Fake Lover

"I thought you weren't coming," the woman said with a happy face.

Bill opened his mouth slightly to reply, but he couldn't when the woman in front of him pulled out a brown box tied with a pink ribbon.

"I made this myself. I hope you like it," the woman said as she handed the box to Bill.

Bill couldn't help but accept the box.

"What's this?" asked Bill a little confused.

"Chocolate. You like eating chocolate, right? Don't worry, I made it myself from dark chocolate, so it's not too sweet," said the woman.

"Yeah, I know it's chocolate. I mean, why did you give this to me?" Bill asked again. As a grown man who had just gone through a bitter divorce, this kind of thing was no longer appropriate for Bill. He was no longer a teenager, so this all felt a little childish.

"Don't you understand? Should I be more direct?" The woman asked back.

Bill was again at a loss for words. He was at a loss as to how to respond to this. Should he immediately refuse in a rude and cruel way?
