Chapter 3-I am Thor Benedict

Denver thought about Nano's words seriously. He didn't want to make the wrong decision. He had just planned to own a house from his earnings during his time as CEO. However, after only half a day in office, he was already dead. What bad luck!

But, what Nano said was true, if he wanted revenge. However, with Thor Benedict being a thug, was it possible? Another thought was that he had no purpose. All this time, he lived alone until his life gradually improved when he worked with Stanton.

He used to have parents. His mother died of illness. Strangely, he doesn't remember what happened to his father. The sister at the orphanage told him that his father had died. Denver then lived in the orphanage until he was declared independent.

[Your life from now on has changed, Denver Xander. You are now Thor Benedict. The system chose you because you are an adaptable man. Smart and unyielding. You're good at finding opportunities when push comes to shove. In addition, your main goal of the Idol system is to make Thor Benedict a top idol]

Denver was dumbfounded until his mouth gaped wide. “What did you just say? An idol? A singer? An actor? A public figure?” asked Denver with certainty.

[That's right. Thor Benedict had dreams of becoming an idol, but his aspirations were dashed, and he fell into the black world instead. Your main mission is to make him an idol. The system will give you the grand prize when you achieve the system's ultimate goal]

Denver felt his head getting dizzy and heavy. Unable to think clearly, he decided to lay down on the grass by the roadside. His eyes looked up at the night sky dotted with stars in silence.

“System? Idol? Thug? Switching bodies? What sins have I committed that I have to live this life?” Denver muttered as he rubbed his face with both hands.

[I, Nano will guide you to your goal. For every thing you do to get closer to Thor's goal of becoming an idol, the system will reward you accordingly]

“If I accept it, what should I do?” asked Denver, still struggling to accept reality.

[Mission one. You must make the people who regard Thor Benedict as the scum of the earth into a respected man. Targets to be achieved, not limited. Duration of mission: 1 week. The system will award cash prizes according to the number of people who successfully change their perspective on Thor Benedict]

Instantly, Denver sat down. He thought seriously about Nano's words about his first mission.

“How do I know if those people are my targets? Then... how do I know if those people don't like me? I mean... Thor Benedict?”

[You will be able to see it when you meet potential targets. Above their head, a star will appear. Your task is to make five stars light up as a sign that you have successfully made a positive change in Thor]

“Hem, this is interesting. I'll give it a try,” replied Denver who felt that the mission given by the idol system was not the sort of mission that would put his life at risk or get him caught up in an undercover crime. Unfortunately, this was just the beginning. Denver did not yet know the system's plans for him. “So ... where should I look for a target?” asked Denver excitedly as he walked towards the motorbike.

[The place you're looking for is freed by the system. The first mission starts now]

Denver, who didn't want to waste any time, rushed to get on the motorbike. It's just that, his head hurts, making him reluctant to wear a helmet. He just realized that the big motorbike he was riding had luggage on the left and right sides. Denver opened it and found some clothes, soap, a pocket knife and a gun.

“What!” he screeched in surprise as he held the firearm, but then put it back in the boot immediately.

Denver, who was holding a gun for the first time, immediately closed the trunk. His heart was beating fast because he didn't expect to find it there. Denver calmed his heart again. He walked to and fro with an uneasy feeling.

For the first time in his life, he had to live a destiny like this. He had never dreamt of it and now, he had to live with it for the rest of his life. Just as Denver got a grip on his frantic heart and was ready to leave the place, he was shocked to realize that Thor's face was very handsome.

“Even though you're a thug, your looks sell, Thor. I can feel your solid muscles. Yeah, maybe you're some kind of debt collector bouncer, so your body looks like a bodybuilder,” Denver said after assessing Thor's physique at a glance. “Hem, I used to daydream about having shoulder-length hair like you, Thor. However, now that I think about it, this hair is annoying.”

Denver held Thor's long hair in his hands. He tried to find a rope or rubber to tie it up, but couldn't find any. Denver resigned himself to the fact that today's events were out of his control. The man with shoulder-length blonde hair then felt in his jeans pocket for something that was stuck. He was pleased to find a synthetic leather wallet attached by a chain to the belt strap.

“Thug style is different from ordinary people,” Denver muttered and looked at the contents of the wallet carefully. “Yes, your name is Thor Benedict. And, what's this? You don't have a single debit or credit card? Even the cash is only 100 dollars!”

Denver shook his head. At least in his former life, he still had more money than Thor from working with Stanton. But, this handsome thug was very poor. Denver massaged his suddenly heavy forehead after seeing the contents of Thor's wallet.

[If you succeed in the first mission, you will get money from the system. The system knows that Thor is poor]

Denver chuckled in annoyance. He felt that the system and the voice of the man named Nano seemed to know about his life. Denver, who wanted to rest immediately, but did not know where to go, left the area. He was reluctant to meet the people he had met earlier in the apartment room because he was afraid of being caught by the police for a drug party.

“Is ... Thor one of the addicts? If so, this is bad! Your reputation is awful, Thor!” screeched an annoyed Denver who then spotted a refueling station.

Feeling that Thor's body stinks, and he needs to clean up, he chooses to take a short break. His fuel tank was still more than enough to carry him around, finding out where he was. The long-haired man carried a black tote bag that looked scary because it had a picture of a skull and seemed to contain a weapon. However, it was the only bag on his stolen motorbike. When Denver entered the store, the cashier that night panicked.

“Hmm?” Denver saw that above the cashier's head were five stars, but only one was lit up. The other four stars were dim. “One star? You, you're too much,” Denver muttered, annoyed that the man had judged Thor so poorly despite his appearance. Denver took a deep breath and walked bravely to the cashier.
