked up the containers and headed inside, making sure to place them somewhere safe before going back outside to get the rest of his things. Daniel chuckled to himself at what he had just done.
He returned to the hallway, where his bags still lay on the floor, waiting to be unpacked. As he started to lift them, he heard a loud crash, followed by a string of expletives from the other end of the hallway.
Concerned, Daniel walked towards the commotion, following the sound of rustling bags and muffled grunts. As he rounded the corner, he found a young woman with short, messy hair and a paint-stained shirt, frantically picking up art supplies that had spilled out of her paper bags. It was then that he realized she must be his new neighbor.
"Are you okay?" Daniel asked, approaching her cautiously.
The woman looked up, startled, and quickly wiped her hands on her shirt. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little clumsy," she said, forcing a smile.
"Let me help you with that," Daniel said in response. He then knelt down and started gathering the spilled supplies, placing them back in the bags.
The woman thanked him and they introduced themselves. Her name was Ellie and she was an artist who had just moved in a week ago next door. Daniel told her his name and explained that he had just moved in as well. They chatted for a few more minutes before parting ways, with Ellie thanking Daniel once again for his help.
After she had gone, Daniel went back to his bags and resumed unpacking. He took out his clothes, books, and other essentials, placing them in their designated spots.
Now that his things are unpacked, Daniel now toured his new home.
Daniel walked around the spacious living room, taking in the simple yet elegant furniture and decor. There was a comfortable-looking grey sofa, a coffee table, and a small TV mounted on the wall. The room was bathed in natural light, thanks to the large windows that lined the walls.
Next, he headed towards the kitchen, which was separated from the living room by a small island. The kitchen had basic appliances, such as a refrigerator, stove, and oven, all of which looked new. There was also a small dining table and chairs, perfect for intimate dinners or working from home.
As he walked towards the bedrooms, he noticed the large bathroom with a mini Jacuzzi. It was a luxurious addition to the already impressive penthouse. The bathroom was equipped with a shower, sink, and toilet, as well as a large mirror and plenty of counter space.
Finally, Daniel moved on to explore the bedrooms, curious to see how they were arranged. The master bedroom was the largest of the three, with a king-size bed taking up most of the space. The bed frame was made of warm wood, and the bedding was crisp white. Along one wall was a small wooden desk with a comfortable chair, and a closet door stood open, revealing ample storage space.
The other two bedrooms were smaller but still tastefully furnished. Each had a twin bed with a fluffy duvet, a matching bedside table with a lamp, and a desk that sat neatly under the window. Since Daniel would be living there on his own, he imagined converting one of these rooms into a personal office and a secret gaming room, while the other could be reserved as a cozy guest room for when friends and family came to visit.
Overall, Daniel was impressed by the quality of the furnishings and the attention to detail in each room. It felt like a comfortable and welcoming space, and he couldn't wait to start making it his own.
As he still had a few hours of free time before meeting up with Molly, Daniel decided to head to his kitchen to whip up a quick and easy lunch for himself. He opened his fridge, which he filled with the groceries he ordered earlier, and scanned its contents, looking for something to cook. He decided to make Tocilog for lunch paired with some ice-cold coffee.
Daniel pulled out a pack of tocino from the fridge and set it on the kitchen counter to defrost. As he waited, he put some rice in the rice cooker and measured out the water. Once the rice was cooking, he brewed some strong coffee and set it aside to cool.
After the tocino had defrosted, Daniel heated up a frying pan and started to cook it until it was slightly caramelized and crispy. He then cracked an egg onto the pan and watched as the white started to set. He didn't want to overcook the yolk, so he turned off the heat while the egg was still slightly runny.
By this time, the rice was done cooking, so Daniel transferred it to a bowl and left it to cool for a few minutes before frying it up with some garlic, onion, and soy sauce. Once the fried rice was done, he plated it alongside the tocino and egg.
Finally, he poured the cooled coffee over a glass filled with ice and added a splash of milk for a creamy touch. He sat down at the kitchen table to enjoy his homemade Tocilog meal and sipped on his refreshing iced coffee.
Daniel felt satisfied and was filled with anticipation for the rest of his day.
March 5, 2023, 1:00 PM - Vertis North, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines - Penthouse Unit 001After finishing his lunch and taking a refreshing nap, Daniel woke up feeling rejuvenated. He checked his phone for any new messages and found a message from Molly."Hey, Daniel. I'm on my way to Ayala Vertis Mall now," Molly said through chat via Facebook Messenger.Daniel replied to Molly's message, "Hey Molly, just woke up from a short nap. I'll be ready in a few minutes."Daniel thought about the motorcycle reward he just received from the system, and typed another message to Molly "By the way, where are you coming from? Do you want me to pick you up?"Molly quickly responded, "Thanks for the offer, Daniel. I live around Muñoz, Quezon City. It's just one ride away to Vertis North. I'll be fine.""Alright, See you then. Just let me know when you're almost here," Daniel replied. After their short conversation, Daniel made his way to the bathroom to freshen up. He took a quick shower and go

He turned, and there she was—Judee, walking towards him with JM by her side. It was the voice he had hoped to never hear again."Daniel? Is that you?" Judee's grin widened as she saw Daniel's discomfort. Her eyes sparkled with a mischievous glint.Turning, they both saw Judee walking towards them with JM by her side. Daniel felt a knot forming in his stomach as he forced a polite smile. "Hey, Judee. How are you?"Judee's grin widened as she saw Daniel's discomfort. "I'm doing great! Look, JM just bought me an Armani watch worth Php. 16,000!" She paused, noticing Daniel's watch. "Oh, I see you're still wearing that cheap watch. Some things never change, I guess."*Ding!*Suddenly, Sampaguita's robotic voice interrupted Daniel's thoughts."Major Mission
March 5, 2023, 4:30 PM - Vertis North, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines - Ayala Malls Vertis NorthAs Daniel strolled out of the Armani store with Molly, he felt a weight being lifted off his shoulders. For the first time in a while, he felt content and at peace with himself. He glanced down at the watch on his wrist, and a smile of satisfaction spread across his face. The watch did not define him, but it symbolized his newfound confidence and strength. He had purchased it not to flaunt his new wealth to Judee but because he genuinely liked the design of the watch. It was also a small way for him to prove to himself that he could be happy without someone who had caused him so much pain. As they walked, he couldn't help but think that he had been basing his happiness on external factors such as Judee and the things around him. That's why he felt crushed and helpless when those things were taken away from him. But now, he saw that true happiness should come from within. It was up to hi
March 5, 2023, 7:45 PM - Vertis North, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines - Penthouse Unit 001 Daniel finally arrived home, feeling exhausted yet satisfied from his day out with Molly. Together, they went shopping and bought new clothes, a new watch, and even a new journal notebook. Upon reaching his condo unit, he placed down the shopping bags, which he plans to sort out later, and took a moment to rest. After a while, Daniel rose and headed to the kitchen, where he brewed a refreshing cup of iced coffee. He carried his drink to the balcony and settled into a chair with his brand-new journal. As he savored his coffee, he reflected on his day and jotted down four things he was thankful for. Hello Journal, I'm not used to this, so please bear with me as I write down the things I'm grateful for today: 1. I'm thankful that I manage to start being active again. I plan to make it a regular habit to work out and prioritize my health. 2. I feel grateful to have met a friend like Molly.
March 5, 2023, 9:45 PM - Vertis North, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines - Penthouse Unit 001Daniel sat in bed, stealing a glance at the clock on his nightstand. It read 9:45 PM, and he had been trying to sleep for almost an hour. Despite his exhaustion, his excitement from his new workspace still pulsed through him, making it difficult to quiet his mind. Thoughts of the projects he could now work on and the prospect of working as a freelancer in advertising instead of being a full-time corporate slave brought a grin to his face. "Maybe having an iced coffee when I got home earlier wasn't such a great idea," he chuckled, still unable to drift off.So, he decided to get up and do something about his restless energy. He changed into comfortable jogger pants and a loose white shirt before heading down to the condominium gym. There, he hopped on the treadmill and ran for a bit, until his body started to relax. After his workout, he returned to his unit and stepped out onto the balcony to
March 6, 2023, 7:30 AM - Vertis North, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines - Penthouse Unit 001After ensuring that Ms. Ellie was settled in the guest bedroom, Daniel made his way to the gym to take care of most of his daily tasks. Over two hours later, he returned to his unit feeling slightly fatigued after his workout. As he walked into the living room, he was surprised to see Ms. Ellie emerging from the guest room, still appearing groggy and disoriented. When she noticed him, she spoke in a friendly yet drowsy tone, "Oh, Mr. Daniel. It's you? Did you need something?"Daniel smiled awkwardly and replied, "No, no. I just came back from the gym."Ms. Ellie, still piecing together the events from earlier, asked, "Did I leave my door open? Are you here to tell me?"Daniel gently explained the situation, "This is actually my unit. I found you unconscious outside and had to move you somewhere safer. I left a note beside the bed. Did you not notice?"Ms. Ellie realized her mistake, and her f

However, if you fail to complete the mission before the deadline, the capital will be retracted. The money will be deposited into your existing BDO account in a few seconds. March 6, 2023, 7:00 PM - Vertis North, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines - Penthouse Unit 001The day had been incredibly hectic for Daniel, far busier than he had anticipated. He had no idea that he would be starting a creative and advertising agency when the day began. He spent hours reaching out to people, contacting various businesses, and preparing for the launch of his creative and advertising agency. As night fell, Daniel finally had a moment to himself. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, savoring the quietness of his apartment. But even as he relaxed, he couldn't shake off the feeling of uncertainty that lingered in the back of his mind. Would his new venture be successful? Would he be able to handle the pressure and demands of running a business? To distract himself from these thoughts, Daniel got up and headed to the kitchen. He opened the fridge and scanned its contents before settling on a plump chicken. He took his time preparing the meat, marinating it with soy s
