Bill finally went down to the ground floor and looked towards the lobby from a distance. Sure enough, the person the receptionist was referring to was Miranda. His ex-wife was sitting on a sofa near the reception desk. I don't know what Miranda wanted at the moment, but it was definitely an annoying thing for Bill.

Irritated, Bill let out a rough breath. He knew very well what Miranda was like. She was very persistent when she wanted something. It seemed like Bill had to relent a little and obey Miranda's wishes to talk to each other alone, although of course Bill really didn't want to do that.
