Upon Steve Hart's refusal, the neighbour who offered Steve a job said, "Adaline, you don't seem to have raised your son properly to be this ungrateful."

Adaline guiltily said, "Madam, please forgive my son. Steve must have his reasons for refusing your help."

"Reason? He must just be embarrassed that he'd have to be a service clerk if he accepted the offer." Another neighbor chimed in.

Steve Hart tried to ignore it, he was more worried about his mother and didn't understand why she was apologizing to them.

"Steve, if you don't want it, that's fine, I'm not forcing you to accept it." Adaline tried to understand her son's decision.

Steve nodded, grateful that his mum believed in his decision.

"Adaline, you should have raised your son with the right upbringing. That sense of prestige your son has will never bring anything good into your life."
