Outside of the Castle Loren and those with him were preparing to leave as they set everything up.
King Vernon, Melanie, and a few others were there to say their goodbye to Loren.
“I wish you a safe trip my son.” his mother said as she held his hands secretly placing something in them.
“I hope you enjoy your time over there Loren and soon return home.”
King Vernon placed a hand on Loren's shoulder as he looked at his father and mother.
“Thank you both, I will be safe on the trip to the Raista Kingdom and when I return, I will be different along with my wife by my side.”
Loren then gave both of them a meaningful hug and then moved on to say his goodbye to the others.
When done saying his goodbye Loren enters inside the carriage that awaits him.
The carriage began moving once he was inside while it moved Loren took the chance to look at everyone who was there to see him off.
He even got the chance to see Queen Luann who was standing by a window.
Somehow Loren can feel and see the disgust and hatred on that woman's face.
“Even after 10 years has passed, the women still hold a great hate for me.”
“Does Loren care about the Queen's feelings?” Cecelia asks as she was inside the carriage with him.
Loren turns to face her.
“Not really, I thought, I should give the woman a chance to change, but it seems she will not and so when the time comes killing her would not mean a thing to me.”
“Big brother is such a cold-hearted person,” Angelina said playfully while leaning against his side.
“I have to be as you both know what I have been planning to do when I return within a year.”
Cecelia became sad when Loren said that.
“We know and that is why when that day comes we will be by your side to carry the heavy burden on you.
“And I will be deeply grateful to you all,” Loren said, smiling at Cecelia.
“I am glad that little shit will be gone for a year, but sadly he will return.”
The Queen said while watching the carriage take its leave.
“After all these years why have we not just killed Loren, do we not have the power to do so.”
Clark told his mother as she turns to face her son
“Of course we have power, you fool, but we can act with it because it makes things complicated for us. I have learned my lesson for doing such a thing.”
Queen Luann speaks the truth and has paid the price for trying to have Loren killed, one of her missing eyes is something to be an example of.
“I couldn’t believe a father would do that to you, I mean you are the man's wife for god sake.”
“Be glad our father showed mother that much mercy instead of taking her life.”
The two look to see Cesar making his way to them.
“What! I should be grateful that you do not care about what he did to her.”
“What he has done can not be forgiven, but there is no reason for us to move on to more important things.”
Clark was about to argue back to his brother, but his mother stopped him.
“Your brother right Clark we must pay attention to more important matters, so what do you know so far Cesar.”
“Well while I was there to see Loren off, I took close attention to what his mother put in his hand. There is something the two are hiding or to say she is hiding something.”
“We can already tell that her son is planning something against this kingdom, but what could be hiding is that she is too involved.”
Cesar thinks for a moment then answers his mother.
“For always keeping an eye on Loren, I might know how our brother thinks and plays things out like a game of chess, so to say I don’t think his mother knows of his plan.”
“Why do you have to call him that,” Clark asks with anger in his tone.
“Come now better are we not over that already no matter how much you deny it or wish it never happened Loren is and will be our brother.”
“It sickened me to be related to that thing brother.”
Cesar sighs as he doesn’t care about how Loren came to be by their father knocking up another woman, but it seems his brother and mother would not let go of that hate for the boy.
“Well let us leave this discussion for later, my sweet boys the walls have ears.” Queen Luann said.
Clark and Cesar understand what their mother means and decide to walk their serpent to do their own thing.
----------------------------------------
A few passed as Loren and the group began traveling on the road.
“Big brother what the matter,” Angelina asks, seeing Loren staring deeply out of the carriage window.
“Yes, I would like to know because you seem to be deeply thinking about something.”
Loren draws back to him and looks at the two girls, he knows he has no reason to hide anything from them.
“My mother, she has told me a dark secret she has carried on her own for a long time.”
“And what could it be,” Cecelia asks.
“The blood that flows within us is wicked and evil as it relates to her side of the family because we both are a part of a race of Necromancers.”
Cecelia was shocked to hear, but she could not believe him.
“Loren what you say sounds unbelievable, I mean Necromancy is a dark art that any being could learn if they mind to pay a price.”
“You're right it does sound that way, but my mother has no reason to make such a thing up and it makes sense to me now.”
“How big brother,” Angelina asks, now interested to know.
“When I was young I could listen to the cry of the dead even when I slept. They cry and call out to me in my dreams. There is also the hair she said that her people are sure of such a similar feature.”
Cecelia's attention was grabbed, but there was something bothering her and that was the hair thing.
“Loren, you said that the color of your hair is the same as theirs, but what about your mother?”
“My mother was the black sheep of her family; only her two brothers showed a talent for necromancy along with the hair.”
“That must have been hard for her to be only one different from her family and people.”
“Her life wasn’t too hard for her mother. My grandmother loved her even though she was different, the woman even gave her this ring while saying something to her before she left.”
Loren reached into his pocket to take out that ring with a skull head on it as it showed to the girls.
“The dead will watch and serve us in our time of need as we are the masters to the undead as our master is the God of Death.”
“That is an interesting word to say.”
“Yes it is interesting and I intend to learn more about my people as I wonder if they still exist.”
Right after that, there was a sound of something heavy hitting the ground.
“That could not be good.” Loren looked out the carriage window to see a cut tree laying flat on the ground blocking their way.
“I see we are being ambushed as I sense the souls of about 12 people, most likely bandits.”
Loren was correct once he said that 12 bandit men come out of hiding looking all happy to what they have caught today.
Oh, on his side there are only 7 guards with him including the dark elf girl.
“Oh and we were having such a lovely time on the ground together,” Cecelia complained.
“Don’t worry Cecelia's day is not ruined they are just bandits who can be easily dealt with.”
Loren looked at the dark elf Enidut Pathwarrior who was on a horse the two made eye contact with.
“My dear Enidut Pathwarrior, would you kindly show me how well you are in combat?”
“I certainly will, but do I get a reward for performing so well to you Loren.”
Loren smiled at her then spoke.
“If you show me how well you perform as a reward, you and I get to spend a day together.”
“What!!?.” Both the girls in the carriage yelled at the same time.
“Alright, I'll take it! As I hold you to it.”
Enidut Pathwarrior gets off her horse, taking out her long sword and shield.
Thanks to all that training with captain Jordan she has become a master with a sword and shield.
Enidut Pathwarrior has become the best among the king men that train under the captain even his son and daughter can not compare to her.
Hell, even captain Jordan offered her a job to serve in the king's army, he believed that girl could rise high in ranks.
Yet turn it down because the only person she would serve is Loren.
“Alright, you guys I am going to make this quick because I got a future date with the one I love.”
Enidut Pathwarrior stands against 8 Bandits as 3 of them are on top of trees with their arrow aimed at her. Yet Loren knew that already, so he moved to whisper in Angelina's ears. That girl quickly understood and began exiting out of the carriage to take care of those guys. Not long everyone can hear the sound of those guys screaming in agony. Loren guards and the Bandits can feel chilies all over their bodies from hearing those screams. After that 3 dead bandits were thrown in between Enidut Pathwarrior and the rest of the Bandits. Angelina was on top of the carriage laughing with bloo
The celebration began where everyone was gathered together talking, eating, and drinking.Loren was alone standing against a wall from everyone holding a cup in his hands and Angelina was at his side.He wanted this way after having to spend time talking with the king and queen.“Loren, my future brother-in-law, why are you standing by yourself?” Hannah's brother asked.“Ah Nelson I am not alone, I have my dear Angelina with me,” Loren tells him as he pats the girl on the hand.“Forgive me I did not notice it is lovely to meet you Angelina and I must say it is my first time meeting a demon face to face.”&nb
Alone in a room together, Loren has just shown his dark secret to king Garland and is studying the dark arts Necromancy. “You…. you are a Necromancer.” King Garland was shocked to see. Yet Loren accepted this type of reaction from the man and wanted to move on from this part to more important parts of this discussion. “Yes, I have been secretly studying to raise and control the dead. This is the way to help your kingdom.” “Are you mad Loren do you honestly think? I would accept that Necromancy is a forbidden magic; those who learn it are no longer seen as
Deanna Copeland, a library worker, has just told Loren that she has been studying about his mother's people which he has been trying to do in the library, but no such luck. “Interesting to know that a librarian is studying about people who live a life with the dead. Could it be that you want to learn Necromancy?” “No, that is not my interest, only knowledge is what I care for, and learning about anything new or from the past brings a certain excitement to me.” Loren began to smile as he believed that he might have found a very special ally, someone he can seek out for help when it comes to knowledge. “So you are studying them only to learn about them, nothing more than that Deanna.”
On nightlies an innocent village filled with men, women, children, and the elderly. This is where these people live and not far from them is a small army of men equipped with armor and a weapon. These men have come to attack this innocent yet in their hearts, they are not sure they can do it. Loren can see that as he is at the front on his horse along with King Garland. “Do you truly think these men would do it because I take a look at them and see they may not be up to the job?” “They will do it, I have picked these men and promised them a reward for what they give to them.” “Yet do yo
Loren looked at the dead Villagers lying before him; there were adults, children, and the elderly. No one was spared tonight as that is what he wanted to be. “Loren.” He looked to see who was calling him. Enidut Pathwarrior, Cecelia, Diloar Swordcarver, and Angelina were making their way to him. Loren sees only two of them carry a few dead villagers that must have tried to escape. Sadly these poor souls never had the chance when it comes to Loren's close friends. “That is all of them as there are no others who have tried to escape.” Loren opened his eyes to the light of the sun as it made its way inside the cave he was in. While awaking he notices Angelina sleeping against his side. “Good more master.” Dlioar Swordcarver greets him. Loren sees that he was about to step out of the cave to hunt for breakfast for them to eat after stepping all last night cutting flesh from undead to fully skeletons. “Going out for a hunt my friend.” “Yes, I thought it would be nice to hunt food for you and Angelina.” “Then why do all of us do it together like back home?” Loren gets up, waking Angelina as well. I am the King of the Undead Ch 18: I always think ahead of others
“Damn him!.” Hannah yelled out in anger. “What the matter my dear.” her mother asked while they were having breakfast together along with her half-brother. “So she must be upset with her future husband.” Nelson sided while eating his breakfast. “Oh my, that is not good to be fighting with each other so early as you two will get married one day.” “We are not fighting mother as my dear Loren is not even here if you have not noticed.” “Oh, then why are you mad at him then?” “That is because he is not trying to get to know me since we only talk to each other on the day he comes. I hav
