So This Is a Trap

Arly's hands were already holding the shopping bag, she had just finished buying all the Bishop family's needs, actually Arly had finished her task two hours ago, who knows what happened so that one by one the Bishop family members started ordering many different types of food.

Arly looked up at the sky, lightning looked like a camera flash, rain began to fall to the earth, some people immediately ran to find shelter, some continued walking because they had prepared umbrellas before the rain.

"Shit! I forgot to bring a raincoat, I should wait until the rain stops," Arly said to himself.

"Hey... homeless person, don't come near me, your body odor makes me nauseous, please move away," shouted a beautiful woman while covering her nose, she even had time to spray expensive perfume towards Arly as if trying to get rid of the unpleasant odor emanating from the body of the homeless person nearby.

Yes, the old clothes that Arly wore were indeed similar to homeless people, moreover he always carried a rag that was always placed on his shoulder, like a servant, and not only that, even Arly's body was also bruised as if indicating that he had just received dozens of blows, making everyone feel uncomfortable if they were beside him.

Arly didn't want to argue with the woman and immediately moved away, Arly sat in front of a clothing store that had closed a few minutes ago, Arly had just leaned his back relaxed on the chair suddenly his cellphone vibrated indicating an incoming call.

With a trembling body enduring the increasingly piercing cold, Arly dared to continue walking into the dark and silent villa.

“Let go of me… don’t touch me.” A woman’s scream made Arly’s body freeze for a moment, the scream of pain mixed with despair made Arly’s steps wider towards the source of the sound.

“Ruby… Ruby screams one more time so I can hear your voice,” Arly shouted without thinking.

“Arly, go… go away Arly.” The frustrated voice kicked Arly’s eardrums again, causing pain in the pit of her stomach.

"I will not leave you Ruby," Arly shouted as he opened one of the villa doors.

Arly was shocked when he saw Ruby's condition which looked messy, a man was defiling Ruby on the bed. Arly clenched both of his fists in anger, he was about to step forward to save Ruby, but his intention was stopped after the back of his head was hit by a blunt object, reddish liquid seeped from the blow, Arly's head felt heavy, he tried to walk closer to Ruby who was still screaming in pain because of the rough treatment of the masked man. But another blow that hit Arly's head made him completely lose consciousness and fall to the dirty floor of the villa.

A few hours later.

Arly opened both of his eyes, one of his hands reached out to hold the back of his head which was wet with red liquid. Arly tried to stand up from his position then staggered towards Ruby who was still lying helplessly on the bed with a naked body.

There was no one in this room, Ruby was lying unconscious, her clothes fell scattered on the floor.

"Who did this to you, Ruby, who is that cruel person," said Arly in a trembling voice, tears falling from her eyes, unable to bear to see the suffering her friend was experiencing.

Arly and Ruby were raised in an orphanage, they were both orphans. Ruby was Arly's best friend, they were always together from childhood to adulthood.

Arly's hand moved to take off the jacket she was wearing, Arly covered Ruby's naked body then hugged her tightly with tears dripping, at the same time the door to the room was opened so roughly.

"Raise your hands up, don't try to fight back! You are accused of rape and abuse." Shouted a man with a small gun in his hand, pointing the gun at Arly with a sharp gaze.

"I'm innocent, I didn't do anything to her, you all misunderstood," said Arly in a voice that trembled on the tip of his tongue.

Arly looked at the five police officers who began to storm in with a wary look. Two policewomen took Ruby to the hospital.

"You can explain at the police station." Without much talk, the police immediately handcuffed Arly's hands.

Arly was forcibly dragged into the car, he was put in jail without the chance to defend himself, or undergo an investigation.

"So this is all a trap," thought Arly with an icy stare, both his hands clenched tightly as if he wanted to hold onto the burning hatred inside.
