Chapter 22: Imminent Danger

The last secretary could only watch as Alice's figure gradually disappeared.

Her mind was constantly bustling, her eyes filled with worry, her hand gripping the phone tightly.

Meanwhile, Alice had entered the headquarters of Benjamin's gang.

The people here didn't do anything to her, but they looked at her with strange, sticky eyes.

Those here seemed to exude malice and vile thoughts in their very gaze. She stood tall, quickly following her guide to Benjamin's office.

They ascended to the top floor of the four-story headquarters, where the guide stopped in front of a luxurious and beautiful door before turning to look at Alice, saying, "The master is inside, you should knock yourself."

Pausing for a moment, he smirked, "Good luck."

With that, he left. But Alice remained rooted to the spot, still unable to collect herself. What was going on?

She could sense blatant malice in the eyes of that guide.
