MY STORY OF BEING WEAK!!

In the year 2022, a gate suddenly appeared out of nowhere and monsters began to swarm out of it. Humanity was caught off guard in facing the beast, monster, etc.. out of those gates and was completely helpless with the current weaponry they have, because the higher the rank, the faster, stronger, and more intelligent those monsters become.

But gradually, humans with unknown abilities start to fight the monsters. People called them 'awakeners'. With their abilities, they start to take back the cities that are swarming with monsters little by little and create a safe zone for the humans to live in.

The awakeners, who were now known as hunters, and the government of each country started to work together, turning the side of survival against beasts, and monsters into a mission of hunting, using the materials they obtained. They processed them into different items, weapons, and food sources.

After 13 years, the surviving country has stabilized and granted the hunters their rights and merits. To strengthen the connection between awakeners (hunters) and non-awakeners (ordinary people), making the hunters be the 'center of power to survive against monsters. Granting the hunters to establish their guilds.

Year, 2048 at Country P, Area 10

"Uncle, do you have any information about my father," a young man asked when he entered the office of one of the well-known guilds in country P. The young man was tall, the height of 5'7, the color of his hair was black, and was good looking wearing casual black pants in line with his hoodie jacket.

"Oh, Raven you're here... no I don't have any information, the coms are still in work and I have been the one who specially ordered to keep the coms online but sadly to say we still don't have any information it been 10 years" he's uncle said while sitting in the guild master seat and rubbing his temple with his left hand.

His uncle was dressed in business attire and was 6'1 in height. He was in his 40s but still had the aura of being elegant and charming to women. He was one of the 7-S ranked hunters in the country and was at the rank of second to the strongest S-rank hunter in country P, a lot of information saying his uncle was even stronger because of his ability. Even though he was not a champion, no one can deny his strength and magical abilities.

His uncle looked at Raven with care and concern because this nephew of his had been searching for information secretly to other guilds, black markets, and associations that had more information on gates, especially the gate that his father and the elite team of the guild entered and was locked in for an unknown reason. Making other hunters not have any way of entering the special gate, once a selected team enters the special gates it's practically abnormal for this special gate to see it locked up till this 10 years. Knowing this they can't be certain if the team is still alive or if the special gate just lock itself up. It's practically uncertain to know more than this.

" Raven, I know you are worried about your father and all, I'm also worried about my brother were not certain if they are alive or dead. I... I just want you to know that we are doing the best we can at that special gate."

"I should be the one to handle all this burden, not you. Go and have a rest", his uncle gave a smile and patted his shoulder for encouragement.

"Thank you, uncle, I'm also sorry for being a burden. I wish I could have the power to help you" with a disappointed smile Raven can only go home.

After going out of the guild building, Raven saw the logo of the guild, which was a hand holding a spear made of lighting. When he saw it, he could not help but think back to the past story and how showy his father had been to him. He could not help but laugh at how childish both he and his father is back then.

"Raven look at this do you like it hehe, I know you liked it come on to see and praise your father for being one of the champions of gods hahaha" his father laugh out loud while being showy to him as a god's champion.

"Father, you are amazing. Can I be a champion of the gods when I awaken my ability? I. I also want to be a champion of your god and hold lighting as a weapon" a 9yr-old Raven said while jumping in excitement seeing his father's stunts and being wrapped with lighting.

God's champion is another power or ability that awakeners could have, having this title on their status grants hunters to have a part of the god's power. but this power could only be granted to those people the gods see as worthy or who have won their approval for their powers and abilities. Unlike a simple or double awakening, the gods are selective about whom they give their powers and abilities to represent them. Only a few have such the title of champion and some of them are the guild masters of a country and are S or SSS hunters. When they obtain the power of gods, even an E-rank hunter can become a country protector because of this god's power.

Humans' non-ability or ability users. When they learned about the god's existence and are watching them, they tried to show their ability and praise the gods to please them. But only a few succeeded and it's unknown what are the criteria to become a champion of the gods.

"Hahaha, of course, you can, your my son after all, and with hard work, belief, and your kindness, gods will see you worthy of their power. Heck, I'm even willing to be your sponsor, seeing my son is a good child and cute, how can the gods not take you as a champion? Maybe they will even choose you as a leading champion haha", his father said while being emotional, wiping his fake tears and then laughing wildly.

"Father, I will do my best, you can count on me" smiling while watching his father in a lightning cloak.

" That's my son, Maria can you see that our son is the best like us, he has the will hahaha", shouting at the heavens with pride.

He saw how energetic his father was and how he deterred every beast, and the monster that tried to come out of the gates in their zone with his uncle and the guild's team member they become the number 1 guild in country P.

After another year, the special gate appeared out of nowhere in the heart of one of the cities, the Lightning spear guild jurisdiction zone. Because of this, his father and the elites of the lightning spear guild decided to venture to the special gate to clear the gate. that's the last time he has seen his father.

"Father, why aren't you back yet? Is that special gate imprisoning you and your team?" Raven murmured to himself...

Raven's left eye was already in tears, remembering his father's childish self in his memory. He could only wipe his tears and go home because he couldn't help his weak status.

After he got home, he did his daily routine of exercise: 100 push-ups, 50 squats, 50 curls, and 30 minutes of jogging on the treadmill. Even though he can't raise his status, he can at least strengthen himself if there is any situation that comes up and can't be a burden to his uncle in the guild and being the son of a SS hunter, lightning fist, he can at least show that he's not a slacker and was down to earth which people respected him even if he's just an F-rank hunter.

"Hays. They're still the same words in my status. Back then, I wished to become a champion, but the gods didn't answer me, because I am not qualified to become their champion, being an awakened with an ability that can't be fully awakened hays I don't know what to do, but at least may speed was twice of an F-rank hunter within a minute, I can use appraisal with my eyes even though only few information, my third skill I still don't know what it's reall used, only tinker can fully be used, I level it up to level 4 and now I'm stuck this is funny for me, pops where are you!" Raven can only sigh seeing his status he was different from the other hunter he can't absorb crystal nor be selected as champion because his status doesn't let him even after 4 years of researching and asking his uncle about these things, he still can't get information nor get his mind about his status, especially his evaluation.
