In the midst of the argument between Callista and Eric, Steve Hart tried to get up with his remaining strength.
What Steve Hart did, immediately caught Callista's attention. The woman immediately told this to Eric, who was previously still busy explaining how his money could make it easier for them to escape the law.
"In your thought, having money means you can do everything, right?" asked Steve Hart to Eric.
Eric Daran was taken aback, but the shock was soon replaced by a sardonic smile.
"Exactly, that's why scum like you shouldn't look for trouble with me."
Steve Hart smiled sarcastically at that, much to the astonishment of both Callista and Eric.
"Hey, have you lost your sanity?" asked Callista Cattegirn.
“So what? After all, my sanity has been lost for a long time, precisely after I stepped into your rotten Cattegirn family," replied Steve Hart, himself not sure what underlies his courage to say it all.
Callista's face immediately turned ugly, "Eric, do something. Finish him or maim him for life, I don't care about the consequences anymore."
Eric Daran nodded his head in agreement, this was what he had wanted to do from the beginning before Callista interfered earlier.
"Rubbish, is there any last words from you before you die?" asked Eric Daran, as he took a step towards Steve.
"I should be the one asking that," said Steve Hart.
"This scum hasn't realised the situation yet," said Eric Daran with a displeased face.
Steve Hart realised he couldn't fight Eric in his current state, making Steve even more convinced of his plan to change things.
"Hey, guys."
Steve Hart suddenly spoke to the five big men who had beaten him.
"How much are you getting paid to do all this?" Steve Hart asked the five.
The five were wordless, wondering why Steve was asking them that.
Not only the five, Callista also Eric showed similar curiosity.
"Let's just say, I'll pay double what you've already received so you're willing to beat him back up," Steve Hart continued while pointing at Eric.
The five big men each raised their eyebrows, quite tempted by the offer.
"Nonsense, scum like you have the money to pay them!" exclaimed Eric Daran.
Steve Hart did not respond to Eric's exclamation, opting to continue persuading the five big men to be his man.
"500,000 dollars, is that enough to make you guys turn away from him and help me?" Steve Hart without hesitation.
Eric Daran, who was getting tired of hearing the nonsense that kept coming out of Steve's mouth, finally tried to swing his punches to shut Steve up.
Before Eric's punch had hit Steve, one of the five big men stopped him and even pushed Eric away until he fell afterwards.
"You guys... what's in your brains?" Eric Daran asked the five big men.
The five were now standing in front of Steve to protect him, which angered Eric because he was the first to pay them.
"Shit, do you really think trash like that can pay?" asked Eric Daran incredulously.
"Whether we can or not is our business with him, who do you think you are to organise us?"
"I'm the one who paid you, you bastards!" exclaimed Eric Daran.
The five big men burst into laughter at that moment, not long after which one of them said, "You paid us $25,000, is that even worth the $500,000 he promised?"
Eric Daran, who knows all too well how poor Steve Hart is, immediately cursed in annoyance.
"Do it then, let's see how you'll regret being duped by him!"
Steve Hart let out a long sigh at the whole conversation, finding it ironic that Eric was cornered because of the money he was always so proud of.
"Now, tell us what to do, sir?" one of the five asked Steve.
"Make him suffer more than me," said Steve Hart.
"Before we do that, you do have the money, don't you?" one of them asked for confirmation.
"Just do it, you can do anything to me if I don't pay."
Hearing Steve Hart's words, the five big men immediately surrounded Eric. It was exactly the same situation as how they had beaten Steve.
"Damn it, I Eric Daran will not allow this!" Eric exclaimed.
"Shut your mouth and grit your teeth."
The five big men immediately began beating Eric similar to what they had done to Steve.
Steve Hart looked on with a flat, expressionless face. His anger at Eric, really made him want to see Eric suffer far worse than the suffering he had always felt.
"Sir, can we stop this yet?" one of the five asked Steve.
Eric Daran's condition was already so bad, the man didn't even seem to have the energy to get up from where he was.
"Rubbish, you'll regret it!" exclaimed Eric Daran.
Steve Hart raised his eyebrows, he had originally wanted to end it all, who would have thought it was Eric himself who rejected him.
"Do something about his mouth, I don't want to hear any more nonsense from him."
"Alright, sir."
Eric Daran who was already lying limp on the ground, could not do anything to resist. He seemed to just surrender as punch after punch hit his mouth area.
It didn't take long for several of Eric's teeth to fall out of place, a sign that the blows that had been dealt to him were no joke.
"Damn... forgive me," Eric Daran said.
Steve signalled for the five big men to stop, he might be upset, but he still had a limit to his actions.
"Is there anything else, sir?"
The five big men waited for orders from Steve, the $500,000 fee certainly wasn't meant to just take care of Eric and they understood this.
Steve Hart remained silent as his eyes fell on Callista, the woman seemingly transfixed and not moving an inch from her position.
"You... don't mess with me!" exclaimed Callista in a panic after noticing Steve's stare.
"I'm just following your game, is there anything wrong with that?" asked Steve Hart.
"Rubbish, just watch out you ...."
Callista immediately ran full of fear towards the Cattegirn residence, she felt that something bad would happen to her if she stayed there.
"Should we go after her?" asked one of the five big men.
"No need, maybe next time," said Steve Hart.
Steve Hart immediately transferred the money he promised to the five men, they seemed satisfied that Steve kept his promise.

Steve Hart hurriedly made his way back to the Cattegirn family residence, concerned that Callista might divulge something unsettling to Agatha about what had just happened.Upon Steve's arrival at home, he found Agatha in the living room, enjoying her breakfast."What happened to you?" Agatha inquired, eyeing Steve's bruised face."Oh, just a tumble during my morning run," Steve explained.Agatha nodded, leaving Steve wondering if she had heard anything about the recent events from Callista."What's up?" Agatha asked, sensing something odd about Steve's demeanor."Oh, it's nothing... have you seen Callista by any chance?""Callista? Was she here? Where? I didn't see her," Agatha replied, glancing around the house.Steve sighed in relief, realizing that Callista had likely left immediately after picking up her forgotten car."Hufthhh... seems like maintaining one's dignity pays off," Steve muttered.Steve had a sense of why Callista might have withheld the recent happenings – not wanti
The store manager had discussed Agatha's request with his staff, and in the end, they could only approach Agatha with somewhat displeased expressions on their faces.Agatha immediately sensed what the manager wanted to convey and felt deeply disappointed."Miss Agatha, although this seems unlikely... I can try to arrange it if you truly want to have this diamond necklace," the manager suddenly said."Can you? If it's possible, please make it happen," Agatha replied.A meaningful smile appeared on the manager's face, triggering suspicion in Steve Hart's mind."What about a dinner with me? I can provide you with this diamond necklace with the money you have now. But you'll need to pay the rest soon because my boss will be upset if he finds out about this," the store manager explained with a broad smile.Steve Hart immediately clenched his fists, confirming the manager's interest in Agatha.Steve Hart wanted to persuade Agatha to reject the store manager's proposal, although it seemed un
"Sir, stop fooling around and leave." The store manager seemed annoyed with Steve Hart's nonsense, thinking Steve was doing all this just to disturb him from getting closer to Agatha.Feeling the situation becoming more complicated, Agatha, who had been silent until then, finally made a decision."Steve, forget about the necklace; let's just leave," Agatha said, intending to pull Steve's arm to leave the place."No, you really want the necklace, right? If it is so, just wait for me a moment. I'll pay it for you." Steve Hart released Agatha's hand from his arm's grip.Agatha was genuinely curious about what made Steve seem different, as if he could truly follow through on what he said."Can you trust me... just this once?" asked Steve to Agatha.Steve's words carried a lot of seriousness, melting Agatha's resolve and somehow letting Steve proceed with what he wanted to do.Feeling that he had gained Agatha's approval, Steve was determined to get it done faster.Steve attempted again to
On the way back home, Agatha remained silent. Her mind was filled with various troubling questions. Meanwhile, Steve realized something; from the start, Agatha had been clutching tightly onto the necklace pendant that now adorned her neck in a beautiful loop.‘Does she truly harbor feelings for me?’ Steve mused quietly to himself. ‘Damn it! Here I am, ruminating on trivialities again,’ he chided himself in silence.Midway through their journey, Agatha, who had been silent from the outset, suddenly initiated a conversation. "Steve, where did you get a million dollars to buy this necklace?"Steve Hart paused for a moment, unsure how to explain. Even if he tried to convey the intricacies of his system to Agatha, he was certain she'd deem him insane."For now, I can't delve into the details. But rest assured, I've never engaged in anything criminal to earn money," Steve replied vaguely.Agatha furrowed her brow, compelling Steve to sense the need for a more detailed explanation.Rubbing h
Steve Hart continued to read the newly opened feature. Right in front of him was the name of the feature, and Steve was somewhat puzzled by it.[Incident Recorder Feature:-Incidents inside the bar Price: 1 million dollars-Incidents near the Cattegirn family residence Price: 1 million dollars]‘System, what does this feature mean?’ murmured Steve Hart.[The Incident Recorder Feature allows the system to record incidents experienced by the Host, similar to CCTV; the recorded footage will be sent to the Host's phone after purchase.]Steve Hart looked at the message, without hesitation, and immediately purchased two recordings from the feature. "Alright, I want to buy it."[Ding!][Purchase Processed][Balance Deducted][Purchase Successful, incident recordings will be sent to the Host's phone...][Ding!][Video recordings have been successfully sent to the Host's phone!]Steve Hart immediately checked his phone as a message arrived. Opening the message, it contained video recordings of
Upon hearing that Steve had something to prove his innocence, Agatha breathed a sigh of relief, but not Olivia."Trash, stop acting up and just follow the arrest procedure! I can't wait to see you in jail!" exclaimed Olivia Cattegirn, feeling this was her chance to distance Agatha from the useless man that was Steve."Mother-in-law, I'm still your son-in-law. How could you say something like that?" asked Steve Hart, feeling his mother-in-law had crossed a line."Which mother in this world would want her daughter to marry someone like you? It's better for you to rot in jail so my daughter can have a brighter future!"Steve Hart sighed deeply, realizing that was the reason Olivia wanted to see him arrested. Because of this, he became more determined to turn the situation around.'Is the bright future she mentioned for Agatha to live with that damn guy?' thought Steve, glancing slightly towards Eric Daran. At this moment, Steve wanted to show Olivia how despicable Eric Daran's behavior t
Steve Hart carried on with his life as usual after Eric Daran's arrest. Despite Eric being found guilty, due to the Daran family's influence, Eric Daram only received a few months in prison.Steve didn't dwell on it much; in fact, he felt it was enough, sparing him from enduring Eric's irritating behavior for the coming months. If Eric dared to trouble him again, Steve vowed to find a way to prevent Eric from leveraging his family's privilege. That evening, after finishing his household chores, Steve was about to rest in his room when Agatha, who had been avoiding conversations and seemed distant lately, suddenly approached him."What's up, Agatha?" Steve asked.Agatha seemed taken aback, not used to Steve addressing her by name without her usual title."Get ready, we're going out together tonight," Agatha said.Steve raised an eyebrow. "Where will we go?""Our high school reunion. Don't tell me you didn't know that agenda?" Agatha seemed incredulous.Steve shook his head. Since gradu
Geran smiled broadly after successfully humiliating Steve in front of many people; this was part of his plan from the beginning."Hey, do you all know what this loser has been doing all this time?" Gerran asked everyone present.Steve Hart looked sharply at Gerran, curious about what Gerran was planning this time."This loser has been secretly observing Agatha. I suspect he's here just to stalk Agatha," Gerran stated.Everyone there immediately looked at Steve Hart with disgust, thinking he was shameless for doing something like that."Damn, it's been years, but this loser still hasn't changed.""Changed? How can you even think something like that could happen to him? Instead of changing, I'm sure his loser mentality has gotten worse," Gerran sneered.Steve Hart gritted his teeth, everyone there was busy mocking him without considering if it hurt him or not. Moreover, everything Gerran accused Steve of had no evidence.Steve Hart didn't feel guilty for watching Agatha; he thought it w
